A very quaint Italian restaurant with delicious food. We enjoyed the fried calamari, Cesar salad, chicken Parmesan and the seafood spaghetti. Everything was very good, and the two mains were very generous portions. The server was very attentive to us. The only downside was how many tables they had. We were sat against the bar and on one occasion one of the staff reached over our table to grab something... All in all this was a great find and we will be back! There looks to be space for outdoor seating in the summer so we'll look forward to that! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. We came in 6 people and a baby. To start of- they did not have a high chair- we were ok with this. However, the owner came and instead of starting of with hi ladies he started yelling at us telling us we need to leave by 730pm because he has a party coming. This was not stated as we had booked this reservation two months ago and it was never mentioned. By the owner yelling at us, everyone was staring at us and we felt so upset. There was many ways he could have approached us and be respectful, however, he was so rude it was so upsetting. He also was going on about how he needs to pay the bills and by us being there and ordering main at 645pm when our reservation was at 6 was not well received. Although we had ordered appetizers. -The place is so small and I am concerned that it is not in accordance with the fire department regulations. There is a ledge that can potentially be a tripping/falling risk -not child friendly -rude owner and staff -the food was basic- I can get better food at a fast food place Clearly all they care about is making money and zero about customer experience. We ended up leaving and going to casa America Italian bistro & restaurant. The server is interacting with the baby, brought us a high chair right away. The staff are so kind and friendly. I recommend this other restaurant instead of Locanda. Never going there again. read more

I rarely write negative reviews, but this dining experience was truly disappointing. The grilled calamari was not grilled at all--it tasted more like it had been boiled or microwaved, and was extremely chewy. The gnocchi Alfredo came with pieces of chicken that were dry, tough, and tasted old. The other guests at my table didn't fare much better--one person only managed three bites of their pasta before giving up. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the calamari to the owner, he simply took the plate away without a word--no apology, no offer to replace it. Service overall was inattentive; I had to ask three times just to get cutlery. Desserts were decent, but I strongly suspect that's only because they were brought in rather than made in-house. The wine selection was also underwhelming, with almost no good Italian options by the glass. The one redeeming quality was the company I was with, because the food and service were abysmal. Sadly, this is not a place I would recommend or return to. read more

What a delightful and cozy spot! After a recommendation by another local friend, I've been here twice in the past 2 months and both experiences were great. With SO MANY Italian restaurants in Milton - and half a dozen on Main Street alone - Locando shines bright and strong as a contender here. Staff are warm and super friendly. Food is AMAZING. My favourite items so far are the seafood pasta (with white wine sauce), rigatone alla Locanda and eggplant parm. I left happy and satisfied every time.
