My daughter and I went here for a free trial. My daughter spent an hour and came out of the session…read morereally happy. She said just that one session helped her understand fractions better. They didn't try to upsell me at all. The staff is friendly, students get reward cards, and a snack when there. We will be doing sessions here for sure! We really enjoyed it.

We had the worst experience with the manager of Mathnasium in Sudbury. I have nothing against the…read moretutors themselves but the manager was awful! After taking lessons during the summer, we signed up for 10 private lessons (because that was the package) and then we could sign up for more at the end of the 10 pack. They never asked us if we wanted to renew however. They just gave away our weekly time slot without consulting us or asking us if we wanted additional lessons. My daughter showed up for her weekly class today and they told her that she did not have any lessons left. That was it! Never did they ask us if we were interested in another package of 10 and I frankly assumed they would so I wasn't keeping track of the number of lessons. Who doesn't ask the person in a time slot if they'd like to renew?! When I asked her why she did that, she responded by saying that she had three new students interested (in my daughter's time slot) so why should she change the date for the three new students for the one that had the time slot???? I had never heard anything like this before and was shocked by her response. What she didn't say was that the three students collectively paying than the one student was in her best interest. It was about the money. She offered us a later, less attractive time for a young girl who has been going there since July. If I could give zero stars I would. This is not how to treat a customer who has been paying since July. Be careful about this place; it's evident that you get tossed if they find an opportunity to make more money by edging you out and then telling you they can give your young child a later spot.

I'm very pleased with my daughter's improvement in both math and reading. In less than a year, the…read moreresults have been fantastic. When it comes to doing school homework, my daughter has become fully independent and she now does it every day without complaining. This past school year, she finished strong with above grade level marks. In my opinion, if you truly care about your child's education beyond the classroom, this is one of the best educational investments you could possibly make to ensure both short-term and long-term academic success for your child.

Kumon is a great place to improve all of your skills in both math and reading. It really focuses on…read morethe fundamentals that are necessary to succeed in math and reading. Kumon is hard work that requires patience and grit. When I started Kumon, I was doing relatively well in math. After I was a few months into Kumon, I started to recognize my math grade go up and my skills in math get much stronger. That is not to say you can just roll into Kumon, stay there for a few months and expect things to change like that. It takes hard work and determination to keep up with Kumon. Kumon is also a great learning environment with great staff members. It is fun to go to Kumon knowing you can work hard but also do it in a stress free environment with great support all around you. All in all, Kumon is a great place to master your skills in both math and reading and it truly pays off in the long run if you stick with it.

Last year we needed to hire a tutor to help our son with his math, a friend told us about this…read moreamazing company out of Watertown called Kids for Kids tutoring where the turors were high school kids. We liked the sound of another kid helping our son so we inquired and met with Lisa the owner and were more than impressed by what we heard. An honour role senior named Janaki helped our son learn math. She taught him on his level and in a way that he easily understood. I thoroughly recomend Kids for Kids, it is an inspired idea that will help tons of kids!!! The rates are fantastic, so much better than traditional tutors and your kids will learn in a way they can relate to. First class, top marks, a winner in every way.

I saw that the only other review was 2 stars so I felt like I needed to comment on how great of an…read moreexperience we have had for the past year. We switched from a different daycare and Primrose is head and shoulders above. Their curriculum, communication through their phone app, provided food, and we are able to pickup from the class are a few of the many examples why we have really valued our time so far.

I did not want to write this review, in fact 4 months ago I contacted Primrose corporate to provide…read morethis feedback and all they did was forward it to the center with zero intention of actually helping them. They were was nice and responsive when we were first signing up. We could not see the place due to Covid, which was not a huge deal. However, as soon as we signed up and they had my deposit, it seemed as though every question I had annoyed them. Once we started, it got worse. While they were always very responsive, I felt like I was talked to like a moron. I do have a traumatic brain injury and I don't remember things as well as others but the way they spoke to me was not acceptable. I became afraid of asking questions, something that no parent should ever be. Certainly not the kindness that Primrose preaches for its students. A few weeks in, I was ready to cut my losses and run. However, my daughter was doing OK and we decided to stick out the year. I do want to point out that safety and Covid protocol was AWESOME. The teachers were also great but the turnover was insane. While I understand some turnover my daughter had 5-6 different assistant teachers in her 9 months there. I could not even tell you how many teachers she had since we were not always kept up to date on who the teacher was/when teachers left etc. While we were always required to (and did) follow the rules it seems as though the center itself didn't need to follow their own rules and keep us up to date on changes to teachers. This year my daughter is constantly afraid when new teachers come in her new school's classroom, she seems to literally traumatized by the revolving door of teachers from last year. In the time we were there I received zero calls about my daughter having a behavior or sickness issue, we are not a problematic family. However, I never received her evaluations on time and I had to wait months and escalate before I got them. One evaluation they sent her home with some other kid's report and I sent it back and asked for ours, which I got 3 months later. To top it all off, you are not allowed to speak to teachers or other parents. You can't have their contact info (even with permission) and the app they use goes right to the main office and teachers aren't allowed to respond. It wasn't until they realized that we were going to leave as soon as the school year was over that they started being nice again. But honestly, I could not do another year at the school as a parent even though the Private K program was perfect for us. I know this school is still pretty new to the area and I think eventually the way parents (and my guess is teachers given the turnover) are treated is going to catch up with it. It's a shame because the education and program that Primrose has is awesome.

We're so grateful to have had the opportunity for our son to attend Whitney Montessori School for…read morethe fall of 2014 through spring of 2015. We recently relocated to Seattle or we'd still have our son (4 years old) there and soon enough our daughter (2 years old). The facilities were more than adequate and convenient for us. I was particularly impressed with the Montessori Method with specific materials used throughout the classroom. The simplicity and layout of the classroom allowed my son to really expand his capacity to concentrate and focus on a task. By the end of the school year he was up to a span of 45+ minutes on a specific activity, on his own accord. For a 4 year old I think that is quite impressive. My son really enjoyed his time at school and still misses the good friends he made. We were thrilled with the dual language aspect as well. With our world becoming smaller and smaller its important to us to introduce other languages and respective cultures to our children. Our primary language at home is English and I wasn't expecting my son to speak Chinese as much as recognize the sounds. I was quite surprised when he was excited to share with me that he could count to 10 in Chinese one day. I was impressed to find out as well how Chinese is one of the few languages that require use of both the right and left brain. I especially appreciated John and Lilly's (the owners') attention to our son's needs and our needs as parents. The communication between us and John and Lilly was consistent and thorough. We were kept informed of our son's development in academic and social aspects, the school's focus, etc. I really enjoyed getting the monthly updates via email of what the children have enjoyed and learned with video and pictures, along with helpful developmental milestones for us as parents to be aware of. John and Lilly really care about the children and their families first and foremost and it really comes through in the way they run their school.
