Used to serve anything that's both American and Italian, until Vanessa had made it into a family run small business restaurant which was absolutely welcoming for both locals and tourists alike since 2004. It's the only reason I come to 7 Mile House during Asian History Month that aims for Filipino fun. My specialty drink: Ube Colada (non-alcoholic). I want to try the Lambanóg, but it's few years late and I wouldn't mind since I prefer any drink that's zero proof. This creamy purple smoothie is so refreshing, I wouldn't mind getting a brain freeze. Main course? Actually, I take something out of the lunch menu, which is Beyond Burger; pickles at the top, lettuce, tomato, and cheese; old school American style with a plant based patty! I eat the fries first since they're fresh and chewy. Wish I stick around for an appetizer or a salad; but given that there's several people dining indoors while few of us outdoors, I'll have to pass. Before I walk a couple of blocks toward 7 Mile House, I noticed the gas prices for both gas stations are just as high as near my neighborhood. I'll be wondering how long will a famous family run restaurant can go an extra mile before it runs out of steam. My best bet is that we must support each other as local communities, just like how the 7 Mile House of today had kept us together for generations.

It has that authentic sports bar vibe without trying too hard. TVs going, people locked into games, and just an overall relaxed energy. It feels like a place you can come to regularly, not just once. It didn't feel like a tourist spot at all, more like somewhere locals actually hang out. Food-wise, it's solid bar food done right. Wings, burgers, and the kind of stuff you actually want when you're watching a game or just kicking back. Nothing fancy, but it hits and fits the environment. The drinks were on point too. Good beer selection, solid cocktails, and plenty of options if you're just trying to chill for a while. The setup with TVs and bar games makes it easy to stay longer than you planned. The staff and the crowd both added to the experience. It felt welcoming, people were comfortable, and you don't get that awkward feeling walking into a new place. Only thing to keep in mind is it's very laid back and first come first served. Depending on when you go, you might have to wait or stand around a bit. Overall, if you're looking for a real sports bar with good food, drinks, and a local feel, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

We went here to have dinner while waiting to pick up a family member from San Francisco Airport…read more This place is about 10 minutes away which made it an easy drive. The restaurant has a full bar and dining area. The place has the feel of a family Italian restaurant. It is quaint and comfortable. We both ordered the calamari steak which came with both soup and salad included. The soup was a minestrone - 9/10 - which was delicious, hearty, and felt like it was simmering all day. I think I could've easily just eaten the soup and salad and would have been very happy. The house salad - 8/10 - had a wonderful homemade Italian dressing. This was the best house salad I have ever had. Calamari steak - 7/10 - this was cooked very nicely and was piled high with garlic. The garlic wasn't overpowering at all and mixed well with the tartar sauce. The mash potatoes - 8.5/10 - were amazing and creamy. The menu had a wide variety of dishes. Given how good everything we had was, I would guess everything on the menu is likely just as good. Last but not least our server Audrey was great. She was attentive, pleasant, always there when we needed something, but never there too much. Audrey made the whole experience just that much better. I would highly recommend.

Do not stay here!…read more Parking is a nightmare!!! I paid through the app by scanning the QR code displayed all throughout the property and I was overcharged TWICE. I contacted the hotel and I was told that they would look into it. Two days later and I still have not received a response or a refund. It costs $44/day to park--way too expensive for something that should come with the hotel cost. I contacted the hotel again today, 03/25 and I was informed that I would have to contact the parking company directly because they operate independently. The front desk clerk who answered my call, by the way, struggled to find the parking company's contact information and seemed clueless. I ended up calling the parking company and they told me something different. The person on the line informed me that although they are a separate company, the hotel would still have to submit a request to have my money refunded. It's more trouble than it's worth at this point. The hotel itself is below par. The furnitures are dated and our TV was broken. The towels are also very coarse and our conditioner was not filled when we got there. We paid $25 each for the breakfast (buffet) which was super basic. Yes, breakfast is not complimentary. It's wiser to save your money and go to the cafes and restaurants nearby--an option we didn't consider for our Dad as he is diabetic and requires food ASAP. They boast their "famous" chocolate chip cookies but they're simply not good enough to make us stay here again. The gentleman manning the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful--he deserves a raise! He's one of the very few good things that made our stay somewhat better.

A musician's dream!…read more Per the recommendation of our wedding planner, we worked with Hella Fitzgerald for our wedding in Big Sur, CA in August 2023. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I am a musician myself and had a lot of specifications for what I wanted throughout our ceremony, first dance, and dancing portions of the evening. And I mean a LOT of specifications! Music is something I am very particular about. Lilan worked closely with me on everything from which 2nd singer to hire to match the feel we wanted (the band works with various singers) to learning new songs that we had requested to adjusting songs to specific BPMs!!! She never seemed to lose her patience with me and would text me randomly with ideas or singer leads. One time she even texted me a couple vocal riffs she sang into her phone to see what I would prefer. We wanted a fun, sexy, big band feel and a talented group of musicians who could perform soul, Latin, swing, R&B, and everything in between. That is exactly what we got. We never left the dance floor. Thank you HF!
