The tasting comprised of 6 tasting 3 whites and 3 reds and our kind server was able to give us two additional tastings. They are best known for their Pinot noir from coastal regions. They tend to be on the lighter side, smooth and refreshing. The Pinots were pretty unique. Would highly recommend stopping by!

The wines we tasted were excellent, and we did buy a bottle or three - but you do that anywhere you go. What makes this a special visit was how we felt, that is - special! Our pup was welcomed and they invited us to enjoy our picnic lunch on the patio (come mid-week when there are less crowds!) and enjoyed our time talking to the hostess, who was very sweet, and the wonderful tasting room experience. An added bonus was the walking path ( you will see the sign when you pull in the driveway) that had a greenway and a special events location. This was in addition to the beautiful grounds around the tasting room, which has a wonderful history as a barn, a home and now tasting room(s). We will make a point of coming back when we come back west again!

My family drove up from the south bay this past weekend, even drove up a day early to get a hotel room nearby. We got there a little after 5am, no easy feat with a 1yr old and 6yr old, but we made it. We saw most of the glow show, it was fine. And then we learned that due to weather, the balloons would not be flying. We took it in stride, and tried to enjoy the event as much as possible, you can't control the weather, and we wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. My wife decided to at least take the 6yr old for a balloon ride. They had 3 balloons giving rides. After waiting in line for about 2 hrs, it was my wife/son's turn. Apparently something changed in the weather, one of the other balloons already stopped giving rides about 2 min prior, and after sitting in the basket for about 2 min while discussing the possibility of canceling the ride, and going up maybe 5 feet in the air for a few seconds, they decided to cancel the ride. I thought they would at least provide a refund, or at least put my son in the 3rd balloon that still had a long line, and was 50+ feet in the air. Nope, they blamed the weather and refused to give a refund, or let him go in the other line for the balloon that was still going up. My kid was so disappointed and did not understand why. The very LEAST they could do is refund the $30 we paid, nope, they decided they would do nothing and left a very disappointed kid. It's only $30, nothing compared to the gas/hotel/other costs i spent to come to this event. It was the principle. This event is not for kids. It ss for the organization to squeeze pennies out of kids and their families. I will never return to this event, and will discourage anyone else I know from attending this group's events as well.

The balloon show in the dark with all of the flames being lit to music looked pretty cool. The food vendors were solid...packed and long lined , but good. The swag was kinda sad but again...balloon themed . Here's the bad...so very little actual activity. So much downtime and nothing to occupy the mind except watching TikToks in the cold. Folks, have a live band or maybe dancers or something.

It is not child friendly at all. My 2 children (3 and 4 1/2) met a friend and her daughter (5) to make some holiday gifts. The children were sitting down paining and laughing and giggling and the owner walked by and told them they had to quiet down. What is wrong with children laughing while they are doing something fun? The owner and her assistant were busy the entire time first helping another customer and then sitting down painting. They were totally unavailable to help us. My daughter ran out of a color and I had to ask 3 times for her to please help me find it. I understand that people hire them to paint things but shouldn't that be done when there are no customers needing help? My children then noticed the owners kids there decorating cookies and they (very politely) invited my children to decorate too. When they were done of course they wanted to eat them. The owner said no and put them up on a high shelf while her children sat there eating, told mine they could eat them when they left. My friend did not hear this and proceeded to sit the kids down to enjoy their cookies. The owner was not happy! She said cookies and pottery don't mix. I do understand this and we certainly did not bring any food in and it was given to us. She went on to say that kids "touch everything" and the cookie fingerprints could ruin pottery. OK, yes I get it. So I moved toward the sink to wash off my son's hands and the assistant said she was working on something (she must have dipped like 25 items in green paint) and could we please go outside, around the corner, in the rain to wash our hands. Overall the place is cute but all the potential items to paint are on display and are not to be touched by children. I had to wait to pay while the assistant wrapped up her personal call. This seems like a great place but beware brining young children here.

It was fun talking to all of the volunteers on site about the interesting stories they had about the planes, activities and learning more about the history of the planes on site. The planes aren't open to walk in during rainy weather but are open during certain times of the year so be sure to check that out before you go in case it is something you want to do. They also have some hot dog days if that is of interest to you as well. Many of the planes and helicopters they have on site are in impressive condition and some need some maintenance or a new paint job. It is wonderful to know that our donations go toward maintaining everything on site. All of the volunteers we saw that day were all so friendly and obviously enjoy what they do. As we understand it, they will be relocating in the future so we look forward to returning to the museum for another visit and to see what they do with all of the interesting artifacts they currently have on display. It was fun to see some of the old airplane seats that used to have the ashtrays and sound dials for music in the arm rest. That was a fun memory to reflect on from our flying days from waaaaay back when! Parking was so convenient as it was right outside the entrance. Make sure you check their calendar so you go on days they're open. Please consider making a donation to help the museum continue growing and maintaining everything they have. Go check them out when you have a chance! It was fun to see so many planes in such a small area! Bet it's really interesting to see how they rearrange the layout from time to time!

What really made this great was we happen to come on a day when they have a bunch of old timers here talking about the planes. They were so friendly and knew so much. It's great to get info from people that actually flew planes, some just like the ones they have here. If you can go on one of those scheduled dates I highly recommend it because they really bring a lot to the experience. If not it's a great chance to check out several styles of aircraft, get some pics, and learn on your own. Make the trip if you're into this sort of thing at all.
