I Had a great experience Richard was knowledgeable and great customer service was in and out and able to return to work

I gave 3 stars because Yelp requires at least a star in order to post. I planned on coming here for my emissions but ended up turning out of the station. I wasn't able to experience the customer service, so this is a quick review of the things I noticed there. The line does get long. I was there at approximately 10:45A on a Friday. I was 6th in line. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The most rude and unprofessionally lazy person came out and when asked if I could get my emission done he said no and stared at me with the most idiotic blank stare. I usually wait to review a business after I've been there a few times and this place is no exception. I've used them 2 years in a row and each visit was a smooth, flawless experience. Ironically, the same man was there both times despite my visits being a year apart. Anyway, I arrived at 4:30 pm and I was the only customer, able to pull right in. He had the testing done within 5-7 minutes and my entire visit was only 10 minutes. I will use this place every year as $19 is great when you can be in and out without issue. They take cash and credit/debit cards. This place makes the emissions process a breeze! read more

Went here for my annual emission test, passed with no incident. Hours later I started getting messages my gas cap was not sealed. Pulled off to find the cap was jammed in and I could hardly remove it. Ended up having to buy another cap. Things happen, but why not just tell me you broke the cap somehow? No integrity, I won't go here again. read more

So I didn't have the great experience that people have raved about. I went on a Thursday after work on the recommendation that Friday and Saturdays would be the busiest days. I got there around 4:30pm and I was in a line 5 cars deep. I wanted to go ahead and get the check done because I had been postponing so I decided to wait. The first car was finishing up and left pretty quickly. The second car also was relatively fast. The third car took forever. After a while in the bay it pulled off to the side of the garage. The next car pulled into the bay and sat for a good 15 minutes without being looked at. The owner was dealing with the owner of the car that had pulled off to the side. I'm not sure what the problem was but it contributed to my 35 minute wait. Finally the car ahead of me was seen and I pulled up. The owner really didn't chitchat but apologized for the long wait. At this point the wait wasn't really that big a deal. I waited for that amount of time at the Jiffy Lube in Decatur for an emissions test last year. What did irk me happened the very next day. My car started to smoke and had a burning smell coming from under the hood while I was driving. I found out I had an oil leak from both my right and left gasket covers. Now, while I know this is not the responsibility of the emissions inspector to inform me (hell, he may not have even noticed) I have a hard time believing that someone looking around under my car wouldn't have seen oil dripping and let me know. If he in fact did not notice it then that poses a whole different question... Also this place now costs $20 for an emissions inspection which really surprised me because I went just a week after one review had posted that they only charged $18. Maybe more people are born in February? read more

I and another customer arrived approximately 10 minutes prior to the posted 5pm closing time. A vehicle was just pulling out and the computer was up. The guy inside said "We're closed." I said, "10 minutes early?" He said, "You can come back tomorrow." But I'm here today?? The other guy that was waiting had just driven around for his fifty miles after resetting his battery and he wouldn't help him either. I must add to the 5-star reviews. Since I had the day off, I just went at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday and had no wait. I was out in less than 10 minutes. The guy who runs the emissions is super friendly. You can get to Lobga very easily by taking the Maynard Terrace exit off I-20 since this is right at the intersection of Maynard Terrace and Memorial. read more

Woot, YES! All of this place! Getting your drivers license and car registered in the ATL is kind of a disaster. You have to go to like 900 places & it will cost you a pretty penny. But this place, yes! You need emissions testing here to get registered and get your title transferred. This place is $19 and fast. I was lucky and when I rolled up at ~11am on a Tuesday no one was in line. It's set in a little drive through in the back of the Exxon parking lot. The man who check my car was nice and I was in and out in probably ~10 minutes? Was easy and painless. I will definitely come back here for my yearly updates. read more

There are only a few things I ask from my emission place: have reasonable lines and don't be an asshole. Surprisingly hard standards to meet, apparently. This place had both and smiling servicemen as an added bonus. I'm definitely going to return to the attached shop for additional service. read more

Only $18 for a fast emissions check! I've been hunting around for a couple of weeks for a place less than $25 in the East Atlanta/ Decatur area and stumbled across this large $18 emissions sign at the corner of Memorial Drive and Maynard Terrace (just off I-20)---the gas station next to ithe Emissions hut has closed up so I'm guessing lots of folks are missing this gem! Mike, the inspector, was polite, efficient and professional. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Mike says Fridays and weekends tend to be busiest so come earlier in the week. i went in got thecar inspected in december that old man is very angry so he says it didn't pass so i said okay is it reading anything he couldn't even give me a correct answer to what it saying or nothing this man wouldn't even look at me, while i'm asking questions, so he gave me a 30 day paper i have been back three time's still his machine can't give me an accurate study on the car, so then i said that's it i have to go to another emission shop so when i went to the other one it passed the first day so this man needs to be reported or something, what's his problem, no good i wouldn't give this mman no stars but they say it's always a great idea when you have a man with you so i see that's true some shops do women wrong. read more

This place is a well-kept secret, but it's a quick-in-and-out emissions inspection station right off of eastbound I-20, just east of downtown Atlanta (Take exit 61A, make a left off the ramp, and it's just a few hundred feet down the road on the right). The inspector is courteous and quick, and the $18 price is lower than most of the other in-town stations (typically $20-25) I've used. Highly recommended. read more
