These guys are awesome. So much so, I'm doing a yelp review. I hate yelp and helpers! Ryan and Dan made my household electrical dreams come true. These guys are professional as hell, know their trade, charge a fair price and care about what you want to do. I reached out to countless local electricians for a rewire in a 100 year old home along with some other needs, and was either shot down, shined on or way over bid. Ryan was honest, trustworthy realistic and did what a bunch of other guys said couldn't be done. Don't bother with the other guys. Call Live Oak. They'll blow you away with their work and next thing you know you're leaving Yelp reviews trying to find more jobs to bring them back in on. read more

We have used Live Oak at least two more times since my first review and again, the guys were on time and provided a great product. We needed additional ceiling fans installed and more lighting and outlets in my office. I was so impressed with the job they did in my husband's music room, that I wanted the same set up in my office. If you want professional, experienced electricians who do what they say they will and clean up afterwards, then call Live Oak! read more

Dan showed up asap, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem and then reviewed the rest of my residential system for my peace of mind...all in under 1 hour. And a nice guy too. Will be the company I use again! read more

I had a great experience with Cliff coming out and solving my problems in a friendly and efficient manner. As a business owner myself I appreciate the professionalism and communication he demonstrated from start to finish and will definitely use Live Oak again. read more

This was the first time that I used Live Oak's services. I am very pleased to say that the service I received exceeded my expectations to such an extent that I would not hesitate to recommend Live Oak Electric. Dan installed a new light fixture and replaced three outlets and two dimmer switches in our home. He is an expert electrician who is efficient, friendly, polite and trustworthy. I will definitely call Live Oak again to solve our electricial problems. Thank you! Mary G. read more

I had Ryan and Cliff come over to install a new dining room light and replace two outlets in the kitchen. Upon starting work within the kitchen, Ryan discovered that the dishwasher and the garbage disposal were incorrectly wired and unsafely coupled together. Ryan and Cliff gave me two different options as to how to correctly and safely tackle the option of wiring the dishwasher and garbage disposal. They took apart the siding on the outside, correctly installed the wiring and put everything up to code. I am very grateful that they discovered the issue and presented me with two options. I have used other electricians, however Ryan and Cliff were great, friendly and thorough. In the future if I need electrical work done, I will call Live Oak Electric first. read more

If you want an EV charger installed, look no further. I got quotes from 4-5 different companies all coming on site. They were all pretty high quotes. In 1 minute on the phone, Live Oak told me it would be about half what the others quoted and he could do it 2 days later days. I was a bit skeptical, but he came 2 days later, installed the quad breaker in a packed panel where he had to move some other breakers around, installed the NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage and was done in 1.5 hours. Total was right on the estimate. If I have any other electrical work, I'll definitely be back. read more

I would highly recommend these guys! They came out and stayed until they figured out what the problem was! Even after they figured out that PG&E need to fix the problem they came back while PG&E was here to make sure there was nothing else they needed to do! I will use them for all of my electrical needs in the future! I highly recommend them and I will do so to everyone I talk to! I honestly can't say enough for how conscientious and detailed oriented they were! read more

Thanks Daniel for helping Eeden with her electrical issues! Appreciate your quick response and expert assistance!

Called late afternoon with plug problems. Worked me in at 8 following morning. Have old house that has lots of do it yourself nightmares hidden behind walls, hot water heaters, and old flooring so always brace for the worst. As usual the can was opened & out came the worms. The awesome Live Oak crew never skipped a beat. Just got to work doing demo & completed job that wasn't scheduled. Cleaned up & were a pleasure to deal with!! Kudos! read more

Live Oak Electric is great!. I called and spoke with Cliff and he coordinated with my tenant making for an easy transaction for me. The price was even less that he had anticipated! Thank You Live Oak Electric! Professional Great Communication Very Reasonable Timely read more

We renovated a 100 year old home in Atascadero but lost our original electrician midway through the remodel. We hired Live Oak to finish the electrical, replacing old with new throughout the downstairs and outside patio. We were lucky to catch them right before a big job and Ryan, the owner, was able to squeeze us in quickly. Journeyman Dan and apprentice Mike spent almost 3 days quickly and efficiently doing the work, finishing under the estimated cost. Dan even found errors that the first guy made on our panel and corrected them. All these guys were smart, knowledgeable, and friendly, especially Dan who did the lion's share of the work. We finally feel safe in our home and we can't say enough good things about this company and would hire them again in a heartbeat! read more

This was my first time using this company and have to say - I am SUPER pleased. I had to have a whole electrical box replaced and they handled everything from the permit, to the install, to the final inspection. Both Cliff and Ryan are very professional and easy to work with. These guys are awesome! Professional, prompt, and honest. This father and son duo quoted the best price out of multiple companies and have been worth every penny. I had a vision of major upgrades to my home and they made it happen with the least amount of stress and a friendly, can-do attitude. Do yourself a favor and stop your electrician search right here because Cliff and Ryan are the best. read more

We are really happy with the job they did for us. When they came over for the estimate they were professional and courteous. They helped us get exactly what we wanted, not exactly what might have been easiest. They worked hard and fast to complete our project. Would definitely use them again for any electrical needs. read more

As part of our backyard makeover we needed to have three electrical outlets and one switch installed. Normally I get multiple estimates for projects like this but based on previous Yelp reviews for Live Oak and what seemed to be a reasonable proposal I decided to have Ryan do the work. Here is what impressed me about the Live Oak: (1) The night before the work was to be done Ryan called to get information about the circuit breakers so he could bring the right parts. (2) Ryan is hard working and fast. He had to make few trips from the backyard to his truck to get parts. Each time he chose to run rather than ramble. (3) After about an hour or so Ryan's co-worker Cliff arrived to assist. Cliff is actually Ryan's father and they seemed to work exceptionally well together. (4) One of the new electrical lines was going to run from an abandoned electrical panel that had originally been installed for a hot-tub 30 years ago. The wiring in the box however was improperly grounded. Ryan and Cliff found a way to quickly and safely remedy the problem to be in compliance with electrical code. (5) The original proposal was based on estimated time and materials. The actual time was a bit longer (due to the grounding issue) but the materials were a little less. The final bill was just a hair over the original estimate and could be settled on the spot using a credit card. Overall a job very well done and an electrician that I have no reservation recommending to other. read more

Had the opportunity to have Live Oak Electric out to a home I am renting.....the electrician was more than polite and identified the problem immediately....was willing to do what it took to fix it and did not spend time on his cell phone checking with home office....was here and gone in under an hour....great professional service...highly recommend read more

We were very pleased with Live Oak Electric. We needed several things upgraded in our new Condo in south Atascadero. Overhead fans and lights, recessed lights, light switches, brighter closet lights, shower fan switches, etc. The bid for this all day job was reasonable. Ryan responded right away to our need and came out to do a thorough estimate. The agreed upon start time was next and then he and his partner (dad- Cliff) came out to do the work. There were a few small changes/adjustments at our request that they handled without a misstep. Very nice people to work with. We will certainly use them again. Highly recommended. read more

My salon was in a jam with our lights going out! We called several local electrical companies and they never called back or gave us extremely high quotes. Live Oak called me back within 15 minutes and came by within an hour and a half and had us up and running within an hour! They were extremely professional, had awesome prices and did a great job! Just like it's hard to find a great hairdresser, it's equally difficult to find a good electrician and these guys were awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

These guys are great. On time, organized, reliable and very pleasant and professional. They came out to fix work done by a previous electrician - I'm sticking with Live Oak now for sure! read more

Live Oak Electric ROCKS! Ryan and Cliff were the most responsive, reasonably priced electrical contractor out there. I was in need of a quote for running electricity to a new hot tub. Ryan was out the next day to scope the work and responded that night with a very fair quote. They were very flexible with scheduling the job. When performing the work, they took extra steps in making sure the install of the hot tub was not only safe but also looked good. They also installed a new security light for me. I would highly recommend Live Oak Electric! read more

I wanted to leave a review for Cliff and Ryan at live oak electric. We have a colony home in Atascadero that was built in 1925. It has had two additions done over the years but never had many upgrades for electric. Cliff and Ryan came in and put in a new service panel as well as a sub panel for the shop and garage. They also assessed and upgraded many areas of need on the rest of the house. In my opinion they did a high quality job in a timely maner as well as coming in at the low end of the estimate. They are also great people that i really injoyed working with. I would highly recommend them for any of your electrical needs. read more

Live Oak Electric recently replaced our aging electrical panel which was becoming problematic after corrosion had caused arcing and the failure of a 240V 50A breaker. The original recessed panel was installed in 1976 on an outside wall. Live Oak responded quickly to our request for a quote, arrived punctually and explained our options. The existing breaker box was located within 36" of a faucet which in no longer permitted under the CA electrical code, this meant that anything more than a "like for like" replacement would require relocation of the new panel. We did decide to upgrade the supply from 100A to 200A as part of the install. Live Oak did an excellent job of complying with regulations while minimizing the impact to the exterior, which only required minor stucco remediation. This is a family business, everyone was thoughtful and polite, keeping us informed at every step of the process. They clearly understood their business as well as the importance of the customer. The work was completed efficiently and to our satisfaction, it was smooth sailing including the final permit inspection. The cost was very reasonable given the amount of work involved. read more

We hired Cliff and Ryan from Live Oak to trouble shoot an old home with unknown electrical problems and install new line for our water pump. Both Cliff and Ryan were very professional and a pleasure to work with. We were very impressed in their thorough investigating and professional repairs. Their communication throughout the project was excellent. They took photographs of everything they found, and also of the repairs. They also explained each charge in detail, and returned calls quickly. They were surprisingly honest when they showed us how they did the job for less than they had quoted. We will definitely use them again for any future electrical work. read more

Very responsive and professional. They were able to finish the electrical boxes in our master bedroom and living room as well as some more complicated re-wiring in our kitchen. They set up our sound system and wired everything in the wall...no cords showing! Extremely pleased with the results. I will definitely use them again in the future! read more

Prompt response to inquiry. Work done was outstanding and charges were reasonable. I will continue to use them whenever needed.

I was in need of an overhead light replacement. Making an appointment was quick and easy; Ryan came out promptly and got to work. The fixture to remove was not typical, and Ryan was able to remove it without complication and install the replacement fixture fairly quickly. Very thorough; he had light bulbs for the new lighting! and cleaned up afterwards. Very reasonable cost for the expedience and quality of work performed. Thank you :-) read more

Made a call to today to Live Oak and Cliff responded very quickly, and because of getting done early on another job, was able to make it to my house the same day. Cliff is a pro. Solved a couple of problems 3 other electricians could not. That is a pleasure. Could not be happier. The price was reasonable but the service was more than expected. You can feel quite confident in calling this outstanding company. read more

Live Oak Electric has been a life saver for me and my new house. After moving in, I felt that something was not quite right with the electricity and contacted Cliff and Ryan. They inspected the home and found some of the sockets in the garage were not grounded properly, then fixed them in a timely and professional manner. I will be calling Live Oak Electric again when I am ready to child-proof the outlets and remodel some bedrooms and bathrooms. Their communication, promptness, and professionalism are exceptional and a great way to run a business. read more
