The all beef hot dog classic style was yum. Juicy and good size. The mozzarella dog was delish. That cheeeeeze! Gotta love the mozzarella cheese. The kimchi flavored french fries had a little kick and were actually pretty tasty. The place is good size with plenty of tables to sit at inside. I always like it when the kitchen is open so you can watch the magic of making the food. Parking is plentiful, so no problem there. I do wonder about possible dessert options, like dipped snickers, Twinkies, etc.... They did have signs inside for specials, like the 5 piece mega box or the signature set, but when we asked, we were told you cannot substitute. So unless you want the hot and spicy sausage or fire Cheeto dusting. The only one you can personalize is the combo on the left. Also, I wanted a milk tea boba and they were out. Service (3/5): My order was taken promptly and I got my food within a good period of time. The guy working the food truck forgot about my lemonade, so I had to ask him for it. I get it, mistakes happen sometimes. He also didn't seem to be terribly happy to be there. A smile and a little enthusiasm goes a long way. My classic lemonade was a good size and had the right amount of sweetness for my taste. No complaints. Food (3/5): Johnny Dog's menu consists of mostly American classics: various hot dogs, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. Plus snow cones if you're looking for dessert. I went with the chicken sandwich which comes with fries and Cane's sauce. The Cane's sauce drew me in. If you've ever been to Raising Cane's, you know how good their dipping sauce is. Johnny's does a good job at its copycat sauce. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't hit on all cylinders. Rather than a chicken patty, their version of a chicken sandwich is several chicken tenders sandwiched between bread. Which made it a little difficult to eat as the tenders kept on sliding out of the sandwich. The chicken was over-fried too so it was a lot of breading and not much on the succulent chicken side of things. The Cane's sauce and the pickles helped, but the chicken is the star of the show and it wasn't there. The fries were fine. Not great, and not bad. Right in the middle. I appreciate Johnny Dog being posted up outside of the haunted house as it made grabbing dinner convenient. While there are things that can be improved, I'm happy they were there.
