My boyfriend is from Connecticut, and I was dying to spend a day in Greenwich. I've also been super excited to try a lobster roll, so we stopped by this place when we saw it had good reviews. I had the warm lobster roll, and I can confidently say that the bar is now set super high. My bf also says this is the best lobster roll he's ever had. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that we were parked in spots marked as spots for the Lobster Bin. Note that parking is extremely limited in the lot and on the street. Shortly before we were about to leave, the owner came to us fussing about how we were in her spot, even though it wasn't marked as the owner's spot. That encounter soured the experience of my first lobster roll a bit, but the employees inside were very nice. read more

Excellent lobster roll in the area! Kind of like a deli situation inside so expect a grab & go, with limited spots in the parking lot. But service is fast & friendly so you should be on your way rather quickly. Really wanted to try a bisque or chowder but nothing hot was available that day (and I wasn't in a situation where I could easily heat it up - I'll have to remedy that somehow next time). Crazy expensive but very good lobster roll place. The warm lobster roll is so buttery and delicious and simple, everything you'd want in a roll. The coconut shrimp are also crunchy and sweet and so good. The sushi portions are so small, like eating Milkduds. Would not pay for that. read more

I love lobster rolls but theirs was extremely bland. No taste whatsoever! I bought one hot and one cold. I couldn't believe it. To add insult to injury they were $27 each. I've honestly never had a worse lobster roll in my life. A lot of lobster but no flavor. Don't waste your money. read more

This location is a seafood galore paradise. They offer many fresh/ live seafood, and other cooked food like side dishes all packaged in their refrigerators. We specifically visited for their lobster rolls, and the portions do not disappoint. For $18 per lobster roll, it is definitely a deal!!! I usually get half the lobster meat for the around the same price in the NJ area. Lobster salads are served on toasted hot dog bun. I would prefer more seasoning/ salt to compliment the sweet lobster meat. We also picked up one pack of their freshly made spicy tuna sushi with brown rice. It was nothing special to write home to mom about. There was more brown rice than filling. I am already planning another trip up to CT and will definitely stop by for anther lobster roll. read more

One of my favorite spots for fresh local seafood. Stoped by today to pick up some lobster rolls for lunch, and a few filets of grey sole. The lobster rolls were perfect, and overly stuffed as usual. They're offering some very convenient take home options for the Holliday weekend. If you're like me, and would rather celebrate outside instead of being stuck in the kitchen, you can bring home an already cooked lobster, complete with corn on the cob, coleslaw and even the melted butter. They also have pre made salmon burgers, crab cakes, and flounder meals as well. I was tempted to bring home the platter of tuna carpaccio but I'd need to find 10 friends to help me eat it. It uses fresh Ahi Tuna, seared in spices and garlic, chilled and sliced thin. Served over a bed of lettuce with rice crackers, wasabi mayo, and sweet teriyaki sauce. Yum. read more

Lobster was very chewy and tough. Very small pieces of lobster too. The lobster roll I had the prior night at a Tarrytown restaurant on the Hudson was 10x better. My husband was raised in Greenwich so we wanted to take our daughter to visit with two of our friends. My husband recommended we get lobster rolls- FRESH lobster rolls that is and we came to Lobster Bin. We were greeted by one employee who was very friendly telling us of the lobster salad that's freshly made and put into the bun. I must say this is the freshest lobster roll I've had. My family and I were craving lobster rolls and wanted to try somewhere new--the Lobster Bin did not disappoint. We all agreed these were the best New England lobster rolls we've ever had! The bun is perfectly toasted and the rolls are LOADED with fresh lobster salad that sits on a leaf of crisp Bibb lettuce. Lobster Hut food truck has really delicious lobster rolls. The XLarge was 1/2 lb of lobster meat. The meat was more shredded and not big chunks. But the entire roll was large and quite significant. It came as a meal with crinkle fries and cole slaw. My friend got the regular lobster roll which had big chunks of lobster meat. We both enjoyed it immensely and think we got good value for the price. Will go for a lobster roll next time I'm in Milford. read more

They have these HUGE shrimps where just one shrimp is filling enough! (We took those home and cooked them) The place is clean and the seafood sells out fast! Passed this place on a Sunday and wanted sushi, which they don't have on Sundays. I was able to get a lobster roll. Not as robust as the ones you might be used to from Cape Cod, but for under $20, it's a pretty good deal and worth the stop. They do have a parking lot in the back, but it's small. I have been a frequent shopper at Lobster Bin for many years with no problems and the freshest fish until new owners took over. Things happen and always give another try but this was my last. Halibut salad tasted fishy and we all know halibut is mild. Cooked shrimp smelled so bad my whole house reeked even a day after it being thrown and raw peeled shrimp was not fresh and even the bag had the residual smell. NEVER had any of these issues when John Tung owned it and quality isnt same. Only good thing is they now have variety of sauces and prepared foods. Very disappointed lately. read more

In addition to coming there to pick up stuff for dinner or smoked salmon for the weekend (which, by the way, is the best in town!), two more secrets if you're entertaining are the tuna carpaccio platter (you have to order it in advance though) and sushi platter number 5 served on the sushi boat. Super fresh seafood -- in particular the salmon, tuna, shellfish, and scallops are wonderful - combined with a nice little sushi bar, plenty of home-made salads and sides, and very friendly service. The coconut shrimp is irresistible. Right off of I-95, it's my go-to seafood place in the general area.
