Union Square, Financial District

Had a positive experience with Max Electric and everything went smoothly. Both the initial…read moreinspection (unfortunately didn't get the name of who did it) and the actual work were great. Rigo did a great job with the 3 things I had done: replacing an electrical panel, replacing 2 light fixtures, and installing a smoke alarm. He was on time, knowledgable, and efficient. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest option around but with something like this, quality and experience matters and they did a great job and handle permits and such. They did exactly what I asked them to do and were responsive over email and able to ask the exact questions they needed which made things seamless. This is not necessarily a bad thing but they could have probably done some kind of "walk through" around the place and found some additional work for me. Upselling is obviously not always a great practice but in my case, there were some things that I wish I had done and I think they could have suggested them and left it up to me to say yes/no to during the initial inspection. For example my kitchen could definitely use at least 1 additional outlet, I should have probably replaced a 3rd light, and so on. I do respect that they don't try to take you on a ride but since it is probably efficient to do things all at once, may have been helpful to discuss (this was also my bad for not noticing these things before). Rigo did a bunch of smaller things that made a big difference too like taking out the packaging for the lights and the old ones as well as the old electrical panel, clearly labeling all the switches very neatly which was not well done before, answering my questions and explaining things in a way that I (someone with little knowledge about most of this stuff) would understand.

We hired Max Electric for a full knob-and-tube rewire on our home, along with several other…read moreelectrical projects, and the experience was excellent from start to finish! The project did take longer than initially expected due to delays outside of their control, but the quality of the work never wavered. From the beginning, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. They explained what needed to be done, why it mattered, and what to expect at each step, which made a potentially stressful process feel very manageable. Raushan, the project manager, was great to work with and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He was responsive, organized, and always made sure we were informed and comfortable with the plan. Alex, one of the technicians, worked incredibly hard during the rewire and clearly took pride in his work. Bek, another technician, truly went above and beyond - paying close attention to the details and making sure everything was done perfectly, not just "good enough." Beyond the rewire, they handled multiple additional electrical upgrades and fixes around the house, all done cleanly and correctly. What really stood out was trust. Having a crew in your home for a major electrical project isn't easy, but we always felt confident that they had our best interests in mind. No corner-cutting, no unnecessary upsells, just solid, high-quality work. The crew was respectful, showed up when they said they would, and stayed focused until the job was fully complete. I highly recommend Max Electric and would absolutely hire them again!

BV Electric is what I recommend to all my friends for their electrician needs. BV Electric able to…read moreupdate an old knob-and-tube electrical system to add additional outlets and lines despite being in a 2nd floor condo. Previously there was one two-prong outlet per bedroom, and the 1750sqft condo was on one line. With 4 people living in the condo, this was a disaster because it meant if someone was running the washer or dryer in one room, another person was playing video games or in a Zoom meeting, and a third person had the audacity to attempt to blow-dry their hair or vacuum, the entire condo would lose power and we'd have to navigate down the condo stairs in the dark and outside to reset the breaker. BV Electric put 4 new lines in and 8 or 9 outlets across 4 rooms (the living room and three of the bedrooms) for an affordable price. If we happen to trip a breaker now (which is very rare and our own fault for overloading with too much in one room), at least the entire house doesn't go dark and the Internet remains on as we keep it on a separate line with just the TV. This has saved us a ton of headache, not to mention helped our employment as we stopped spontaneously dropping off business Zoom calls due to losing power across the whole condo.

Really professional, easy to work with, and good quality work. I've since had a second ev install…read morewhere they charged a very high amount (1k) for essentially installing a nema 14-50 onto a pre-existing wiring. But aside from that value issue, the work was great.
