I had been admiring Liz's work on IG for a long time. I've almost always painted my own cabinets (have done two kitchens and four bathrooms) so I am all too familiar with how many steps and how much work is involved with getting it right. After watching countless examples online of how much Liz and team put into prep and getting a beautiful finish, I finally pulled the trigger and booked a consultation. Liz walked me through every step and gave me a lot of options. I ended up going with her recommendations to change out hardware and add open cabinets to the ceiling- something I hadn't considered before. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the finished product. It looks like a brand new kitchen! We started with your standard late 90's/early 2000's golden oak which can be particularly difficult to work with and ended up with gorgeous, modern-looking cabinets in a lovely green (SW Secret Garden) with beautiful 5" pulls and I am just in awe of how nice they look. Liz and her entire team are top-notch professionals. Erick her carpenter performed magic when it came to building out the boxes above and Mike and Liz are both incredibly skilled with both paint application and finishing touches. Long story short: I can't possibly recommend this business enough. It makes me wish I had more projects lined up as it would be a no-brainer that I would call them again. I should add: My husband is in construction and he was pretty skeptical when I said I found someone for the project I felt good about and even he is so impressed with the result! read more

Terrible. We had them paint our cabinets a couple of years ago and... 1. Paint is already coming off. Chipping, rubbing, etc. 2. Sloppy workmanship overall. Lots of missed spots (they fixed some) 3. Terrible communication after they get their money. 4. One of the painters stepped on and cracked a corner of our glass cooktop. We didn't notice it until later, so there really was no recourse. 5. They charge out the wazoo just for a consult. I mean a LOT. Save your money. Hire a professional painting company with some integrity and craftsmanship. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. They are quick when you want to set up balloons and when they need payment. But when it came time for them to come pick up, they absolutely ghosted me. It's been almost a month since my event and I have reached out numerous times to get them to come pick up the balloons and they have not responded or gotten back to me. I have worked with them for several events and each time I have had this experience when it comes to pick up. Despite that, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and now I'm deeply regretting that after being treated the way I have been so far with this pick up. This is not how you run a business. This was one of the most unprofessional business owners I've ever encountered in my life. When I initially placed my order for a San Antonio Spurs sign, I indicated on my order form via text, that I would need it by June 14. Days before pick up date, I sent her a couple of confirmation texts, making sure that my order would be ready on the date that I requested. After the first text I sent, the response I was given said "give me an hour and I will check." She never got back to me. I sent another text the day before the pick up date and she never responded. I sent her several texts the morning of pick up since I was only in town for a limited amount of time & I needed to know the pick up address. I did not get a response in a timely manner. By the time she did respond, I was already on my way out of town and it was too late. She gave me the excuse that she had several people out sick and was running behind, but could have it ready by the next day. At that point, I was not able to pick it up the next day as I live out of town. She said she might be able to ship it, but there was a chance that it would be "crazy expensive" ...She eventually told me that she would ship it. (In my opinion, owner should have taken care of shipping since the mistake was on their end) I ended up having to send her follow up texts, asking for the status of my order/refund. Liz's responses are always very delayed and she eventually told me she would just refund me because shipping was too expensive. She then asked me for the amount she was refunding me for and my Venmo username (information that I had already previously sent in our long thread of text messages) she said that I would get my refund shortly. She eventually issued me a refund, but not an apology. After going down a huge rabbit hole and doing a deep dive on this business, I discovered that there are lots of other unhappy customers. it doesn't sound like she is a good businesswoman whatsoever. All that to say, I will never be utilizing her "business" again. Telling all of my San Antonio friends about this experience. read more

Unreliable Employer Constant Pay Issues Working here was a stressful experience. The company consistently failed to pay on time and often made excuses for delayed payments. When I finally demanded my full pay, my check was cut short with no valid explanation. Communication was poor, and accountability was completely lacking. I had my kitchen done in 2021 but didn't leave a review until now. I paid right at $5000 to have my kitchen cabinets done and initially they looked beautiful. About eight months after they were done, I started noticing little chips. I mentioned something about it on her Facebook page, and she laughed at the comment and said their paint doesn't chip. I asked Liz to paint kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinets. Her employees rubbed hole in wallpaper, they didn't take glass out of cabinets and you can see old paint on inside. Paint is already chipping in under 3 months. Her employees walked on top of brand new (one week old) washer and dryer denting both SMH. Liz agreed to pay for washer and dryer. She picked them up, but never paid for them and WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. Her business front has sign.... EMPLOYEES ONLY PAST THIS POINT. Meaning, you can't visit her businesses. I messaged with Liz about wanting to meet to have our kitchen cabinets painted. She was very responsive and we agreed to meet in a few days. She said she needed a $500 deposit to secure the meeting. She said and I quote" if we decided not to use her, the deposit would be refunded, but that has never happened before so should t be an issue" We met with her and then met with others contractors as well. And we decided to go with another company. When I let her know we were not going to use her and Requested to be refunded the deposit, she ignored my phone calls and text messages. She has yet to answer me, extremely disappointed in the lack of integrity we have experienced with Liz. I would never recommend her business to anyone and feel scammed. She is unethical, I made the mistake of taking someone's word but lesson learned. read more

It's always really telling to me when a business turns off their Facebook reviews. Anyways, my application experience with this company was decent. They messed up the color / finish on my cabinet doors, but they fixed it. The paint crew in the house were super pleasant and great to work with. The paint job itself hasn't held up well, it chips easily and wipes off with water. I reached out to inquire about their warranty on the job a few times and they read and subsequently ignored my message. I would have been good with the answer that my warranty period was over or there was no warranty, but ignoring messages from a previous customer is pretty wild. I think a lot of the problem is the product, I've refinished with other chalk paint before, and this stuff just isn't great. You can't really touch up chalk paint either because it doesn't blend with prior coats well. read more

Lorenza the paint shop manager- as well as Liz. The owner recommended that I need 12+ cans of chalk paint for my kitchen. Luckily I followed my gut and did not buy what they recommended . I ended up using only 2 1/2 cans for my upper cabinets. The color that I had selected for my lower cabinets was not in stock at the time of my original purchase. In store, they have butterflies painted as color swatches. During my first visit, I had a conversation with Lorenza about my granite having blue and wanting a blue color. The swatch I selected was blue and I patiently waited for my chalk paint to come in. My husband picked up the chalk paint. When he got home I opened the can, and to my surprise it was purple. I called Lorenza and noticed her that we were given the wrong paint that the paint that We picked up did not match the color swatch that I chose. She told me that the color swatch was painted with the color I was given and that they don't do returns or exchanges. The conversation got a bit heated. I explained that this was not a customer issue of me not liking a paint color it was a store issue with the color swatch not matching the actual paint product. I got nowhere on the phone and went into the store . While in the store Lorenza painted a rainbow with the paint that my husband picked up. It was definitely purple on the first coat . She wanted to wait and do a second coat and it was even more purple and more unlike the butterfly swatch they had for display. --- Even though this was caused by them they only agreed to exchange 2 of the cans ... the 3rd that was open, I asked if they would keep to use on art or paint and give me a discount on another can and NO ! All I asked was for them to just make it right ... and they couldn't do it. read more

Overall experience was awkward. Booked in Dec for work to be done in Feb. ZERO communication between time we booked and project start despite emailing, texting and sending facebook messages. Project was supposed to be cabinets doors & drawers, and backsplash however, the backsplash was not completed. Apparently the painter was unaware of project details- he said Liz would be contacting us regarding the backsplash. Liz did not call nor contact us except to request final payment where she said backsplash was removed.....granted this was via text. Glad I took advantage of the Thanksgiving/ Christmas sale because I certainly wouldn't have paid more. There are drip marks, paint on my new microwave, and the cabinets/drawers were not wiped out from hardware installation. read more

Liz and her team did an amazing job on updating my cabinets. It's CRAZY what paint can do! When I booked my consultation with Liz I had to pay 30% of my intended project cost . But it was money well spent! Not only did the 30% go towards my project price but when Liz came to my home she gave a very detailed consultation and helped me understand what colors best fit with my home to give it the modern look I was going for. Mike the project lead and his team showed up on time every day and were very meticulous in their painting and care of my home while doing the project. BAD COMMUNICATION! I requested a table given by my late uncle to be redone. I came in person spoke to one of her assistants, sent her Facebook assistant exactly what I wanted (which was the colors of another piece she had previously done). When no one reached out to me 2 weeks later I went in person to see my table. Liz did not like that I came in person (they were wanting payment) which I went ahead and paid off. I got my table delivered and in no way was it what I wanted, I voiced my concern and she admitted her assistant did not have much knowledge on furniture and here I am two months later still requesting either paint so that I can attempt to do it myself, my money back or an appointment. Last Thursday she said she could get me in Tuesday and here we are the following Thursday and she "no called no show" on me. I have been polite and patient and texted and called. I waited 7 years to hire Liz. I saved up the money finally (May 2023). The experience from the get-go was not as good & exciting as I hoped for. Even though I got a 30% promo, I came out paying double! ($7,000) But given her promises, I knew this was an investment. The issue is I never got the walk thru like I should have. I work from home & told the head guy I would be in meetings & to let me know if he needed anything. He said okay, after they were done, they left, didn't text me, knock on my door, and we never did the walk thru. They screwed up 2 of the drawers that needed hardware. Made extra holes & did a crappy patch job. Texted the head guy a couple of hours after they left, sent him pictures, said he would fix it. Heard from him 2 times that he would come on a Saturday & never heard back. A week later I texted Liz the pictures of the drawers, she said that the head guy said he was in touch w/ me to fix them. Told her I haven't heard from him. She said they were short-handed. All she cared about was calling me about an accent wall I wanted pricing on. She never followed up w/ me to see if I was taken care of. Things I noticed: THEY DON'T DO SEVERAL COATS or properly wax to seal it like promised. Otherwise, the paint would not already be chipping, they caulked a wall & the huge chunk came off the 1st week. I noticed on 4 drawers the corners were not painted which you can see when you open them. 1 cabinet was put on crooked (the head guy saw the pic I sent). The dots they add to softly close the doors were all sticking out (looks tacky & half a** done). 2 months into it, one of the bottom cabinets came off the hinge. They drilled it incorrectly. My Husband had to fix all this. I've had to retouch several cabinets already. I don't feel I need to keep calling to make this right. I paid a lot of money for half a** work & bad service. I shouldn't feel like I got screwed. While I can admit her work is amazing, I feel like my personal experience fell under the "half-a** jobs" category. I recommend you don't use chalk paint for your kitchen cabinets and rethink this company. AS much as they charge, Liz as the owner should personally follow up to see the work and make sure her customers are happy. Or even just a phone call. If she backs up her work, then a follow-up call would be going above and beyond. I'm just done at this point. read more

Where can I even begin...I've been following Liz's instagram page for some time now and swooning over the transformations she does with people's kitchens. Our house was all builder grade when we moved in, and we didn't have the opportunity to customize, so I really wanted a change. Liz was easy to contact, quick to respond, and had great recommendations and vision for our kitchen. She worked within my budget and made sure to check in throughout the process to ensure that I was happy. She was willing to change my originally scheduled date to make it work for me, and kept to the schedule even though she was incredibly sick! Hired this company to paint my kitchen, laundry, and half bath. Very dissatisfied with workmanship. kitchen ceiling over sprayed in three areas, overspray on my slate floor between kitchen counter and refrigerator. Did not paint refrigerator appliance box or beverage refrigerator box. Cabinets peeling in less than 30 days. Cabinet door hinges missing screws, dont open and close properly. New hardware crooked on several drawers and doors. Clearly cabinets not cleaned and prepped before paint applied as evidenced by peeling in several areas. Cabinets NOT WAXED and sealed on all surfaces. i contacted the owner who asked me to give her 24 hours to make it right. three weeks passed and crickets from this company. I hired a lawyer and managed to get my money back. DONT HIRE this company. Chalk paint is NOT the way to go for kitchen cabinet refinishing. Hire a professional who knows paint. You have to be able to properly clean your cabinet surfaces. Save yourself the grief! I have photos to back my claim. The icing on the cake was a dented dryer top from her employees using it to stand on to reach upper cabinet. Very bad customer service. read more
