Would not recommend using. Poor quality work. Didn't complete the job like we asked. When asked to fix some of the poor work, he offered a $500 discount to leave "as is." Some of the poor quality work: pavers he just filled large gaps with sand instead of making appropriate cuts, cracks in concrete, footprints in concrete, did not level any ground prior to laying turf and concrete down (despite being asked repeatedly). He also did not lay the concrete down with even sides (creating ripples and waves on the outer edges). He also damaged our flagstone and broke our pool pump. We had for a 60 ft x 12 ft bocce court, and he had originally laid out 40 ft x 10 ft without leveling the ground. He gave us a quote with everything we wanted done and then complained that he was going over budget. And at the end didn't complete everything as promised.
I understand we had a large project, but clearly outside of his scope. I will say he planted a few plants well and added mulch around it - that is a strength. Overall, poor quality work, poor thought process, poor time management, poor attention to detail, unprofessional. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for anything but landscaping. We did end up adding more mulch because he didn't add enough to look nice.
To clarify: he did end up coming and improving things partially. Still not a great job. Still left the turf unlevel. Still left cracks and footprints in the concrete. Did not repair the bocce court wall where sand was leaking out. Ultimately, we paid him to get rid of him. read more
