My daughter and I provided some ideas of what we were looking for, and the wonderful sales lady pointed out several dresses to consider. In the end, my daughter was set on one of the first dresses she saw. We purchased everything - the dress, petticoat, shoes, and headband. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. Daughter's face says it all. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were great dresses at all price points, including some extremely affordable and gorgeous dresses on sale in the back of the shop. In response to some negative reviews - Some of these dresses are very elaborate and delicate. I was clear with my daughter to handle with care and only pick up dresses she was really interested in trying on. Being respectful of the merchandise was the least we could do. All around a great experience and I'm sure we will be back.

My son needed at jacket, and we found a great Quicksilver hoodie right away. It was nice to find something he'd actually wear after our trip to The Del. There was were also cute clothes and accessories for girls here too. Backpacks, hats, jewelry, and a small selection of toys are here too. The customer service was wonderful here as well. The salesperson helped my son find the right sized jacket right away. She was also so knowledgeable about the hotel. When we told her that we were visiting the Hotel del Coronado for their stunning Christmas tree, she so helpfully told us about the tree's history and some fun information about the hotel's annual Christmas ornament. I went on a Monday afternoon and it was completely dead in the store. One person was leaving as I walked in, but that was it. There was one staff member working who greeted me and asked if I needed anything. I asked if they had a display of baby jeans beside what I was seeing but they didn't. I was super disappointed. They only had a few pairs of jeans in little sizes, but they weren't the size I needed. She offered to order online for me but I figured I would do it myself so I could look for other items. I looked through the store to find some church clothes and I found a couple of cute outfits, including one I had picked out online but when I saw the price, and the sale, I was surprised to see the outfit was going to be cheaper if I bought it online. Since it would be cheaper online, I opted not to purchase anything in the store and just purchased when I got home. The store was clean, put together well, and it was easy to find all the different sections and clothing sizes, I am just disappointed they didn't have a variety and with the prices. Now I know, and I can just continue to shop online. Oh yeah, and I went in with my guy in a stroller and I couldn't make it through a few of the displays... at a baby store where a stroller should be common. He was so perfect, jolly and beautiful. My kids absolutely adored him. I don't know if the children's place advertised it enough, because the place was empty. My kids had Santa all to themselves for almost an hour! My 10 year old daughter has been getting teased at school because she still believes in Santa Claus. It almost got her to stop believing. Seeing Santa and spending some personal time with him boosted her Christmas spirit by a million points. This actually means a lot to our family. So thank you children's place.

No jackets, no sweaters, just a bunch of summer dresses next to a Santa. Why? What's even worse is the false price advertisement. So each stand has a "discount" but most of the items on that stand are not included in the deal, so customers really need to be careful before purchasing an item. I asked one of the 2 ladies working there (the nice one) to clarify the buy one get one free since there were t-shirt and pants on the same shelf. She said it applied to the t-shirt advertised for $11 and not for the pants advertised at $12. When I went to pay I discovered that I would pay $22 for the 2 t-shirt (full price for one and 1 free), not $11 and 1 free as stated on the shelf. The other lady kept checking me out, and when I got back asking for clarification the lady treated me like an idiot. I made it clear that the fault is on their side and I requested a refund for the 2 t-shirt (quality is not worth that kind of price). I should have asked for a full refund and go online...I was so mad but I wanted to get out of the store as fast as possible. Also if you go there and they don't have the size you're looking for they are only going to suggest to go to the El Cajon store (happened to me and to another lady in front of me at checkout). They don't even try to help customers by ordering online and having that delivered in store...no they send you to another one. I'll keep saying buy online and also target has better kids quality and at least prices are advertised correctly!
