There aren't a lot of furniture stores in our area. No worries, because believe it or not, we've found some lovely additions for our new home at HomeGoods The price was right and the pieces of furniture selected have been perfect! One thing consistent about the store in Abingdon is the customer service. The associates are always helpful and cheerful. Checkout is easy and even returns are quick (at least w/a receipt). Not that I return things often, but on the two occasions I have it was simple.

They have everything from chocolate candy to furniture. There is something for everyone here. This is that store you think you were going in for a can opener and come out with a chair, Dog bed and some wine glasses as well as the can opener lol. If you can stay on track they do have a clearance section towards the back of the store that has had very decent items! Oh furniture has their own clearance section in that area..just FYI. Truthfully I give this store lots of props. Even though everything is filled to the brim, it seems most areas are well organized. I received zero communication from the Roadie driver, which is another issue entirely. Even worse, my order doesn't appear anywhere on At Home's website, so I had no choice but to call the store directly. The person who said she was the store director, Jessica, made the entire situation even worse. From the second she answered the phone, she was instantly rude, very mean, unfriendly, sarcastic, and completely condescending. She pretended she wasn't being rude, but the attitude was obvious. She acted annoyed that I was simply trying to understand where my missing order was. Her tone was dismissive, entitled, and showed zero interest in helping anyone extremely unprofessional behavior for someone in a leadership role. On top of that, the store gives no real information about your order, doesn't follow up, doesn't call back, and continually says everything is "out of their hands." Between the unreliable Roadie service and the lack of accountability from the store itself, this was a truly terrible experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location. At Home has officially lost me as a customer. Do better. If you want basic respect or actual service, I strongly recommend shopping somewhere else.

They went thru my clothing/purses, took what they wanted and gave the rest back to me. Policy is they get 60%, you get 40%. (typically it is the opposite, seller gets the 60%). They did not give me a receipt of what they kept of mine. When I went to pickup my unsold items, I was absolutely sick at the commission I received. I gave them NWT (last years items) lilly Pulitzer dresses, tops, skorts, Coolibar skort/coverups, Wooden Ship sweater, Betsy Johnson dress, etc, all name brand items, I asked for a receipt of my sold items and unsold items, they answered "we don't have a printer". more iThey could not/would not give me a receipt of what sold and for how much. (this is a service available on every consignment software, they were very honest and said they did not want to do that for their consignors). Manually we went through some of the sold items. NWT L.P, dress, retail $148, I received $15. Wooden Ships, retail $145, received $11. etc. Several of my items were not on my inventory, and several items on my account were not mine, I received $236 for a batch of great and varied name brand items for consignment (total retail value $1200.00 consigned) Their lack of record keeping/accounting is a sign of not being organized and more importantly not honest with their consignors. I would not reccommend consigning at this business.
