Perfect. Luis came thru one day I made contact with him and gave me a quote and along with his expert opinion on a couple of trees that needed a lot of work. Great price as well. Today, the work was completed and the trees look great, so great that he got hired by a nearby neighbor as well. Out of the ballpark work. read more

I'm a repeat customer. They are always on-time, affordable, and make sure to thoroughly address the tree issues. This particular job was a tree on the street, in which a car was blocking their access to the tree. They were very persistent, checking every day to see when they could trim the tree. I really appreciate that "extra-mile" service! read more

I needed to have a couple of trees removed from my property so I did that Yelp thing where it asks "do you want a quote?" even though it never seems to want to contact the merchant *I* want. Well, in this case thank you, Yelp. LJR Tree Services wasn't even on my radar. Of the 5 companies that contacted me, Luis was the only one who came out to the property. If I am going to spend a not insignificant sum of money for a service, I'd like to meet the person I'm dealing with. Call me funny that way. Luis came out within 1-2 business days of my request and provided a written quote. His rates were comparable to the other quotes and his schedule was flexible. He communicated by phone, which I appreciate, showed up on time with his crew and completed the work within a couple of hours. They were respectful of my time and my property. They did an excellent job of cleaning up. I even peeked over at my neighbor's yard and it looked equally tidy. I recommend LJR Tree Services unequivocally. If you're looking for a reliable, professional tree service company, call them! read more

LJR Tree Services - Before, during and after tree removal. My yard was left in the same shape it was before they started. - Tree Services Near Me - San Jose, California

Their price is good, but they don't trim trees into a shape, they just "thin" your trees. I wish I understood their pricing better before I hired them. I will probably use other companies for next year read more

Luis is professional and very responsive. I needed to get 2 palm trees removed from my backyard. He was detailed in his process and made sure not to damage my surrounding plants and fence. He arrived on time and finished a little earlier than expected. He kept things clean even after a messy take down. I would highly suggest LJR and Luis's services. read more

We are new to the area and, after having a couple of branches come tumbling down from our Chinese Elm, we had to find a local tree trimmer. There are some great folks on Yelp and the response was pretty fast when we asked for a quote. We went with LJR due to a combination of their Yelp reviews, their knowledge, and their personal service. They were not the lowest quote, but we felt most comfortable with them. They did a great job trimming two trees in one day. We will have to do this again in a year or two and will not hesitate to go back to LJR. read more

I needed a tree cut. LJR was very responsive, for the initial quote, for the appointment (next day!), and for all the messages in between. Real person instead of bot / agent. LJR did a nice assessment. Told me what could or could not be done, what areas around the tree needed to be cleared. Gave me a reasonable quote. LJR did a great job. Tree cut quickly (honestly less than 30 minutes). All the debris cleaned up (from the sidewalk, you would not be able to tell that a tree had just been cut). read more

I had a more than 2 story tall, 10+ feet wide tree in my back yard and half of the branches were hanging over my neighbor's yard. They did a great job, fast and cleanup after wards. All the branches on my neighbor's were professionally cut and pull over to my yard without anything left behind. Great job and professionally done. I definitely recommend LJR Tree Services. thank you Luis. read more

We contacted Luis for a tree we needed to be trimmed down in our backyard. It was super outgrown and was spilling into our neighbors area. Luis exceeded my expectations! My large oak tree was out of control. The branches were hovering over my neighbor's garage, and driveway and taking up all the sunlight in my backyard. I highly recommend LJR Tree Services! read more

Luis and his team are awesome! We had a huge tree in our front yard and we inherited it from the previous owners. For the past five years we trimmed the tree and maintained it until one huge branch fell off recently. Luis was very attentive came by and gave an estimate right away. Not only did he finish the job within the agreed time period, but he patiently waited and stayed in communication with me while the city gave me a license to remove the tree. Luis and his crew did a great job removing a tree on our property. I had some trees in my yard that had not been trimmed for a few years and that were badly in need of some attention. I called LJR Tree Services and left a message on a Friday afternoon, and within minutes Luis returned my call. Because he also lived in my neighborhood, the Evergreen area of San Jose, he was able to give me an on-site estimate that same day. I was extremely impressed that Luis was willing to spend the time to explain to me the work to be done and to make some recommendations - including the removal of one tree that was in poor health and dying. His professionalism and his extremely competitive pricing eventually led me to choose LJR Tree Services for the job. Luis was able to schedule my job for the following week. The day of the job, Luis and his team arrived promptly at the scheduled time and began work immediately. They completed the work within a few hours, removed all the debris, and left my yard in better condition than they found it. I highly recommend LJR Tree Services and would use them again in the future. read more

Luis and his partner did a quality job on removing 4 palm trees in our front yard. I requested a quote initially via yelp and he came to my front door within hours to confirm price. After we agreed on price, he was at my home the next day for the tree removal service. He was on time, brought his partner and worked quickly/thoroughly. They both also came masked. I will also say, they took great care in making sure not to mess with my sprinkling system while removing the trees. I would highly recommend LJR Tree Services. read more

Due to only a handful of reviews, I was skeptical, but I needed a tree removal job the same day afternoon. Of course, most others couldn't even drop-by the same day for an estimate. Luis called me he was also fully booked, but could possibly manage to adjust his schedule. Surprisingly, he came-by right on time that afternoon with his partner, gave me a very competitive quote for a tree removal. I added 3 more tree removals and the job was done so swiftly and thoroughly. I cannot speak of services other than tree removal, but quite sure they know what they're doing. I already referred LJR to a friend and would use his service again! read more

Luis was prompt to respond to a request to remove a broken branch ahead of a storm. As he did not have enough time that day, he secured the branch so it could not fall and harm anything --and he left us with a quote for his services. He returned after the storm ready to go and completed the work very efficiently. In addition to the broken branch, he trimmed a bunch of dead material from an aging camphor tree. The results were very sensible and thorough--the tree was an eyesore and now it looks tidy! They used a leaf blower and had a chipper. Luis was communicative and friendly. Good value and prompt, efficient service. Thanks again! read more
