I had a very mixed experience here. Bear in mind it was a cold, wintry, windy day, and that's partly why...
You see Little Creatures (oops, beer slip)... i mean Little Treasures ...looks out onto a park, and in summer they can open up the glass doors and it has a lovely aspect out onto a little suburban park. Idyllic. But in winter, it is generally advisable to keep the doors closed, don't you think? But not Little Treasures. They keep the doors open in some sections, apparently because "it fills up with smoke if we don't". Get a decent extractor fan folks! We were sitting right up next to the open doors and it was f**king freezing. They found some blankets for us, but it really didn't help. So unpleasant. The place was crowded so there weren't any other options for places to sit. Another couple was sitting near us, and they asked me if I could close the doors. I was put in the weird situation of having to say "we're not allowed to..." and the couple just looked at me like I was crazy. Those waiters must get sick of saying it too.
Having had my little rant, I can say this. The food was smashing. Really fab. Fresh, hot, flavoursome, and plenty of variety in the menu. I will definitely be back, but probably on a warmer day. read more
