I drive by Meadow Vista Gardens several time a a month on my way up to my parents and loved the idea of getting married there. The venue definitely doesn't look like the pictures anymore, sadly. The property hasn't been well maintained for a while. There is so much potential, but the gardens and grounds have not been kept well. I found the bushes oddly hacked back and a lot of what should have been green was brown. We met with Andy, the owner. My mom connected with him over the phone and really liked him. In-person, I felt like I was being sold by a cheesy sales person. My spider senses were going off big time saying "this guy is a swindler". After we toured the venue, we started talking prices. He was already changing the prices he had told my mother on the phone. To be fair, I didn't actually have my wedding here. That's because my gut was telling me not to do business with Andy. He charges a premium for what you get. He changed the name of his venue a few years ago and there are some pretty disturbing reviews under the old name. I ended up having my wedding at Newcastle Wedding Gardens and it was incredible!

We got out where they had a table to take a picture and sign in lol very cool!! The outside area where the ceremony was really nice!! The. We went to a pool area with nice bar !! Very nice workers doing the bar and serving finger foods!! Then after a while they put us in outside dining area !! Very nice with dj . Then we had dinner that was pretty good!!! Only thing I would say is maybe get some out side heaters cause it was alil cold at night and even with fire pits heaters would have been nice!!! But over all it was a real nice place!! It nostalgically reminds me of the dance hall at Twin Pines Senior & Community Center in Belmont, CA. This is probably my favorite dance venue out of the dozen or so places I've experienced in the Sacramento area. The cute retro kitchen has a few sinks with faucets upgraded within the last year, I believe. I think there may be pull down sprayers. Not much counter space. The ice cream bars someone brought weren't staying frozen in the freezer. I would order catering or hold a potluck. For the dance, we are recommended to keep the hall doors closed to maximize AC efficiency. The dance organizers bring supplemental large fans. I saw a lot of little spiderwebs in corners and along the restroom baseboards. I guess the facility isn't used or swept very often. Parking lot is shared with the library with 40 spaces. There is street parking. Hall rental rates look affordable to me. It would be nice for wedding reception dancing. She was extremely communicative, organized, detail oriented, energetic, and patient. Having never been married we often had questions! She was always more than willing to answer our questions and offer us suggestions. She ensured that our wedding day was exactly what we wanted. We can't in words express the amount of gratitude we have for Sydney because without her, we feel like our wedding would not have been the same amazing experience that it was. We chose the Vineyard package and upgraded to have light blue linens to match our color scheme. We also chose to have an open bar for all of our guests. We loved having these options to customize our day. They also allowed for us to bring in all of our decorations on the day before our wedding which made for a much easier day of the wedding. The getting ready rooms for the bridal party were exactly what we needed. There was plenty of room for the 5 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids + glam squad of 4 to help us all get ready. MVI provided us with glassware, waters, and a mini fridge that we were able to use for those pre ceremony mimosas. The food, drinks, and dessert were all delicious. Our communication with the included vendors were all fantastic. Ambiance floral for flowers and Devine Bakery for our cake all made sure to bring our visions to life. Overall My husband and I are extremely satisfied with MVI and would recommend this venue and Sydney to any couples in search of an all inclusive but customizable wedding venue.

The photos and room description was different depending on what site you looked at. There is a steep staircase to get up to the upper rooms so if stairs are an issue, book one of the downstairs rooms We had the Stafford suite and it was amazing. Nicely decorated and again, that bed was so so comfy. If you are under 5'8" you may need a step stool to get in the bed! It can be noisy with the freeway and train nearby but we weren't bothered by it. There is a huge fountain outside the window that helps. This would be a great place for a small wedding or family reunion... the whole place is inviting and cozy. I am sure the grounds are gorgeous in the spring! They do not offer breakfast so we brought some muffins and fruit and enjoyed our coffee in the parlor... you do have full use of the kitchen so If you want to cook, you can. The owners are very prompt to reply if you have questions and check in was a breeze! We will most definitely be back!
