A Wonderful Experience at The Learning Experience - Union, NJ…read moreMy daughter has been attending The Learning Experience in Union, NJ, since she was just six months old, and now, at 4 1/2 years old, she is getting ready to move on. This has truly been more than just a school for her--it has been like a second home. The administration is incredibly supportive and always available to help, making the entire experience smooth and reassuring for parents. The teachers are absolutely amazing--caring, patient, and dedicated. My daughter adores them and speaks about them with so much love and excitement. She has grown tremendously, both academically and socially, during her time here. She has made wonderful friends and developed essential social skills that will benefit her for years to come. One of the things I love most about The Learning Experience is the amazing curriculum. She has learned so much--phonics, numbers, community events, philanthropy, and even manners. They incorporate so many fun and engaging activities, such as book fairs, pajama days, pizza parties, dress-up days, and spirit weeks, making learning exciting and enjoyable. On top of all that, as a parent of a child with multiple allergies, I truly appreciate how well they have cared for her. They have always been diligent in ensuring she avoids any allergens, giving me peace of mind that she is in safe hands every day. What sets this center apart is the genuine care and love they show for each child. They don't just teach--they nurture, support, and encourage. I truly appreciate everything they have done for my daughter, and we will always be grateful for the amazing start they have given her. If you're looking for a place where your child will be safe, loved, and given the best early education experience, The Learning Experience - Union is the perfect choice. Thank you to the entire staff for making these years so special!

As a first time parent, I was very nervous sending my daughter to daycare, but the teachers were wonderful with her and so patient and reassuring with me. The directors and staff are also very accommodating of the needs of the parents and are more than willing to work with you if you need help. My daughter has not only been well cared for, but she has also learned so much. The teachers are so caring, compassionate and creative. Weekly lesson plans are sent out so you know the theme of the week and all the activities they will be doing, which range from reading, music, science, sensory bins, practicing fine/gross motor skills, playing pretend, nature walks etc. The activities are just so creative and engaging for the kids. For example, today my daughter made a fire truck cookie using graham crackers, icing and Oreos. They also have someone come in and do a music class with the kids twice a month and yoga twice a month. There are also other additional optional programs offered such as dance, sports, and art. The enrichment activities are amazing, such as having visits from fire fighters, police officers, dentists, Santa as well as the teddy bear clinic, pony rides and at Halloween, a trunk or treat. They even offer a free evening event for families at Christmas time all Polar Express themed, with various activities and pictures with Santa. Summer camp is also incredible with weekly splash days on the playground, princess balls, dinosaur shows, bubble shows, petting zoo and field trips for the older kids. My daughter has picked up so much so quickly, all because of the varied experiences/activities they have provided for her. Choosing Crawlers to Scholars has been the best decision my husband and I could have made. We truly feel like we hit the lottery with this daycare.

They are patient, attentive, nurturing, and genuinely loving toward the children. Seeing how comfortable and happy my baby is with the staff gives me so much peace of mind. I appreciate all the little things they do throughout the day--from keeping me updated to making sure my baby is cared for, engaged, and loved. It really takes a special group of people to care for someone else's child, especially a baby, and I am so grateful for the entire Childtime team. Thank you to the director, admin, teachers, and every staff member who works so hard each day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed! I would absolutely recommend Childtime to any parent looking for a daycare where their child will be cared for, supported, and treated like family. Thank you, Childtime, for everything you do! The staff of KinderCare took care of my son for a month and a half and they were amazing. I wish I…read morecould afford to put him there full time but I can't My mother was away on vacation during this time period so I had to place him into daycare. I made the best decision coming here not because it's kindercare but because they're amazing people. I was sure my son wouldn't like Director Miguel because he doesn't like men but surely enough my son loved him and everyone. It breaks our hearts that I had to pull him. But grandmas back now so he doesn't need to go to daycare. I stink at remembering names but his teachers were very informative kind and just down right amazing. They updated me throughout the day with photos and diaper notifications. I'm new to the mom world so I was constantly asking them silly questions in the beginning and after a couple of days they made me feel comfortable that my son was in their care. Sure kindercare is a large company but I didn't care about that. I care about whether my son will be in good hands or not and after many interviews with different daycare it was obvious to not go with this location. If you can afford it I would definitely recommend enrolling your child here. They have several different classes for children with many teachers there to care for your child. I've met questionable teachers in the past and NO ONE here made me feel that way. Being a new mom I learned quite a bit from the short period of time I've been here. Kinder care staff, if you happen to read this, THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF JAMESON. I am definitely coming back here whenever my mom goes back on vacation Please note that you are not allowed to post photos of your child with other children (I'm fine with this) so enjoy a few of my son having fun in their care.

The director of the daycare, Miguel Garcia, is beyond unprofessional. Besides that, the center…read moreposes massive safety concerns for the kids. The teachers are great, though. I have nothing bad to say about them. The issues began from the start when I asked Miguel to send me instructions on what to bring and prepare to start daycare. I'm a FTM and I had some questions. After multiple emails and phone calls, Miguel finally sent me a list, which left me scrambling to buy extra things at the last minute. I was concerned about poor communication, but I let it go, hoping it won't be a problem. Then, the bigger issue emerged - children's safety in the daycare. When I was creating an account, I had to create passwords for each person who may pick up our child. I thought that there would be a unique code for each to enter the facility. For the first three days, I just walked in with other parents, which is a concern itself. Anyone can get in the building with no issues. On day four, there was no one to follow, so I tried the password I selected while registering, but it didn't work. I had to call, Ms Jess opened and gave me the code. This code is used by EVERYONE! It means that any person can learn it easily and access the facility, which is a massive security concern. But bear with me; there is more. On Thursday of the second week of daycare, I noticed my daughter had fluid buildup in the crown of her head. I took her to the ER immediately and notified the daycare. In the ER, everyone has been repetitively asking me if she hit her head. I knew she did not hit her head when she was with me (my husband was traveling at that time), but I didn't know anything else. My husband called the daycare, which is a normal thing to do. Miguel instantly said, "Nothing happened." My husband asked to check with teachers just to make sure. Miguel did and confirmed that nothing happened. We relayed this information to the ER team. The CT scan was performed, and no structural damage was found. The ER doctor said that there was no damage, and he didn't know what it was, but there was nothing to be concerned about. The pediatrician whom I took my daughter to right after ED suspected that it could be a rare case of delayed fluid collection after a traumatic birth, which was the case. Miguel called in the evening, and I told him that there was no injury, but the doctors were not sure what it was. I said that our daughter is doing well. Then at 10:30 pm Child Protective Services showed up. To make a long story short, Miguel called and reported child abuse, even knowing that there was no trauma. CPS was surprised because a hospital was obligated to report instances like this, but they never did because there was no trauma. I'm not going to tell you how humiliating and stressful it is. I'm glad our daughter is too little to understand what's going on. Luckily, everyone from CPS we've been dealing with has been extremely pleasant. Miguel not only lied to them when he stated that my husband called angry, accusing a daycare, but he also said that he doesn't have our phone numbers. How don't you have the phone numbers of the parents of a child under your care? My husband has been understanding, saying that Miguel had to cover himself in case something happened to our child. He asked Miguel why he didn't give us at least a heads-up so we knew what to expect. Two days after that, Miguel sent us a message through the app stating that he had to do it. Otherwise, his teacher and he could be fired, and the center could be closed. I leave this information here for everyone to come to their own conclusions. Additional concerns. On the first day at the daycare, Infant rooms A and B were merged after 2:30 p.m. when the Room A teachers left after their shift was over. I found out about this practice after the fact when I came to pick up my daughter. She was in the room with a lot of children and only a few teachers. She cried a lot and looked terrible. The center should disclose this practice in advance. Additionally, I'm concerned that the ratio was not as required. Infants sleep in the same room they play in, which means that the noise and lights are on. My child had a difficult time sleeping in this environment, which the teachers pointed out to me. I saw a child sleeping on the floor a few times during our short time in the daycare. Another thing I didn't realize is that infants don't go outside ever until they're over 12 months. It is not healthy for a child to stay indoors all day long.

Picking and choosing their enrolled children? Or are they racist?…read more Advance warning - long post I am (or use to be) a huge Goddard School fan. My first born went to two Goddard Schools, in #NorthBrunswickGoddardSchool and #BranchburgGoddardSchool. As I was expecting my second born, I obviously turned to one as well which is near my work. Also a current co-worker has one of there children currently enrolled and soon to be expecting her second one soon. So with no question asked, my husband and I (with another co-woker) went to take a tour of this facility. We were looking for January/February (2018) enrollment but was told there was a waiting list and the next availability would be in March 2018. I asked if there is anything we could do to ensure our spot for March, and was told by the owner Laura that taking a tour would put our name on the wait list automatically, nothing else needed. I went above and beyond with my work to get a delay start of March so my New Born could go to the Goddard school as preferred. I recently called at the end of November to ensure my son's guaranteed spot for March was still available. First, I spoke with the director, who was very standoffish on the phone. She informed me there wasn't any spots available until April 2018 now. I was SHOCKED! I had asked for the director, Laura who at that time was not available. Few days later, I had called back to speak with her and left her a msg. She left me a voice mail, stating "my director had informed you about everything already, if you are still unsure give me a call back." She's lucky that I did not hear that voicemail until I had called her back already, otherwise she would have gotten a piece of my mind. When I called back, Laura informs me that the next availability is early Spring, once I asked what that means she says Early May!!! I was very disappointed. Still keeping my composure, I had asked how is that possible and when was anyone going to inform me about this change..? I had sacrificed my maternity leave to ensure my son had a spot in March. She stated during the time of the tour that they would contact us when a spot was available a deposit was not needed because the tour was sufficient. The story changed when I inquired further. She explained that we do not call to let you know, if you want to ensure your spot, you need to put in a deposit." I was stunned! I told her that this is new and this information was not told. I continued on by saying that I had specifically asked her about a deposit and had brought my checkbook as well to make one. Her response was, "I apologize if you did not understand me, but this is how we have been doing it for past 23 years, this is nothing new." (talk about customer service people!) Biting my tongue and keeping my chin in mind, I had asked her if she could email me the enrollment paperwork since I wanted to have a guaranteed spot for next availability, I would try to drop it off or drop it in the mail with check etc. Now, 24 hours later, the next day, I have NOTHING! Not a single paperwork in my email inbox. Later that day, I had confirmed with both my husband and my co-woker who went with us to confirm if I was having a Pregnancy Brain and totally misunderstand her during the tour of having a spot available in March and tour is sufficient enough OR she did NOT mention any deposit? Both confirmed my understanding. So clearly Laura, you had provided me with wrong info and two other people confirms it. To make this even more interesting, my co-worker whom I recommended this place to, took a tour, and during the tour, she was asked to make a deposit. Now, her New Born has a guaranteed spot for March. As you can imagine, this is why I feel we are being ignored and purposely not provided a spot, interestingly enough, both of my co-workers are White. During the tour, I had noticed very little to hardly any minorities in the entire school. In the current New Born Classroom, there were zero minorities! And they are clearly going above and beyond to not only be very unprofessional, and providing me with wrong information to me just to ensure that my mixed African -American/ Asian child would not get into this facility. SHAME ON YOU #GODDARDSCHOOLPISCATAWAY. SHAME ON YOU #Goddardschool!
