It was huge and came with 2 slicers to cut it anyway we like. They can get busy and our order got stuck right behind a large togo order, so the manager gave us a few orders of dough balls on the house while we waited. Those dough balls were delicious, brushed with garlic butter. We waited for a while for the pie and the 6 of us devoured it in short order. Good stuff! No draft beers, but bottles/cans, wine, and they have spirits to mix.

The place doesn't look that big from the outside, but when you get in there, the place seems massive and it's very busy. I also ordered a glass of wine and a Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert, these were also pretty AMAZING. I would highly recommend trying out the food here

I rarely have any sauce as I'm happy without it and they nearly always put on far too much of it even if I ask for just a very small amount. It's easier just to do without sauce than to try to educate them to the fact that the quantities that they apply give rise to a lot of dribbling mess. As Fat Gherkin is just a few doors up the hill from the Pie Shop and just across the street from my other destination (McCartney's), it was on my route anyway and I decided to look at the menu at the entrance. The menu satisfied me that it was of sufficient interest to proceed inside. I had a lovely whipped feta and filo salad. I've been back since then and had mushrooms on toasted sourdough, which was possibly even nicer. I also had nicer seating on the second visit. It was earlier in the lunch period and therefore busier but this meant that I was shown to the upstairs seating.
