Love Little Wing. This is one of the best of not the best shop. Staff are kind and helpful with personality. Shop can be very busy. It's normal to wait 20mins for a table. I would try to book. The food is always on point. My fave pizza is either the pesto chicken or the one with pancetta and egg. read more

Little Wing is a new phenomenon in Belfast, having recently opened in Ann Street, Lisburn Road and Ballyhackamore. I can't vouch for the other two pizzerias, but this one is pretty darn good! Ballyhackamore is an up-and-coming part of East Belfast, with the recent opening of Horatio Todds, as well as consisting of more established restaurants such as Mandarin City, Little Fat Buddha and The Point. For me, Little Wing is long overdue in Ballyhackamore, purely because the village has been lacking a decent pizzeria. This one is not only a restaurant, but a takeaway too! Order a slice from the window, and it comes in a cute triangular box. I'd buy it just for the box... If you would like more than just a slice, they will happily serve you a whole pizza too. With a huge variety of pizzas, as well as a couple of pasta dishes, you really are spoilt for choice. On the two occasions I've visited, the Pollo and Funghi has been extremely good choices (it's making me hungry just thinking about these scumptious pizzas), but you can't really go wrong. Decent sized tasty pizza + cooked in a tradtional fire stone oven = devoured in seconds. Honestly, I think I swallowed mine, on both occasions. Yum, yum, yum. Dessert is offered too, and despite being smaller than I'd hoped, the chocolate pot was just gorgeous. The Nutella pizza sounds absolutely heavenly, and sure, there's always next time! The staff are gloriously friendly and helpful too. I paid a visit on a Wednesday night about a month ago, and Wednesday lunch time last week, and although the place was crazy busy both times, the waitresses did a brilliant job. I had heard a lot of talk about the new Little Wing Pizzerias which have opened in Northern Ireland, and as I am such a big fan of pizza and Italian food in general, I decided to give it a go. We decided to go to the one in Ballyhackamore and were able to find it easily despite not knowing that particular area very well. Getting parked was a bit of a challenge, but we were able to get a space not too far down the road. Upon entering, there appeared to be a bit of a queue, we were invited to sit down at the bar and wait, which is just to the left when you walk inside, so we did. It took no longer than around 5 minutes for us to get a table, which wasn't bad considering it was a Saturday night. I can't remember the specific name of the pizza I got, but it was spicy salami with chilli oil, and oh my goodness, it was so delicious. They also do take out too. I'm gutted there isn't one of these in my town. Actually maybe it's a good thing, because if there was, I would probably be about 20 stone now from eating so many! read more

The pizzas here are great and at a good price. The decor is lovely. All the ingrediants are locally and fairly sourced. Service is good, but we did have to grab our own spoons for dessert- and for dessert a NUTELLA PIZZA- oh yeah baby! Would recommend sharing one between two or three as I definitely couldn't have managed a whole one after the delicious pizza I had. Went in a group of 9, booked that afternoon, on a Saturday night. Went here to eat with my family on a sunday evening, we were told to wait for 30 minutes for a table but waited closer to an hour. The staff could have been a bit more attentive and reassured us that they were working on finding us a table. The wifi did not work. That aside the large 24 inch pizza was amazing and the chilli garlic pizza breads are great as well, very spicy. Will definitely be back. read more

This branch of Little Wing has been open for a couple of months now and while I am a fan, I do have one axe to grind. But more of that later. When were there at the weekend, service was just the right speed and very friendly, with all requests met with a chipper 'no worries'. The interior was quirky, but not in an overdone way, just simple wooden tables, lots of olive oil and Italian ingredients sitting about. So far so good. We ordered bruschetta to start and a pizza each for main. The bruschetta was good - lots of lovely fresh sweet tomatoes, a good dollop of pesto and plenty of garlic. Then came the pizzas and this is where I would like to grind my axe just a little bit. My pollo pizza looked and tasted fab, as did the husband's. Lovely shredded chicken, roasted red peppers and the same pesto as the starter. So what's the problem? While the pizza tasted great, the toppings could best be described as minimalist, which is actually very clever as they are producing good pizza while keeping costs right down. What got up my nose even more was the fact that the extra red onion on the husband's pizza cost £1.15 for the teeenest tiniest amount. Ouch. My conclusion? - don't expect a pizza dripping in cheese and toppings and you'll do OK. We had 1 starter, 2 pizzas, a glass of wine and 2 soft drinks for £26 so it won't break the bank. read more

Went with my wife and 18mth old daughter and could hardly have been more impressed. Loved the simple, modern, natural timber decor and the understated ambiance created by the soul and jazz tunes playing through the sound system The menu offered enough variety to give even the most regular of pizza eaters something new to consider without going too far into the realms of obscure combinations (except in one joyous instance). It should be noted though that Little Wing falls into the category of pizzeria that aims to stay true to traditional Italian combinations so there is a pepperoni and rocket pizza but no ham and pineapple. Pizzas are dinner plate sized, thin based and packed with flavour. the side salad simply dressed and a perfect accompaniment. The dessert selection is enhanced by the inclusion of little 'taster' sized options - enough to give a sweet hit without pushing filled tummies over the edge. If you want something more try the Nutella Pizza - it's worth it. For our daughter there was a wonderful little 3 course menu of dough sticks with garlic butter, small pizza then a traditional Italian ice cream cone and an espresso sized hot chocolate with little marshmallows on the side. She felt she was in heaven. The staff were friendly and attentive and added to a thoroughly enjoyable experience. P.S. I've been back to Little Wing since I wrote all of the above - everything I wrote has been positively reinforced in subsequent visits. read more

Had the pizza lunch meal , got a pepperoni pizza with side salad, pizza was very thin and pepperoni was spicy , but bit too spicy for my liking for a pepperoni pizza, but it was a nice tasting pizza, the salad was nice on the side, crunchy, fresh, the place was nice to sit in, staff could have been a bit more friendly but other than that was good and would probably go back again. read more

We called into little wings about 10 minutes before closing time, we drove around and saw the lights still on, so we called in hoping to get served, the manager who was preparing to close was gracious to prepare us a pizza with garlic bread, the service was awesome and pizza has to be the best this side of Belfast, fantastic would recommend this place for a great night out 5 stars all the way read more

Had loads of littlewing pizzas... If there's more than 2 of you it's worth going for the 24 inch pizza. It's huge and I think they start at only 16 quid or so which isn't bad because it can feed 3/4 people. They don't deliver but you can pre order for collection! Went to St Anne's street location in belfast. The pizza was excellent...and cannot beat the 4.95 lunch offer of 6" pizza and side salad. The service was OK. We were told to sit at a table that had not been cleaned and when she did clean it just wiped it on the floor. The floor was dirty with pizza on it. We ended up having to get up from our table to find the waitress to place our order. Since we were there at lunch I would have expected quicker service. So, food was excellent but need to work on service and cleanliness. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE - especially the lisburn road branch! rude staff, appalling service, disgraceful treatment of customers - i will never be back!!!!!!To whom it may concern ( & if it were my restaurant, I would be really concerned) Today is my eldest son's 7th birthday (Tues 28th) and as we held a party for him last Saturday, we decided to treat him to a family meal out at your restaurant on the Lisburn Road. What a mistake! This was our first time eating in Little Wing and we had heard great reports about it. Initially we were impressed by the interior and decor. The menu was also very appealing, especially the meal deal offer & kids menu. Our meals were delicious and we were really happy with the quality of the food but our waitress was not very pleasant from the off set. Nothing too offensive to begin with but she just had a bit of 'an attitude' - no smile to greet us and generally unfriendly and not very welcoming. We were served relatively quickly and as my husband had another event to attend we were keen to finish our meal and pay the bill as efficiently as possible. We waited for 15 minutes trying to gain the attention of waiting staff, whilst a huge queue gathered at the doorway, waiting to be seated. I then approached one of the waitresses and asked for our bill and also the ice cream for the children. This waitress was extremely dismissive and told me to give her two minutes and she would be with me shortly. Main while tables were becoming free and uncleared and perspective customers outside were leaving to go elsewhere whilst my family & I wanted to leave and free up a booth. We eventually got our bill brought to the table. We waited a further 15 minutes on till I decided to bring the bill to the cash register where the waitress I had already spoken to was punching in information. I asked her if I could pay the bill please and she was down right rude and told me that I had to wait and would be with me in two minutes (it appeared that her task was more important than the huge number of dissatisfied customers) I politely explained that I was in a hurry and was late for another engagement and she completely ignored me. I was disgusted by this rude attitude and returned to my table where I left the payment, minus the tip we were going to leave. I then had to locate another waitress to ask for my children's ice cream for the third time! I was offered 3 flavours and ordered 2 vanillas - when she returned we were given chocolate ice cream instead. We left taking our ice cream with us and a very unpleasant experience of Little Wing. I was aware that the restaurant was quite busy and that there seemed to be only two waiting staff but the chefs were very efficient and at times could have assisted their colleagues by clearing tables etc. It would also have been better customer service if the waiting staff had have apologised to the customers instead of being rude! I am so disappointed and will not be returning to Little Wing again! I have also told all of my family and friends about this shambles and know that they will not be going to Little Wing either. p.s I am a teacher and if a pupil asks me for help I assist them immediately - if a customer in your resaurant askes for help they should be assisted immediately. I also worked in retail for 10 years and if a customer asked for help I assisted them immediately, regardless of any other task that I may have been busy with - your staff must take note. Appalling manners, shamelessly rude. Here are some of the comments that my friends on 'facebook' have left, with regards to Little Wing on the Lisburn Road: 'Yeah they're a joke in there. We were in a few Sunday's ago and they completely ignored us, wouldn't mind if it was busy but we were the only ones there! We'll never go back!' 'i hate rude staff. i am paying for food, this pays their wage and all they have to do is take an order and serve me food. i do it every day at home and it is no big deal.
