My fiancé and I came to paint our wedding cake plate on a Sunday morning. The space is mostly catered to kids, but we saw people of all ages crafting and chatting. On a warmer day, we probably would have sat outside as it can get really crowded inside. We were never bumped, but sometimes kids would run by on their way to get paint. My only other complaint (which is more so my fault) was that we sat at stools at a shorter table so I was hunched over for a while. I'm just old. The staff was really friendly, and I like that there's a BYOB policy. I would probably suggest going later in the evening to avoid all the birthday parties as it was pretty quiet when we came to pick up our piece near closing.

They consistently had great materials, beautiful sheets of paper, and amazing staff. Friendly service, clean and well organized store, and a real community staple. It was always nice to see consistent faces and I was treated with excellent service with every visit. I loved the manager and hope the company was able to retain her. There were a few other couples in our session, but it still felt intimate and personal. For $150, we were able to make three creations of anything we wanted during the 1 hour and 30 minute class. We had so much fun the entire time. The studio itself is super cute and clean, which made the experience even better. Pinch is such a perfect way to introduce yourself, your partner, or your friends to pottery. If you're new, they teach you the basics and guide you through everything if you need help. They also have a ton of different glaze colors to choose from, which I loved. Definitely will be coming back again!

They were very good with teaching our group the ways to produce beautiful pottery. The class is $90/person and that includes the instructional 45mins class plus 1 pottery item. If you want to add more items, it's $10/additional item. With the time I had left I opted to do 1 additional item. This allowed me to form and create another small bowl to complete a set of 2. I plan to use them for individual rice and meat dishes at work lunch. Wonderful party, we were allowed to bring light Hor d'oevres and juices and water for the group. Nice time and I highly recommend.

Anyway, Bryn went above and beyond to help me find a store that had extra maroon ribbons so I could make a graduation lei for my niece this week. She found some at the Mission Valley store. They're a total mess, they…read moreglitch, you can't change the quantity that the bar code reader is super sensitive and scans the same item twice, then makes you wait for a store employee that never comes. The check out line is not very defined either so some people skip the line. I don't know if this store doesn't get enough stock and I know it's newer but a lot of times it falls short on items we look for. I was super excited to get a Michael's nearby instead of having to drive all the way to the other side of Chula Vista but this one is not like the others and it's a little disappointing. I think there's room for improvement and hope next year comes with a better selection.
