I refuse to have any other doctor provide care for my children. She has always answered all my questions, and when I had questions about vaccines or medication, she gave me options and always explained everything thoroughly. I love and appreciate that she is also very honest. I want to recognize her staff, Ray, and her nurse, Kathy. They are always so friendly, and Katherine is always so good with my kids when she gives them a shot; they don't mind it. And what else can I say, they have always taken care of us very well. Since then, communication, follow-up care, and billing coordination have been extremely problematic. I do want to acknowledge that James in the front office and nurse Michelle have always been kind, responsive, and supportive -- they truly try their best with patients and families. Prior to the recent issues, our experience over the years with Dr. Niesen and PA Laura was unfortunately very difficult in terms of care consistency and overall coordination. My son Lukas has full Medi-Cal coverage (Health Net Community Solutions) with CCS authorization, yet claims were not properly submitted to insurance and were instead billed directly to us and even sent to collections. This caused unnecessary stress while my child needs ongoing neurological care. More importantly, there was a period when the neurologist was unreachable regarding medication side effects, seizure management, and EEG interpretation. This lack of continuity contributed to serious anxiety and medical concerns until Children's Hospital Los Angeles stepped in to stabilize his care. Families dealing with pediatric neurological conditions need clear communication, proper insurance handling, and reliable medical support. I hope this feedback helps improve patient care and administrative practices for other families.

Instead I felt dismissed and left feeling like I was crazy. He barely made eye contact with me, only with my husband. When I would state something, he'd confirm with my husband as if to confirm that I was telling the truth, making me feel unheard and a liar. I am the parent who is with our son 24/7 while my husband works and it would be me who would know our son's behavior best. Despite that, I could sense his doubt around what I said each time I answered. I would've appreciated some understanding and empathy considering the fact that I'm a first time mom who was simply concerned that her baby could possibly have something causing his behavior even if it meant proving me wrong. No parent wants to be right about their child having any issues neurologically but that is why they are there, to check our babies out not make us feel crazy for being concerned. I was concerned that my son was possibly having spasms or seizures, but took him to this office because I am obviously not educated in the field. When asked about my concerns he immediately asked how I even knew what spasms were with a condescending tone judging me for using google to know of its existence. Again, I am a parent not a doctor and for him to make me feel like I wasting his time based off what google suggested could be happening was rude and uncalled for. He even made a comment about our insurance being a PPO and the downside is examples like ours such as how people come straight there instead of getting confirmation from a pediatrician. I felt that was disrespectful. It wasn't until it was clear I was upset due to my shortness and frustration that he began asking more questions and even offered to run a test on my baby to see if it was seizures that was happening. He also asked us questions about what we do, our jobs, and other questions that don't pertain to our son and why we were there. The whole interaction felt like he was simply trying to do things to not end it the visit so fast after he dismissed everything within minutes of coming into the room. Everyone else in the office was friendly but I will not be returning and as a first time parent and patient there, I'm disappointed that this was the experience I had. I left frustrated and felt as if the NP was sexist due to how he treated my answers and presence. Still don't feel confident that my son is 100% okay because I didn't feel heard at all.

Dr. Green is an ANGEL from above!!!…read more Our first child was born 27yrs ago. When he was 13months he had to be rushed to ER for an asthma attack. One of the big Name Hospital gave my son the wrong meds., for his asthma, luckily my husband who was well versed in math & chemistry noticed the error. The doctor and his staff wrote the dosages on the bed liner and the nurse returned with injections (2). My husband looked at the formula on the liner, he said, this s+*^ is wrong. He called for help in my son's room, by this time my son was sweating and coughing uncontrollably he was in respiratory distress. The doctor came and my husband explained to him, "why did you give him this"? Doc., ran and got new meds., my son laboring hard I thought we were losing him. They reversed the meds., and the next day my husband discovered Dr. Green. We never looked back. My son is a healthy, athletic 27yr old RN. My 2nd child was also born with asthma. Doctor Green, taught us how to manage an asthmatic child. She said it's going to be tough but we have to be prepared. If you can, start by removing carpet. If he likes to crawl, allow clean hardwood floors or tile. Let him run to open up those lungs. She said, train the lungs to remain open. If he goes to daycare, give him a puff of the inhaler, at least his lungs are good until you pick him up. She said, allow him to play in a little dirt. Introduce him to some dirt and bugs. Get his body used to bacteria, it won't hurt him". As much as we were reluctant to do it, we did it! His asthma lasted one year. My first son asthma lasted 13 years. He began running track and totally outgrew it. Dr. Green is a pure soul. She genuinely loves her little patients and their families. Her smile is infectious and behind it is sincere experience, wisdom and mother's love. She speaks softly and from the heart This is why we LOVE her. I thank God for my husband who never gave up looking for a good pediatrician. In doing so, we were gifted God's finest. I was so nervous and scared about taking care of a baby for the first time and stressed about having a hard time breastfeeding. Dr. Bursch provided us with so much reassurance and made me feel so calm. We now have 3 children and feel so fortunate to have them cared for my Dr. Bursch and all the doctors and staff at Glendale Pediatrics. My children have seen nearly every physician at this practice for sick visits and each and every doctor has treated us with care, compassion and respect. All the physicians are knowledgeable and skilled at caring for children. Our interactions with all the office staff including receptions, medical assistants and nurses have all been positive and we are truly appreciative of their care.

During this critical time, they closely examined our newborn, addressed our concerns as newly minted parents, and helped put our minds at ease. It was clear we were getting top quality care for our daughter from the beginning. Once Adele was doing well enough to be discharged from the hospital, we began seeing Dr Saavedra in clinic for regular check-ups. Dr Saavedra is outstanding; she is knowledgeable, empathetic, and a tireless advocate for her patients. When Adele had a jaundice scare when she was two weeks old, Dr Saavedra personally called local hospitals to find a NICU that could admit Adele as soon as possible. Throughout the remainder of the next few years, the practice offers 24/7 support - you can call in at any hour of the day if you have a question about you child's well-being. For emergencies, there is a pediatrician from the staff that is always on-call at any time. From my experience, they call back within just a few hours, often faster. Yes, the office charges an administrative fee, but my opinion is that it is absolutely worth it for the support and care that your family will receive. Glendale Pediatrics receives my highest recommendation.

She is "friendly" but there is a bit of coldness to her as if she's always in a rush. The few times I've called her with questions/concerns, she has always called back the same day but again, is very rushed on the phone and doesn't do much to put my fears at rest. Sometimes it really helps for a doctor to ask simply "do you have any other questions?" which she has not once asked me. The last appointment we waited in the exam room for over 45 minutes with no explanation or apology (which is a long time when you're dealing with a squirmy and frightened toddler).
