I went to a party that had a Lizzybob cake for Lizzybob Bakery let me tell you this cake tasted scorched and dry and it was not cooked all the way through the cake was decorated pretty non the less but bland and awful let me tell you everything that looked pretty ain't pretty when inform she didn't want to honor her product... I stopped by the Lizzie's Bobs bakery when they first opened up I ordered a Banana Cream pie I was extremely disappointed, the banana's didn't seem real kinda freeze dried the whip cream was super but the crust was so thick it was difficult to cut with a knife I ended up throwing the pie away if frustration. Two years later just a a few weeks ago I wanted a Banana Cream pie so I stopped in again and ordered the pie I specifically stated the crust to be thin and told her I had a hard time cutting the pie with a knife and could not eat the pie with the bottom crust. When I picked up the pie I was reassured the crust would be thin. But as you can see from the pics the crust is thick and again I could not eat the pie with the crust. Also the bananas cannot possibly be real they had a crunchy texture. Now I guess you can look at this two ways one way is to say well he hasn't been here in two years so the business won't be missed or you can say if the pie was really good we may have regained a customer we lost. Obviously, my eyes look open but they're really not. Lizzie Bobs bakery has been open since Nov/2016 and I can actually see this place from my apartment. Drive passed it everyday for the past 2 months and just realized it was there last night. So I made my way over today. Lizzie Bobs bakery is right on Lincoln Hwy in the strip mall. Open Tuesday-Saturday. Offering baked sweets; cookies, cupcakes, gooey butter cake, speciality cakes, lunch specials, coffee, tea and they even have treats for your furry family member "insert your dogs name here". All baked items are made from scratch and protein cookies that's gluten free. Lizzie (the owner) also makes her own granola. I grabbed a couple cupcakes, a Sammie (2 chocolate chip cookies with cream in the middle) and a pepperoni roll. The pepperoni roll wasn't greasy and tasted great. However, I didn't care too much for the Sammie. The cookie didn't appear to be fully cooked but it was. It was missing something, sweetness, softness.. I'm not sure! The cupcakes were chocolate with buttercream frosting. There was a hint of coffee in chocolate frosting or at least that's what I tasted. At the end of the day... We bought 3 kinds of cookies. Chocolate chip. Oatmeal raisin and peanut butter. I was very un impressed. I would have been better off buying a tube of nestles cookie dough at the store. They really lack the brown sugar and butter. It was very bland. All 3 kinds of cookies. Same blandness. Very floury. The chocolate chips were not very good chocolate and not in every bite. The sweetness of the raisin helped with the oatmeal raisin. The peanut butter was just as disappointing. I will not be back. read more

Absolutely worst bakery I've ever been to. Tried several things- all were awful. Tiny creme horn that I guarantee you was made 3 days prior. Gooey butter was just tasteless. Frozen beef roast pie was an inch of juice in the bottom and soggy, with tough meat. Nothing had prices and there's a reason- way way way overpriced. I'm still in disbelief at how bad this place was. I Was very unhappy when I went to pick up my son's birthday cake. I asked for a John cena cake and even reached out by email. When they said yes they had one I ordered one for his birthday. When I went to pick up the cake there was no edible image on it. And I was told I didn't order one ! I paid 55$ for a quarter sheet cake that was hardly decorated ! The cake was dry and not good at all. I left the store so upset. When I teaches out to them all they could say was I could come and get an edible image from them. I also wasn't told it was 15$ for the image to be added . If I'm buying a 55$ cake it would make sense I would've gotten the image too. Never again will I go back!. BUYER BEWARE!! I would give them zero stars if I could! I had them do my wedding dessert bar. Everything turned out ok. Expect for my HOT PINK cake and cupcakes. I was so disappointed. I am still disappointed. I paid a ton of money for them to mess my order up and not even take accountability for it. She basically blamed me saying that is what I asked for.. when my invoice clearly states the cake should be gold blush and champagne color. She refused to return any of my money, we didn't even save the cake for our anniversary because I didn't want to relive it again! They did offer us a free cake but I refused it. They blocked me from reviewing their Facebook book page because she knew how mad I was. I had to leave a review from my husbands page. I am still so upset about it. They are very unprofessional and do not care about their customers. I highly recommend you look for a different bakery if you are thinking about using them for anything. This has been an expensive mess. I brought in a picture of a cake I wanted, she said she could do it but it would not be fondant like in the picture, and she said she could get silver pieces to add to it. My cake looked nothing like the picture and there were no silver pieces--or even visible silver frosting. The cake I got was a small, poorly frosted, white blob (supposed to look like gray and silver marble) that I honestly would have been embarrassed to present to a customer. The frosting had a watery consistency and the cake slid all over the box as I was carrying it. The frosting totally separated from the cake, and the cake itself crumbled when I tried to smooth it out. There were also bare spots where the chocolate cake was showing through. This was supposed to be my birthday cake, been ordered for weeks, and it's a complete disaster. After we had a chance to get it home and see how bad it was, we called her and told her the situation. She did not care at all and had the attitude that we were wrong for not being happy with it. Needless to say, I will not be back and my birthday is ruined. read more

This is a great bakery and the coffee is delicious. The carrot cake is moist, dense, and full of flavor topped with cream cheese icing and a blanket of walnuts. I would give them 0 if this was a possibility. I have grown up in Southern Illinois. I sent a message asking about delivery of 4 cupcakes and a couple of cookies. Seven hours later, I received a message on facebook telling me, I would need to pay 1.00 per mile, round trip for delivery from Fairview Heights to Mascoutah. So, I would have to pay 32.00 for delivery for 4 cupcakes and a couple of cookies. Now, understand, the 32.00 was not including the price of the items. This made me sick. You want me to fill your delivery drivers gas tank in order for him to drive 32 miles. Most cars get at least 15 miles to a gallon. That would cost you 5.00. Sorry, but I have never in my life heard of such an outrageous amount for a delivery charge. I grew up in the area and I will make sure, anyone and everyone who knows me, knows why this is not a place to visit. read more
