I am honored to leave the first review for Johnson Family Plumbing. Richard has been my trusted…read moreplumber for years, and if I could give him MORE THAN FIVE STARS, I would. He has solved some genuinely difficult problems for my family and me. He tracked down and repaired leaks in an old radiant heating system and ultimately determined that the system had failed completely. He corrected Monterey's unusually high water pressure by installing two pressure-reducing valves in series and ingeniously rerouted drain lines to prevent further leaks and blockages beneath my house. His solution spared me from having my kitchen floor excavated, as it had been years earlier when the same problem occurred. He also recognized that the sewer system lacked adequate cleanout access and added cleanouts that will make any future problems much easier to address. Richard has handled many more routine projects as well, including installing water heaters, toilets, faucets, and water filters, and recommending a Moen Flo leak-monitoring device that has given me priceless peace of mind. Richard is not only highly skilled, honest, and resourceful; he is also a genuinely good and caring person. Over the years, he has become more than simply someone I call for plumbing work. I am always genuinely happy to see him, and the warmth is mutual. He is the kind of person you would feel fortunate to have as a neighbor--and even more fortunate to have as your plumber. His wife handles the scheduling and is equally organized, responsive, and pleasant. It truly is a family business. I first met Richard when he worked for a large local plumbing company. After seeing the quality of his work, I would specifically request him and was always willing to wait until he was available. I am thrilled that Richard has now started his own company and urge others to support this outstanding new family business. His fees are extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of his work and the expertise he brings. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
