Coming to this restaurant was a really cool experience!
The restaurant grounds are really beautiful. We came to eat lunch here on a Sunday, and nearly all of the other restaurant-goers seemed like natives to the place. It almost seemed like a place that locals would come to for after-church brunch. The menu is pre-set. Each table has a bottle of wine in the center. There are lots of vegetables (usually seasoned with salt or doused with olive oil), a huge loaf of bread, grilled onions (delicious!), fresh proscuitto, fried chicken, salmon (very fresh), and ice cream with oranges for dessert.
Before the dessert was served, the owner of the restaurant himself came out and gave a huge, animated speech while mixing together a brandy-coffee-type drink that was warm and delicious. When we were there, a wedding party was also there and they brought out a huge cake and were celebrating. It was a really cool thing to be a part of.
The walls of the inside part of the restaurant are decorated with pictures of stars who have visited the restaurant - Clooney, Pitt & Aniston, etc.
The experience was quite worth it! The food was definitely not my style - but I think a large part of it was because I am not the biggest fan of this type of food. My only other issue was that because it was outside, there were a few small bugs that would crawl on the table. This wasn't too big of a problem, though, as that is something to expect when dining outside. read more
