Lizard thicket brings back a boutique experience that has been long-lost! I loved the personalized service and attention my mom and I received on our first visit. Barb and the young sales woman were so kind, friendly, and genuine. The clothing was super cute and on trend as well as reasonably priced. They order only a handful of each style so the inventory is constantly fresh and new. (I only wish there were more size larges in each batch!) I can confidently send my husband here for a gift knowing that I will be happy with anything purchased from here. Not to mention that they have such a great setup for moms like myself-they had activities for older children and a cute bathroom with diapers, wipes, and changing table so I could (for once) take some time to enjoy shopping without going too far to tend to the tiny human in tow. Even the small touches and details stand out to me-like the gift wrapping in twine. Seriously, skip Anthropologie and come next door. So keep doing what you're doing, Lizard Thicket. This clothing store is one of a kind, I stumbled upon Lizard Thicket for the first time yesterday while walking around Dana Park, it's a hidden GEM. The prices are decent- it's not cheap, but definitely not ridiculous. You get what you pay for! The clothing styles range is for everyone! Horrible customer service!!! Can't believe they wouldn't exchange a top that was defective.

I felt very disappointed and offended that as soon as I walked through the door, a woman (don't know if she was the owner or manager) greets me at the door asking if it was my first time there. I said Yes and right away, she tells me their sizes of clothing. She says Small to XL followed by an awkward pause like she wanted me to turn around and walk back out because I'm clearly not a Small or a XL. I was offended deep down. THEN she went on about the prices. I don't know why she felt like it was okay to tell me the sizes. Why don't you let the customer ask you what sizes the store carries? You don't know if it's a gift or if I was shopping for myself. I personally was searching for a gift for someone else. So I went carrying on in the store looking at their accessories. The same woman comes around trying to talk to me. She saw me looking at jewelry. Then she asked me if it was a gift or for myself. I TRIED to forget about my arrival and what she might have wanted me to do; which was probably walk out of the store after her low-key insult. If she didn't mean it that way, I will say, you probably offended a lot of non-Small and over-XL women. I won't be stopping by ever again. Completely insulting and a ridiculous way to do business. read more
