My husband sent a quote request through Yelp and Paul answered within the minute! We had a cold-shower-wake up call and needed a replacement for our 11-year-old water heater when the pilot light and thermocouple replacements wouldn't cut it anymore. Paul responded quickly with a reasonable estimate and came out to our house fifteen minutes early to our scheduled time, on a SUNDAY! (Cue the fist bump emoji!) Since we already had the water heater (we picked it up from Home Depot) and the two new water heater supply lines, he and his partner completed the install in an hour and 15 min! (Which probably would have been a lot quicker, had our tiny condo closet not been so tricky for them to maneuver in and out of.) He gave us tips on how to make the water heater last and even gave us a discount for finding him on Yelp! Paul did some work at my house for a kitchen and bath remodel which included relocating some water and gas lines. He was always on time and very professional. His pricing was fair and in one case he was able to trouble shoot a problem and identify a very inexpensive pressure valve as the problem. I am sure other plumbers would have been unscrupulous and found a way to over charge me for a simple fix. Not Paul, he always appeared to be honest and at the end of his work I felt his compensation was well deserved. I called Paul and he arrived quickly. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to find and diagnose our slab leak and fix it within a couple of days. We have had multiple problems with our plumbing and Paul is the best plumber we have met by far. His price was a few hundred dollars lower than the original plumbing company we were going to go with and he did a lot more diagnostic work in order to be precise about the remediation. Paul is the ONLY plumber I will ever use. His work is amazing - he does a great job figuring out the least amount of cost to create the best results. He is efficient, clean, effective, and prices are very fair. for example, he worked on one of my rentals and called to give me the entire assessment of what needed to be done. Although my hot water heater is well over 7 years and any other plumber would have recommend a new one, he replace the key some parts, flushed it out, and saved me from that cost. Paul installed our garbage disposal, we sent him a picture, he gave us a quote before he came out and assured us the cost would not be more than the quote.......it wasn't, and not only did he install our garbage disposal, he made sure all new piping was there.......it works beautifully. My bathtub was completely clogged after the kids bath last night. I called Plumbaove this morning at 8 am and we made an appointment for 10 am. For anyone who's owned or lived in a home, you know that plumbing troubles are surely to sprout up here and there. West Plumbing has helped us navigate through both basic and complex issues. From something as simple as reconnecting a toilet handle to addressing a leaking upstairs pipe. They're great at diagnosing and explaining the problem, followed by fixing it and offering creative preventative ideas for the future. One time, our shower handle broke off mid-stream and the water wouldn't turn off. It was late at night, so I had to turn the water off to the whole house. We asked a good handyman friend to come by that night, but together couldn't figure out how to pull out the handle mechanism. So, we called West. They came out the next day and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. Voilá! Often for home repair, we'll work directly with our Home Warranty. The downside there is that you're at the mercy of whoever is contracted with that service, and the quality of the workmanship is inconsistent. While it can be cheaper to go through a warranty, or shop around on price, you run the risk of a poor job, or requiring several visits and second opinions. I trust the opinion of the West Plumbing team every time!
