Cute cafe which at first I appreciated its community-oriented atmosphere. Kids playing on the piano, a lady knitting on the seats, and families eating. I ordered two paninis and the place did not seem busy at all. For some reason it took 40 minutes for them to come out, and in that time the community-oriented atmosphere I appreciated soured because hearing kids jam random piano notes off-key for 40 minutes gave me a headache and I realized the lady was only knitting because she was waiting just as long for her food When it came, delicious. This was my first time going in and sitting down in LM Cafe and I loved this place my first time going and had a great first impression. What an awesome and amazing place to go it's so cozy and relaxed I loved everything about it from the service to the pastries to the coffee. As you know I love my cafes, I definitely can see myself visiting more often and going to get a nice iced coffee next time I go, I'm definitely going to get some food, especially the specials they have during the week. Everybody is so nice in LM Cafe. I love that it's a family business. I love supporting family businesses more than a corporate chain. If you are ever in Long Island City please go visit LM Cafe, go support a family business and if you see the rugelach try it, actually try everything which believe me I have to as well. read more

LM Cafe is a very cute breakfast and lunch spot with an amazing chorizo breakfast wrap. Drizzle with some hot sauce and I had a really hard time not wolfing the whole thing down. We also built our own large smoothie and added a cinnamon roll to my meal - though the cinnamon roll was alright. On the pricier side. Tried the ube croissant as part of their lunar new year celebration special menu. They reheated it for us but it was still pretty mushy and not too crisp. Also cost $7 which was on the expensive side. Didn't try any of their drinks unfortunately. read more

Lm cafe was a great find while we were staying in NYC. The staff and service were great they were really kind and incredibly patient. The drinks and food were great. I got their American Dream panni filled with 3 eggs, American cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole, and a chipotle mayo sauce. This was a beast of a sandwich and can be easily shared between two people. Nevertheless this was a delicious sandwich if you order it come hungry. This is a great neighborhood cafe with great food and great and friendly service. read more

Within about a 4 block radius there is nothing of the sort like LM and so I'm glad I found it, now as a regular for my breakfast. First of all they have a lot of pastries that are made in house- I'm always there with a purpose so I have yet to grab a pastry to go, but they look amazing and they have quite a variety. Typically I'll get a latte- sometimes I'll grab a "chagaccino" which is their mushroom blend latte thing that's supposedly healthy and adaptagenic, but they have oat milk and other milk alternatives. Their prices are very good- my go to is getting an omelette that I can add 4 items to- cheese and some veggies it comes with potatoes (or home fries) and some buttered toast- so filling for less than $10. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch foods- it's great for people who work in the area. The woman who is at the counter is always kind and very accommodating. Sometimes for lunch they do get busy since it's such a great place, but the wait for the food is never too long. You can also get delivery if you dont want to worry about the wait The place is also CUTE! They have indoor and outdoor seating that is comfy and just a nice place to hang out if you need a cold (or hot) drink in the area. read more

Cozy spot for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee/tea break! Many pastries. Quesadillas and paninis are delicious. Parking isn't the easiest to find but there are worse areas of LIC. Indoor seating is enough for a family or small get together. Two small round outdoor seating tables available. The family who owns this place is really nice. I can't believe I never been here. The turkey & brie cheese sandwhich had apples and honey mustard on it. I love the idea of apples on a sandwich it helps with digestion. Its a cute little place, kinda like a mom and pop spot. Customer service is amazing and they are following covid rules. My friend got the Cuba sandwich (Havana). It just fresh and tasty and I'm deliciously delighted. Their hours are different than their menu because of coivd19. I recommend you try them ASAP. Their outside eating area is simple and cute. I find had a chance to try their pastries, and what more can I say other than, it's delicious! I got a variety of pastries, one of which is pain aux raisin (my favorite... raisins over chocolate for me). It's so tasty and the cinnamon and raisins go so well together. It's by all means a low key cafe. You'll find mismatched chairs, torn leather, and a chipped glass lamp. Frankly, that's how you know it's good. This place has survived the test of time and is filled to the brim with locals from before LIC was popular. Their prices reflect their long-standing presence as 10.25 for a panini is a steal these days. The icing on the cake is the insanely kind, efficient, and mellow staff. Ever since indie LIC closed, this is now my favorite sandwich place. Hope y'all give it a go too. Ps. The area has a lot of character. Super safe still. Don't worry about it. read more

This place is very small and the food is really good. I'm giving a 3 star due to the wait which was longer than the average. Without that I'd say 4.5 star because of how good my food was and you can tell by their LGBTQ flag that they are in support. My mother in law was pleased with the wait either but overall definitely worth it. Will definitely give them another shot in hopes of changing my 3 star rating read more

Just tried this place for the first time. I think this was the best tuna melt sandwich I've ever had?! Sweet Afton is a hip Irish-style pub known for its craft cocktails, extensive beer selection, and upscale pub fare. It has a cozy interior with exposed brick and a sought-after outdoor garden area that is enclosed in the winter. A few of their menu items include "Astoria's best burger" (using Pat LaFrieda beef), the Dirty Pickle Martini (featuring McClure's pickle juice), and beer-battered fried pickles. I learned that they have a sister pub called the Bonnie in Ditmars, which I have been to and had a great time. Last Saturday I came back for a third time. I was surprised at how things had changed; much more laid-back, with good customer service, good vibes, and one of the most delicious bar burgers I have ever eaten, with a side salad, in any pub or establishment in Queens. Furthermore, Sweet Afron had some nice alternatives to bear and larger, and I selected a cider instead. First, I was offered a sip, and then, upon my approval, a full glass of cider. In conclusion, I do plan to return!

They have a giant menu posted on the wall to peruse. When we approached the counter to order, the person manning the register basically ignored us. When she finally acknowledged us to place our order, the interaction was taciturn and curt - no niceties. I ordered the single order pan-fried pancake ($8, but closer to $11 after tax). The menu states a choice between beef, pork, and chicken, but we were only given the choice between beef and chicken. The cashier also gave us a choice between spicy potato or pork floss (I opted for the pork floss), which was not denoted in the menu description. The menu does say it comes with veg, but what they really mean is lettuce/salad. The menu picture online is also misleading because it says it comes with an egg, and displays both a soft-boiled egg and beautiful runny egg cascading over the pancake. Instead, the only egg that was served was one overcooked fried egg (not runny at all!), and it was cold (but more on that later). The quoted wait time for the food was 20 minutes. There's a little station near the counter to grab napkins, silverware, and water. Around 9:30am on a Friday, several tables were filled, but no one had any food (the cafe opened at 9am, so I suppose the kitchen was still ramping up). My friends and I ordered variations of the same dish (the pan-fried pancake), but the dishes were served in reverse order - the person who ordered last got their dish first and vice versa. When one order is more complex than another, it's understandable when the easier/quicker one is served first. Since we all ordered nearly the same dish, this was not the case. The way things were being expedited was not efficient. When they finally called my name, I was excited to dig in, but the dish was cold! The beef was cold, the pancake was cold, the egg was cold and overcooked... I had half a mind to send it back. I'm guessing my order was ready earlier, but it must've sat there because someone forgot about it. Now technically, there are cold elements in the dish, if you count the lettuce and dressing, but there's no reason why the pancake, egg, and beef were all cold... they weren't warm, they didn't retain any heat, they were cold. They were also skimpy on the beef. The only redeeming qualities of the dish were that, fortunately, the pancake was still crispy, albeit cold and greasy, and the pork floss is a delicacy that gave the pancake a little extra oomph of flavor and texture. My friend ordered the Wake Up Combo ($14), which is the pan-fried pancake served with a soy milk and tea egg. Similar to my own egg experience, the tea egg was disappointingly overcooked (think hard-boiled) and not jammy like the picture at all. We all have bad days, so maybe Morning Brunch & Cafe was having one... but this is a skip for me.

There are approximately 10-13 seats, so not great for a massive party, but good for a small outing or for take out. I saw a decent amount of delivery people come in to do pick ups. My friends and I were ordering and were curtly treated by one of the employees. I ordered the fried vegetable pancake with them since you couldn't order the QR code on the tables. She told me the options of only beef and chicken. I thought pork would've been an option and then she mumbled about the options for the additional topping. I couldn't understand her when she said pork floss, so I ordered spicy potatoes. The food also came out kind of sad and was slow to come out. The order was all wrong as I ordered last and then was delivered my dish first. It was kind of sad because I didn't even realize you should be able to pick up the pancake. It was hard to eat because it kept crumbling apart due to the pan fried falky pancake was a thin layer what just felt like crust. I was imagining more like a scallion pancake with vegetables infused or stuffed in. It also came out cold, and could have used a bit more flavor like a sauce or soy sauce. The spicy potatoe tasted a little undercooked as well. My friend ordered hers with pork floss instead and that tasted a little better. The dish also came with a supposed to be overeasy egg that is supposed to be runny, but was a bit overcooked.
