Your experience may not be the same as mine but overall I'm happy with my flooring. But it took some work to get there. If you're interested, I'll explain. I needed to replace 480 sg ft of old ceramic tile. LL Slidell helped me through the decision as I was doing entryways, kitchens and baths. After weighing the options , we settled on vinyl plank. Then the hard part - picking the right color. There are soo many. After narrowing it to two, LL sent someone to measure inspect and estimate. They would have to move furniture and I agreed on small upcharge for that. After all was said and done a quote was given and contract signed . The installer is a sub for LL and soon contacted me to schedule. A date was set and they arrived as promised. After the old floors were demoed, floor leveler had to be poured. The installer had to get more. At my expense, as the amount was underestimated. He came back poured what he had picked up and needed a whole lot more . Thus another trip to LL and another up charge. All said when done instead of three bags the job took fifteen bags and two extra trips for materials. Then the floor installation began. I had specifically told the estimator I did NOT want 1/4 round around my baseboards upon completion and would pay extra for that. The installers would not do it that way stating it is LL policy to cover end gaps with 1/4 round. I agreed at that point knowing if they removed the baseboards they could have reinstalled or replaced but they would not do it that way. So finally the floor is almost installed but two boxes of planks were bad and had to be replaced. Unfortunately the closest store with them in stock was Baton Rouge-90 miles away. The installers took the trip and returned the next day, finishing up. Now, the floors look great and I'm appreciative the installers did a great job. But the cost went up 25% due to underestimate of installer, a professional, who told me he'd personally done 12000 floors. So , unhappy with the price and increase I went back to LL Slidell and made my case. Thankfully after a week of deliberation we came to an amicable agreement and they credited my card. Not all of the increase but an amount satisfactory to me. Otherwise they would have gotten the fifth star. If you're going to buy there be educated, patient and insistent. It worked for me and I'm happy with my product and installation. read more

We had a "specialist" come out who has installed floors for 15 years. He was nice enough when he got here but his bid was vague. We had questions. We called him SEVERAL times and he never returned any calls. Then we emailed. Never returned one email. We said if the listed bid was the price we were ready to schedule to get wood flooring in. Well, low and behold that was NOT the price. Ended up being near $15.00 per square foot to install new flooring in roughly 480 square feet of space. Do the math. That's over $6,000 to do a bedroom? WTF? If this place is the cheapest in town we're all in trouble. They estimated 4 hours installation. Wanted to charge us $2075 for the cost of that!!! DO NOT LET THEM SWINDLE YOU INTO THINKING THIS SERVICE IS MARKET VALUE. You can get it a WHOLE LOT cheaper. Do your homework. I will update as I go and let you know what I find out. They were all very helpful in guiding us to the proper steps and materials needed for our project. They helped explain everything in great detail which was a great help! Flooring was great. They did not have the T-Molding in stock when I picked it up though. DO NOT HAVE THEM DELIVER if they don't have anything in stock. Took almost three weeks for them to even ship it out. Customer service was not very professional in the process. read more

I am impressed with the customer service, flooring and install that I received from Lumber Liquaidators at the Slidell, LA location. I ordered my flooring in December of 2020 and had it installed by Dexter in February (my request to postpone the installation as I was having painting done in my home). I did my research with three other flooring companies in my area and nobody could compete with the price. The install took two days and yes your house will be a mess but it is totally worth it. In addition I received a gift card for $500.00 (promotion if you spend more than $5000.00) and was able to bring back the unused items to the Slidell store for an additional $300.00 refund. The professionalism with the store employees, installer and corporate customer service was refreshing to say the least. Thanks again for the great looking floors and customer service. Ordered wood laminate flooring on November 18,2016 and was told they would be in 7 days from order . Here we are December 17,2016 and no floors . Every time I call they say maybe next week . I'm seriously debating on going get my money back and going with another company . Now they won't even answer their phone !!! read more

Went to Lumber Liquidators and picked out flooring. Sent them a check through the mail for over $9,000.00. After a few days, I called to see if they put in my order and was told that I now needed to give them $170.00 for delivery fees. Really? Why was that not in the total price OR why not tell me before hand. Needless to say I was very upset having to put out yet more money. So back to the store to receive my refund and there was my check that had not been cashed for 6 days. Apparently nothing was done when I left the store that day. So I asked for my $9,000.00 back and walked out. Lumber Liquidators must be making tons of money if they can afford to give up an almost $10,000.00 job. My advice to you is ALWAYS tell clients up front what the delivery etc. costs will be. read more

Customer Service is not offered at this store, nor by the company. We purchased $2700 worth of hardwood floors at a reduced price. We were told that the sale was because the wood may have had some discoloration and minor damages. However, upon installation we discovered that the majority of the wood pieces has termite holes and are not usable. Called customer service to either exchange or return the wood, but was informed that the responsibility was on the store manager. Called the store manager, who then pushed the responsibility onto customer service. The store manager then indicated that since the wood was on sale, it was a final sale and could not be returned. We were not informed of this at the time of purchase. I'm all for store policy concerning returns, but we should have at least been able to exchange the wood or get some sort of refund. Now we're stuck with several boxes of termite damaged wood! Don't trust this company! Don't trust this store! read more
