One of the biggest pluses is the water temperature; it's perfectly warm, which makes a huge difference for kids getting into the water. Most importantly, the instructors are incredibly kind and patient. They truly know how to work with children and build their confidence. Highly recommend!

I continued on after the summer, paying $200.00/month for adult small group lessons. Some of the lessons were cancelled due to "black-out dates" or swim meets. Other lessons involved substitute instructors, some good and others who seemed young, inexperienced and lacking in teaching skills. CRA states that "there are occasional dates on which programming is cancelled. These interruptions are taken into account when calculating monthly tuition." So there were at least 9 cancelled classes and it is hard to wrap my head around the math - it seems like a few months, we were paying $100.00/class. I guess the money spent is OK if the instruction is consistently top-notch, but not if it is otherwise. Recently, there was an abrupt change in swimming instructors, and I wanted to talk to someone in management about it. I wrote two emails, waited a week, and was promised a call which I never received. So I'm finishing out my time with CRA since I already paid $200.00 for the final month of May, but as I said, I am SO disappointed and will likely not return. It is a real bummer. Follow-up: The new director of aquatic programming finally called me back and it was one of the most unsatisfying conversations I've ever had. He doesn't listen in an open-minded way and has canned answers. Although I doubt he has taken lessons with the instructors at CRA, I was wrong and ALL the instructors have the same level of expertise and can provide the programming I need. He had no desire to really listen to my concerns. Any nuanced people skills are woefully non-existent. I think CRA has hired the wrong person for the job.

UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES…read more Geoff, who is the owner of Bach To Rock - Wellesley, is a trickster. If I didn't show proof of my bank statement, he would've continued lying about the charge on my card and not refund me. THAT IS FRAUD. I am baffled by the business practices of this place. If you or your children plan on enrolling here, make sure to CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS and ask for class materials, policy handbook, etc. on your 1st day because the staff did not care to mention anything to me. Instructors nor staff gave me an agenda or curriculum when I first started taking classes at Bach To Rock. Geoff claims he changed the way they handle things since he terminated the former staff but I refuse to believe that. He is a money hungry swindler filled with loopholes. It's evident the fired staff learned those dishonest tactics from him. I tried to resolve this between Geoff and I via email but he left me with no choice since he does not care to rectify the wrongdoings of his team. I strongly believe Geoff's staff took advantage of the fact that I was a novice and I was eager to learn. From the initial conversation with the staff, I told them I am disabled and my chronic illness is unpredictable. I explained how I cannot predict each day and some days I am bed bound because of my illness. I went into detail about the constant dr. appts and how I am planning for surgery. I also told them that I will do my absolute best to make it to all my lessons but if I need to reschedule, I will tell them. In conclusion, I still pushed through and made it to ALL my scheduled lessons. I kept up my end of the bargain but they did not. I have the email thread between Geoff & I, screenshots of the class charges, call logs, etc. Before I layout the entire timeline I want to make a few things clear: 1. From the very beginning I told the Bach To Rock staff and DJ instructor that I wanted to take DJ'ing seriously. I told them DJ'ing seems like a stress-free outlet for my Lupus and I was excited to begin. Yet I wasn't assigned HW, I wasn't told about the online account and its benefits, class materials nor the policy. 2. Every time I called Bach To Rock or when I went in person for lessons, I spoke to either one of the female staff members. There was Tori and I don't know the other person's name so I will call her "Rep A". Reviewing my emails, I now realize Tori was the assistant director which makes things worse. I spoke to Tori frequently whether it was in person or on the phone. 3. I had the same DJ instructor Carl throughout July. I had (3) 1-hour lessons. July 2nd July 9th and July 23rd. In between lessons I was doing my own research on YouTube. 4. Geoff claims he was unaware of these issues and deceitful practices until August 18th, 2025, when I spoke to him on the phone. He also stated this was NOT an isolated incident that other patrons voiced their concerns and that the staff I was referring to are no longer working for Bach To Rock. They have all been terminated. 5. I had a lesson with the new instructor on August 19th. I had another lesson scheduled August 29th but I made the safe decision to discontinue my lessons there because I no longer felt comfortable being a student there. 6. Geoff has since then backtracked and tried to commit FRAUD about the charge on my card when I asked for a refund. 7. I called Corporate on 8/22/2025 and left a voicemail and no one has returned my call. My FULL review is uploaded in the attachments. I am very displeased that I have to leave a review like this but I am left with no choice after all I have gone through with Bach To Rock. At first I thought Geoff was trying to rectify the situation but the staff he terminated clearly learned those deplorable tactics from him. I genuinely believe because I am a novice and disabled, they decided to take advantage. 3 lessons down the drain without rectification. This is a reprehensible way to conduct business. I spent my hard-earned money to learn and progress and I failed immensely. This whole situation had me so stressed, I almost had a flare that would've landed me in the hospital. If you are planning to attend Bach To Rock, keep track of your bank statements. I was so excited to start my DJ'ing journey but this has truly traumatized me.

We did a Saturday night Sip and Sew, with 3 of us as completely beginners and 1 experienced sewer. She catered her lessons to each of us. We had the option to make a tote bag or pillow. I went for the tote, with a long handle to wear as a cross-body bag. We certainly got a bit buzzed with the sipping part, but she was so patient with us. I hope to go back and learn more about sewing, what a fun new skill to learn! One location note, we thought it was at the Hipstitch place on Spencer Street, but found out the class was at the retail store at 1280 Washington St. Which is very close, like less than a minute from Spencer St. Our fault for not reading the email thoroughly, made us really late. Just a heads up to future Sip and Sewers!

Only response was 10 minutes after booking a course asking to apply the new customer 10% credit only to be told "no we can't do that. We will apply it to you next class". Refusal to respond at all to any other communication. Same company that will tell you you can't get a credit if you don't cancel with enough leeway. Hypocritical and terrible customer service. Will never book a class again.
