This corner restaurant looks like it could easily be on the Continent somewhere. A few tables in front of a cafe, shaded from the sun by a big tree.
The food is good. We started with the pea soup which was delicious. Fresh but redolent with butter, I liked the pairing of sweet peas against the toasted hazelnuts.
We shared the Milanese which was a breaded pork cutlet with a heavily dressed rocket and cherry tomato salad. The cutlet was small in comparison to anything I'd ever had in Italy. It was a little overcooked and the breading greasy. I liked this less than the soup.
It's a little pricey given where you are and not necessarily on par with what you'd get for the same price in central London. But if you're in the area, it's a decent enough place for a meal. read more
