Not only do they do your average fish and chip shop faves, they also have a wide range of subs, toasties, smoothies, freshly ground coffees and sweet and savoury specials. Oh my. Took me a wee while to get my head around all that, so I opted for a curry chip. Curry was lovely and mild (Lynne and hot food do *not* mix well at all), and the chips tasted great. My dad, who was with me that day, ordered a burger. Ah, but this wasn't any old burger! When he ordered, the order appeared on a screen at the till. He could see what options there were eg. salad, no salad, sauce, no sauce, onions (raw or cooked) etc etc., and thus could choose his perfect burger. Rather novel I thought. I ordered chips and curry sauce and my friend ordered chips and sausages and a round of bread and butter. We both ordered tea. The drinks came first and it was a nice strong hot pot of tea but it had a dribbly spout - tea all over the table so the guy had to come and mop it up. The food came fast and it was a massive portion - way too much really - we left a good bit. The chips are lovely fresh cut and greasy and the sausages and curry was done perfectly, thick and tasty. My friend got the bill for us as a treat and she went up to the counter expecting London prices but was well surprised when she had change from a tenner! The place is always busy which I think is a great sign in itself!

The menu is traditional and plain which is Ok by me as you don't go to Cafollas for fine dining but for old fashioned comfort food and the prices are good too. Think fish and chips, sausage egg and chips and loads of salt and vinegar for under a fiver and you're there. The staff are always helpful, friendly and efficent. They always work with a smile on their face and are polite and get you your chips nice and quick. The price is also pretty good, you are able to get a really good feed for a fiver, which is great for chips in Bangor, especially when they are this good. You will get a fish supper for about £6 which is pretty standard for Bangor and the quality is high, but certainly not award winning in my opinion. It is situated in a wee retail complex which is kind of on the outskirts of town and a little bit out of the way for me and the quality isn't so world class so as to make me want to go the extra mile to get their chips. There is no ATM near by and the car park can get a little bit full up, which is a bit annoying.

Pretty good chip shop. Chips are excellent and there's a great variety on offer, new menu items get added pretty regularly too which is always nice to see. The place is very clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Having the other shops nearby (currently there is a convenience store, off license, pharmacy, as well as a Chinese restaurant just in case you fancy being particularly greedy) means you can go for a wee dander and have a look about before your order, just in case you need to pick up a few extra bits and pieces. Overall, great value for money, and a pretty decent chippy to boot.
