Liz and her staff went above and beyond to make my dream wedding come true! I had a vision of what I wanted but gave Liz the freedom to choose the flowers she thought would look best with the decor I purchased. I had an idea of what the bouquets and flower arrangements would look like but had no idea of how beautiful they truly would be. My husband & I had a Comic-Con themed wedding last October. I was Captain America and my husband was Iron Man. When we went in search of flowers for our wedding, we checked out Wholesale Flowers thinking we found our place and we were wrong. My friend gave me Barliz Flowers as a recommendation and we are so glad she did! We had so many colors involved in our wedding since everyone in the wedding party was assigned a superhero. Our wedding color was orange since it was on Halloween. Liz suggested that we skip the orange and just work with the colors of the superheros - it made our life so much easier! She then suggested that we combine the colors into my wedding bouquet. We simplified the colors at the reception to be white and red. She also worked with us on the arch for the ceremony - the same flowers were used at our table. She was very reasonably priced and has a wonderful eye for flowers. She saved the day in making our wedding look beautiful with the flowers in our bouquets, archway, and centerpieces. We had so many compliments on the flowers. She was the best in town and we were glad we found her. She was honest in what flowers would work and what would save you money. She also showed up early to setup the flowers at the wedding site. She set everything up, moved the flower in between the ceremony and reception, and even helped straighten out my wife's dress before she walked down the aisle. Better late than never - I am writing this review more than 2 years after my wedding, but I guess that can be a testament to how much I think Liz deserves a great review on yelp. She was able to turn our very nice clubhouse into a beautiful venue for our wedding. I asked her to hang roses from the wooden pergola and design large floral arrangements to go in front of the pillars in addition to putting together the bouquets and boutineers. She went above and beyond and also added flowers to our cupcake arrangements, toasting glasses, wishing tree and she even agreed to help set-up our table numbers, and other things that we needed help setting up. Ok- This review is LONG overdue!! We had the pleasure of working with Liz for my wedding in March. Liz was absolutely wonderful! Not only was each and every single floral arrangement done to perfection. Liz always greeted us with a smile and an always positive attitude. I can be, I am, very indecisive. Which I'm sure made the whole wedding planning process a bit drawn out. But, no matter how many times I changed my mind on centerpieces, Liz was willing to work with me. Never getting frustrated or annoyed. In the end, I went with my original ideas. I had three different types of centerpieces, bouquets, an arch arrangement and smaller arrangements for the dessert wall, cocktail tables, etc. All of which turned out BEAUTIFUL! When I arrived at the venue, Liz was already there. She actually had already finished setting up! It was such a nice surprise to arrive to all the beautiful flowers in their place. Keep in mind that the daughter of a florist who has watched her mom create dreams her whole life is probably the TOUGHEST critic and most difficult person to work with. I wasn't ready to make decisions on what I wanted, she would help guide me without pressuring me at all. That is a truly CARING professional. With all the stress that surrounds planning a wedding the LAST thing you need is someone who is cold or snappy with you as a bride. My mom took every little thing we said we wanted and made it ALL come to life. I didn't give her specifics after all, I gave her ideas, told her my vision, and let her create. Florists are ARTISTS, my mom included, they work best when you let them do what you hired them to do which is design and create! The moment I set my eyes on my bouquet I realized that even when I didn't make sense, she was listening, because everything I wanted was somehow reflected in that bouquet. I will spend the rest of my life thanking my mom for everything she did for us on our wedding day. Yesterday I ordered a bouquet delivery online for my mom's birthday. I called the shop this morning to confirm my order and the florist was very friendly. I researched for 2 hrs on yelp before deciding on Barliz, and I talked twice to the owner, and was told no problem to order in advance online, just to put the delivery date and time in the notes. So I did but because I'm expecting them to be delivered to my hotel as a surprise before checkin, I ordered in advance. $70 for some sunflowers in a birthday boxed pot with 3 mylar balloons. I'm in my room looking for these items to no avail. The hotel asks me to call my delivery service, they haven't seen them. I call and the distressed owner realizes her staff put the order for the next day, apologizes, gives a $10 credit and delivers the order in an hour with an upgrade of free roses and a premium amount instead of the standard arrangement. Speedy recovery, yet the arrangement isn't even close to the type of colors or flowers I ordered, doesn't say happy bday on the box/pot and the $15 balloons are chincy. The owner was again apologetic, but I'm underwhelmed by not only a bad stay and unclean hotel room, but also by the lack of surprise delivery, wrong product, gridlock 2 hour drive and and... and oh did I forget to mention ... an unhappy girlfriend???
