I order the fried shrimp poboy and spinach dip. I liked both! K ordered 8 buffalo wings, which he thought was good for the first half bc he was hungry. Either he was full or he didn't like it as much because he said he wasn't crazy about them. The punch was strong but good (can't remember the name) but I had 2 and was feeling RIGHT (I don't usually drink). We came to the Madri Gras night and had a blast! Of course it took forever to get our food and drink, but it was to be expected considering the crowd. We spent $20 for parking in the Red Deck and I didn't think about asking about validation. But I was glad we came to the area around 7pm because the doors opened at 8pm and we were able to get at the beginning of the line & get a table. I even had fun doing Cha Cha slide or one of those dances with a group of people. There was an awesome band and ladies on stilts and some not but dressed festively. Our table had masks and beads. I came here on Sunday June 25 23 with my mother and daughter. We sat at the bar to order a drink. It took a while for the bartender to come over to us and when he did, he seems annoyed. I didn't take it personal, everyone has bad days but what I did take personal was the charge that came out of my bank account. When it was time to pay my bill, the bartender only gave me one copy of the receipt and that was the copy for me to sign. The receipt was not an itemized receipt so I had no clue as to what I was actually charge for. I signed the receipt and included his tip in the amount. Something did not feel right about the bartender not giving me my copy of the receipt so I decided to ask for a copy. The copy that was given to me by the bartender had the bottom portion of the receipt ripped off that would have shown the total amount charged. At this point I should have asked for a manager but I left with out making a complaint. Two days later the transaction posted to my bank account for more than the amount I signed for. This is really disappointing to me and I will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

I am only giving two stars just because the music here is pretty good. Other than that, where do I begin. Ordered chicken quesadillas, very under cooked, couldn't even bite into the chicken or cut it with a knife. We waited over an hour for a party of 10 and we were seated separately when they have tables for 10 readily available for large parties. Service was very mediocre, don't know if the waiters overworked and underpaid, Or just don't want to be here. And management needs to work on overall customer service and professionalism. It's a bar, but it's also a business. Smiling faces, great customer service, and great management is still needed it regardless of the situation. We even had to ask three different waitresses on separate occasions, to cash out our checks and give to go boxes. Hoooooo boy. By far the worst restaurant I've been to at the Battery. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and after about 10 minutes, the server came back and told me they were out of chicken. So, I asked for the Korean BBQ burger: also sold out. My third choice, the Cuban, was also unavailable. At this point I just decided not to order any food, but my family already had. So we waited. The pulled pork nachos came out, and while the bbq was good, the cheese was very cold. Then, 25 minutes after we finished the appetizer, my brother got his pulled pork sliders. 10 minutes after that, my two sisters and my father got what they ordered, the fish tacos and meatballs and pulled pork sandwich. The meatballs were not done all the way through (pink in the middle) so we just sent them back and told them not to worry about it. Absolute disaster! Tuesday night, slow night with few guests. Had a group of 10 and ended up waiting over 2 hours for food. Only 4 in our group received food- which was cold, old and even wrong. Waitress (bless her heart) came to table bringing drinks and apologizing for delay of food after being asked about the wait several times in tears! Finally, the manager came to the table and addressed the issue with only one end of the table. I walked over to join the conversation and she rudely told me one at a time, and turned her back to me! She never came down to address the situation with the rest of the table and my fellow diners shared with me that she had rudely blamed the waitress and said the kitchen and food was perfect! Finally she has waitress bring out our bills and did not comp any of our liquor bill- which was larger than we ever had intended due to our ridiculous long wait. I have had some bad experiences at restaurants before, but never have I had to wait over 2 hours and have half the guests not ever receive their orders! I went to Live's Bacon Jam. I wasn't sure what to expect because this was my first time at the Battery. There were some highs and some lows, which resulted in an average visit. Bacon Jam was an event to celebrate bacon with bacon-inspired food and cocktails and live music. There were 3 ticket levels and I got the highest level which was $35 for 5 food tickets, 3 drink tickets and access to a buffet. For the ticket price, this was a good deal. I went into the event a bit annoyed because the event was outside and the weather had turned cold. While the day was sunny, there was no pretending that it wasn't 44 degrees outside. Check in was super easy. I just showed my ticket at the registration table and received two of those sticky strip bracelets - one was for being over 21 and the other was for the buffet. Because I hadn't eaten before arriving I headed directly for the buffet. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best, the buffet was a 2. There was a fresh salad, long beef sausages w/ buns, mini beef patties w/ buns, BBQ brisket, potato salad and cheese sticks. The sausage and mini-beef patty that I had were so dry that I only had 1 bite of each. The brisket was decent and the potato salad was the star. The potato salad wasn't overly creamy and they'd managed to keep it fairly cool (or I had my serving before it had sat out too long); it was also seasoned really well, not salty or bland. While I had my buffet snacks, I watched the goings on outside in the courtyard. There was a Jenga board and some other games I didn't recognize on a high-top table. There was an adult sized Connect Four game stand, and Cornhole was set up. There were a couple of vendors and the rock music station 100.??? was there. The music was initially a DJ who was really good and then later the band was really good as well. If I went back to Live, I would enjoy the music and not eat or drink. I went to the bar with my three drink tickets, and was surprised when the bartender said that I could get any drink up to a $10 value. I was expecting a list of bacon-drinks to choose from so wasn't ready for this option. I got a basic rum on the rocks with lime. (I should have stuck with this.) Service at the bar was no bueno. I think the guy was on his own most of the time with people stepping in to help but I felt like he was deliberately ignoring us, and I was really annoyed because since I had the drink ticket I gave him a $5 tip for my rum on the rocks. When I later went back to get another drink, I made the mistake of asking for a Cosmo (which I think any bartender can make), and it was awful, so I won't make that mistake again. If there are no craft cocktails on the menu - straight liquor on the rocks will be my go-to. Once we got outside and went to the few booths that were for the bacon-related items, it was a bit of a let down. There were 6 booths in total - 3 each for food and drink. I was able to try 2 of the drinks; 1 was super strong but tasty and the other was super strong and not tasty. I had better luck with the food. One table had bacon wrapped deliciousness that was slightly sweet and crunchy (it had been fried) and bacon wrapped fried mac-n-cheese. I wasn't expecting much from either of these items but they were so good that I spent all but 1 of my drink tickets on them. But they aren't menu items at Live which is ridiculous; they should have that chef churning out those bacon-wrapped delights. My last food ticket I spent on a sugar cookie with a bacon jam glaze baked with it from El Super Pan; it was so good. I don't usually like bacon desserts but this had just a hit of bacon and it was very tasty. Overall, it wasn't an awful event, but it wasn't the Bacon Extravaganza that I was expecting. Came here with my family, forgot my credit card in the bill folder. I called, left a voice mail with on the "lost and found line" 3 days later no one contacted me. I decided come back to the establishment inperson to inquire. I saw the waitress and she assured me she had found my card and it was checked in the lost and found. 1 hour later NO CREDIT CARD. I spoke with the manager CJ and that didn't helped; he showed zero concern and was very nonchalant towards my credit card disappearing. I became frustrated and he asked security to escort me out. I had a one on one with the security and he actually treated me like a human; apologized and took my number down to folow up if he found it. We were having a great time here until the bartenders at the lower bar downstairs. One of the women bartenders was very rude. We where here for a corporate outing and they treated our group very unprofessional because we asked questions about the wine and beer selections and the brunette with lighter brown not dark hair made fun of us in front of us and proceeded to not serve us the rest of the night. I've always had a good time here but that was so rude. I would say that this bar needs to check the attitude of some of the bartenders here as there are good customers here wanting to have fun and don't need the attitude from the bartender. read more

I was here on 10/9. As soon as my friends and I walked in, we were treated poorly. We were told we need to go upstairs, as we were told that one of my friends was pushed in the back and told to move. We went upstairs to the balcony. There was a women that just had a huge problem with our group standing by the table she was sitting at. She threw a drink on us then proceed to the knock the huge wooden table over. Which landed on my friends pinning them down. She ran around the table and for some reason decided that she wanted to start punching me in the face. She punched me about 3-4 times, my nose was gushing blood everywhere. My friend took me to the bathroom where I was told I could not leave to talk to police till I was done bleeding. About 30 minutes later I was finally able to talk to them. I then realized that "security" had escorted outside and let her go. She went right back into the bar. Not only did I not feel safe but felt very disrespected. There were police officers right out side that security could have taken her to. I now possibly have a broken nose. I am not happy with this place and will NEVER be coming back. read more

Terrible experience. I was going to a show at the Roxy next door. Braves out of town, so no crowd. In fact, coming in about 50 min before my show, there were only about four customers in the "Blue Moon Beer Garden" side of the bar. I ordered just a beer and cheeseburger as soon as I sat down. Minutes later, they tell me the keg is empty. Ok it happens. Now more people are starting to come in, probably going to the same show as me. Bartenders take more drink and food orders and I don't think much of it, but it gets to be 30 min since my order and I'm thinking I'll have to eat fast. Bartenders are telling newer customers that cheeseburgers will take 20 minutes. My order is well older than that and I can see the few people there before me all have their food so I have to be next. I then am told someone changed the keg but hooked up an empty and it will be a while longer. I tell her skip it, I don't have time for a pint anymore, just the food please asap. Then the last straw: my cheeseburger and fries finally come out and she gives it to someone who I watched order the same about five minutes after me. 45 minutes in I have no more time to wait, so had to leave hungry. This place has so much potential...it is in such a cool area, and with the right management, I think it could thrive. I have come here a few times to watch the games. I had one particular incident that turned me off this establishment completely. My friends and I asked to be seated on the patio. We were informed that it was closed. Mind you, other patrons were seated out there. While leaving after spending our time and money in this establishment, we noticed more patrons were now on the patio. Very strange after being told it was closed. We were highly upset and offended. I hate to make it a race issue but the patrons outside on the patio were a different race. Came to this place on a Friday night around 10pm with friends. It's not the most diverse place I've visited but maybe that's because of the location. The music was pretty exclusive classic rock. So i decided to leave and asked for the check then i gave them my card and they LOST IT. I usually like coming to this restaurants because of the great wings. Today that was not the same nice experience. After being ignored by a thick-leg waitress, The bill said her name was Taylor. She decided to come to our table after cleaning other tables, carrying ice, waiting and smiling on other white people. Everybody in our table think that she didn't really wanted us there. We were the only brown table. My wings were cold, the celery, and the one stick of carrot looked liked it was picked from the trash can. It probably was. My blue cheese was very runny. This review is for the NYE Live at the Battery. My friend and I purchased tickets online in advance for around $100 for the gold package. That included an open bar, food, and a champagne toast. Food was from 8pm-11pm. We got there at 9pm. There was a line for check in which was SUPER annoying because all of the women were dressed up for NYE and it was raining but they decided to only have 1-2 people working the door. Once inside, they gave us 3 drink tickets each and said we could come back for more. Cool. Upstairs in Sports & Social is where the food was. I saw shrimp & grits which looked cold and gross, sliced turkey which was so processed I couldn't even finish it, pulled pork with no bread. I was so disappointed in that. They had a meat and cheese tray that they never replenished from what I saw. We were able to use all 3 of our drink tickets pretty easily. The 1 thing we couldn't get, our free champagne for the toast. They said they didn't want to give it out at 11:30pm, they were waiting for 11:50....that makes 0 sense when you have hundreds of people waiting for a glass. There was a cool photo booth in the corner which we used. Uber and Lyft would not pull down to pick us up which is kind of annoying when you're tired and ready to go home. Most people were dressed up nicely but some people....no. There should have been a dress code IMO if you're going to charge $100 to get in. The music was great. The only redeeming quality about this place is location (The Battery) and the big TV screens, perfect for watching games. Other than that, this place is mediocre. This restaurant is ALWAYS understaffed. The kitchen is ALWAYS backed up. I've been multiple times, and my average wait time is usually an hour after placing an order. The waitresses are very nice, but are waiting on too many tables. They don't have time to do little stuff like refill your water glass, or check and see if you need anything. If you're going for the sole purpose of grabbing a drink and watching the game, it's solid. But I don't recommend it if you're looking for a good meal and service while watching the game. read more

I drove 30 minutes to the place to take my family, that drove out of town, to explore the Battery and have a good time and they did. I would drive here every weekend to watch football.
