Let's be honest, it is full of a bunch of cute stuff that no one really "needs" but when you're out taking in the little city of BSL, you just find yourself buying it. I was killing time on Saturday and dropped in and got a couple of fun gifts for the different birthdays and holidays approaching. I did LOVE the many different and affordable nativity sets they had. I would have purchased one had been able to get a little closer (ppl were blocking the area). The store is VERY crammed with stuff and displays, so when there are large groups of women doing girls weekend and bachelorette parties, it can get a bit overwhelming. (Such was the case on Saturday - these women weren't budging and i had to actually climb under one's purse to get around them without knocking down a display.) No fault of the store... But the displays are everywhere! Every time I looked back at one, I felt like something else had popped up on it! The employee at the counter was super friendly and personable, she made everyone feel like they had been friends for years. Can't go wrong with staff like her! They gift wrap too, but I opted not to go that route. I look forward to returning next time I'm in the area to see what seasonal items they have.

They also have limited hours which can be a problem for anyone who works and/or has a busier schedule. The only day I can visit is Saturday and they close at 4pm even on that day. They are closed on Sunday. The prices are reasonable for a thrift store and they have half off based on the color of some tags. I did find one item half off. A fun storage container. I got a cute top to to wear with leggings for $3. They have a small room in the back that is called the vintage room. There were a few, nice pieces but they were all very small sizes. They were okay prices but maybe a smidge high for thrifting. That selection was a little disappointing but maybe it's better on other days. They had a big table of Dunkin' Donuts bagged coffee and pods at really good prices but it was all pumpkin spice which really isn't my thing but if it's yours, you should head over (this is as of 2/4/23)! I may visit again and check if they sometimes get in other flavors. Have cash on-hand or be prepared to pay an additional 4% fee to use a debit or credit card. The store isn't that big and I was there on a Saturday, so it was rather crowded and I had to stand in line about 10-15 minutes because there was only one register. That's not a complaint because this is a small, charity thrift store. I bet the 2 or 3 ladies I saw who appeared to being working there are volunteers. I just want to people you know what to expect, so of you are in a big hurry, you may want to skip going until you have a little more time. The neighborhood in Mandeville where it's located is a walkable area with a couple of restaurants right down the street, The Rusty Pelican and Hambone. Free public parking lot is directly across the street from Gran's if you can't find a spot on the street. If you like thrifting, you should check out Gran's if you are in the neighborhood.

If you find something you like and want to offer less than the price listed, the employee working can usually contact the seller via telephone to make your offer. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends and the place is crowded with items for sale already. Definitely not the place for a small child unless you plan on buying a lot of broken items. Otherwise, leave the toddlers at home. Every time I have been in here, the employee working has always been very polite and welcoming. You will usually find yourself in a conversation with either the employ ye or other customers within a few minutes of entering the front door. Lots and lots of things that will have you saying, "Wow! Remember that?". I'm a Pontchartrain Beach nut and have found items here that I haven't seen even on eBay. Art, furniture, architectural items, papers, toys and more can be found here.
