I was afraid it would be too difficult for Mom, but it is an easy step by step type of painting, which I also appreciated because I am also a beginner. Lauren is wonderful to work with. She accommodated our smaller group who included 6 children ages 17-7. Lauren brought all the supplies and a wonderful enthusiasm. The room was set up to protect each painting space. She provided an example and options for individuality. She worked with all nine of us and encouraged the younger children and reluctant teenagers. She took time to explain each step and a variety of ideas. Every person felt like they had created a masterpiece. Lauren cleaned up quickly and left very satisfied artists. Located at various venues, including restaurants & wineries, the artists give instructions Goldilocks would love...it's just right. Great direction with enough leeway for you to put your own artistic touches. I love how the assistants always ask the instructor the questions they're hearing so that everyone can hear the question and the answer (because some people might have the same question). Come with a great attitude and ready to have fun. Get to know your neighbors (may i suggest that painted vino do more 'horizontal' paintings so that we can talk to the person painting across from us? ) I do agree with the previous reviewer that the instructor was awful. I couldn't see her example at all, and we asked her to raise it, and she huffed, "well then i can't paint." Uh, no... you can still paint if the painting is at head level.... and isn't it more important for us to see than for you to do a perfect masterpiece?) And yes, her pace was terrible... way too fast.... BUT... they include everything... brushes, paint, great canvas, aprons... and the assistants were amazing, helpful, and had great attitudes. It was super organized, which gave the class a sense of calm and ease. You may not learn much about painting technique, but it was really fun. Everyone's painting looked different... and they were all great in their own ways. I would definitely take this class again... it was a super enjoyable evening. Something different. Except for the free wine this class was not worth the money. The instructor did not do a good job explaining the process. I had to keep asking which brush we were using. The instructor's painting did not look anything like the example online. I would ask the assistants a question and they had to go ask the instructor. Hopefully this business works out its kinks. read more

I love Painted Vino ,,, Sonoma! I have had so much fun painting with a glass of wine or two (and maybe a shot a tequila that was donated by a fellow painter)...close by, giggling and laughing and a little free style dancing paint brush in hand and loving the process of mastering a picture that I get to take home by the end of the class. I felt so welcome as soon as I walked through the door. Painted Vino has a lot of different venues where they hold the classes, so you have options of places and times to paint . A choice of fun, pretty, unique a variety of pictures to choose from to paint. I was so eager to get started...everything you need is all set up for you.
