I always enjoy the food but I can't seem to get past the terribly SLOW service. They are friendly but unfortunately it just doesn't make up for the lack of speed. For instance, today I was in there ordering a salad... there was one person sitting down eating and no one else in the place. It was after 2pm so not a peak time, I would imagine. There were FIVE people behind the counter cooking/prepping (i.e. horsing around) and one person at the register (she's always very friendly). I waited 20+ minutes. And it doesn't matter what time of day or if you call ahead. If you've got time, give it a try. Otherwise, I'd find another place to grab a quick lunch! read more

I am updating my review a little sami's because I gave them a second chance.... Some of the people at the office want it some food from here.... I ended up getting a small pizza with pepperoni and sausage.... And I have to say it is one of the better pieces I've had thin crust crispy edges a little greasy just like you wanted to be and the quality of the toppings were spot-on. It really did have that old time down home neighborhood Pizzeria taste and feel. Great job on the pizza! read more

This is my absolute favorite sandwich shop on the south shore. I've tried almost all of their signature sandwiches and burgers and have not been disappointed at all. Plus, they serve tater tots - what's not to love about that? Their mac and cheese is out of this world. I expecially love the cheesburger mac. Sometimes the wait times are a bit long so expect that. I understand being busy during the lunch rush. Good for you. But you know you are busy, so don't say my one sub and fries order will be ready in 20 minutes, and then make me wait 50 minutes!! I stood there watching at least 6 of the same subs get made before getting my order, and that was after I left and came back 20 minutes after I ordered!!. No way that they all ordered before me. I was the last customer in the shop by the time I got my order. And the 20 minute estimate wasn't from a newbie worker, this was the woman who was obviously running the show in the front! I can't believe I've never gone here till just now. I've tried the cowboy burger, mac and cheese, and greek lemon soup. They all were great. They give a good amount for the price. The flavor of the burger is ok, but choice of options is what makes it great. I'll be back to try more....especially all the different types of mac and cheese they have. read more

The Next Day Turkey sandwich is really good! It comes with Turkey (duh), cranberry sauce, mayo, stuffing and lettuce and tomato. They have over a dozen different signature subs that you can choose from, but I'm always happy with a place that makes a thanksgiving meal within a sandwich, so saying that I probably won't try any other type of sub besides that one. I have been here a few times and noticed that everything is freshly made. The buffalo chicken mac n cheese isn't bad and has big chunks of chicken unlike a lot of places that skimp out on the meat. Service could be a little more friendly, but you can't really say much if your being waited on by teenagers that are in high school and just want a job no matter what it is! The price is just like every other sub shop, but here you get the better quality. Overall this is a really good sandwich place that is overlooked and shouldn't be. read more

I stopped here because someone told me once they had the biggest and greatest meatballs. Not what I got in my opinion. I ordered a large meatball sub. The sub was large and worth the money but I didn't like the taste. It could just be me. The parking lot is odd an a "one way" beware of that. I was honked at as I went in the wrong way. I am always willing to give most (emphasis, most) places a second try when the first impression wasn't so great. And sure enough, I tried Little Sami's again -- not once, but twice -- and they are definitely worthy of four stars. On both occasions, after feeling underwhelmed with their Greek salad, I decided to order a chicken caesar salad. And it was worth every penny near $9 for it. First off, the chicken is seasoned perfectly and grilled fresh (as in, it's still warm when you pick it up) and it is tasty. No rubber pre-processed crap! Furthermore, they use huge slices of parmesan cheese and garlic-seasoned croutons. I'm not sure if their caesar dressing is homemade or provided by their food supplier, but it is awesome -- thick, creamy, and even a little cheesy, too. That's right, I said it. I've been to Little Sami's many times and my company and I have never had a bad meal. First off, the menu is huge & the descriptions make it so damn hard to chose! My husband raves about the Sami's Favorite sandwich, gets it almost everytime. I've had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, Chicken Caprice sandwich & some roll-ups. By far, my fave is their mac 'n cheese dishes, oh-em-gee delicious & made so many ways! There is a bit of a wait for food but it's only because they take their time to serve you the best! If you're in the area, try out Little Sami's for lunch & even bring your laptop, as the place has wifi. P.S. If you're looking for the restroom, it's in the kitchen! read more

Usually the go to place for my family when deciding on to order pizza because their half sheets are fairly priced and isn't as bad as a lot of pizza places. Only issue is sometimes it can be a little bit to greasy but if I dav with a napkin it soaks most of it up. But their sheet pizzas being a tad bit greasy isn't a big deal because they have a good cheese to sauce to bread ratio. Other places I've gone tend to have to much bread/dough or to much sauce etc. it's always super clean inside and the employees are always super friendly and nice. read more

My previous review must have been taken to heart because customer service has improved immensely since last summer. Service with a smile and always polite over the phone when calling in an order, they even have a sense of humor. It's been a nice change. There is a reason for the 20-25 min phone order and long (but quick moving) lines at the counter. The food is served hot & fresh and always delicious. I would love to see what they would come up with if they instituted a daily special menu as I'm sure they could get creative. Though I have never seen the menu updated their staple items always are worth trying. The buffalo mac & cheese is made with grilled chicken instead of breaded. It's a heavy dish that will not disappoint any buffalo fans as I find the heat just right. The fact that there is a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu is funny to me. Its good stuff. Served with bacon and tomato, its just the right combination to leave you wanting it again. The grilled chicken kabobs (also served buffalo style if you wish) are served with grilled asparagus and rice pilaf. Its light, fresh and I always take them home to share. All in all, its still my favorite lunchtime place in the area and I love that they have updated their staff to make their business stand out. read more

I do like the food here, and the employees were all actually pleasant and friendly. But they don't use any kind of name/order number system to control which order comes out. They just say the name of the sandwich, which if you order the El Diablo at lunchtime, i guarantee there are 5 other people also waiting for an El Diablo, and think the one that's ready must be theirs. So I understand that things get busy, and may take a little time, but there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency from anyone behind the counter. They take their time making the food and if you have to wait, that's your problem. After waiting a long time and asking if mine was at least in process several times, they found that it had been sitting on the counter for 10 mins and nobody had noticed it. I actually wouldn't have even been that upset if they had made any attempt to "make it right" or apologize for things getting messed up. But I was disappointed in how it was handled and am not sure I will be going back anytime soon. read more

Their grill cheese is out of this world! And it was huge! It was definitely not your average grilled cheese sandwich!

If you can get past the fact that staff doesn't make eye contact or greet you, the blaring hip hop music or the irony that every time you order a staple item from the menu chances are it will be different; this is your spot. The wait time even at non peak hours is well beyond 30 minutes for a simple cold sandwich or salad. I only go here when there's no other option unfortunately. The quality of food is good, it's the experience that is not which is unfortunate. Maybe someday it will change. I'll keep trying. read more

I really like the subs and burgers. They are creative and yummy. As with most mom&pop joints the size of the portions have decreased which is such a disappointment. Chicken parm just isnt what it used to be. But what annoys me to no end is the simple fact that this shop is a bit too antiquated. The shop has only one register which means that while you're waiting to pay and pick up your food, as it gets cold and your fries get stale, you have to wait in line with people coming in to actually place and pay for their order. Depending on the time of day, that can be a long wait.They need a better system. How about online ordering where we pay online, and when we arrive, our food is there for us to just scoop up (a la D'angelos) ? Something. This is why I go so infrequently because sometimes that wait just isn't worth it. read more

They are always out of stock on something. It seems they have a new menu almost weekly, yet when you try to order something, they don't have it. Try focusing less on coming up with ridiculous food (vanilla ice cream burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cherry) and more on keeping actual food instock. I have tried to order the pulled pork 4 times. I have yet to try it. Mahi mahi I've gotten 2 out of 4 times. Fried pickles 1 out of 3. I'm fed up with them at this point. read more

Ive gone here twice. First time I was driving back to hotel and noticed them. Decided to stop in and ordered the Green Eggs and Ham Burger. I've always love egg on a burger! This one was exceptional! Six days later and still on my business trip I was thinking about what to have for dinner. Called in the same order and it was better than the first time! I called at 8:39pm for a grilled chicken garden salad. They close at 9pm. They told me that it's too close to closing time to make any hot food. Really? It takes about 6-8 minutes to grill a chicken breast. I usually like this place a lot, but refusing to serve me because they're more interested in leaving on time is just unacceptable. Have you ever eaten food so good you get mad that you haven't had it before? This afternoon when my husband and I had lunch at Little Sami's was just like that. I had the Cape Cod burger and my god it was amazing. In a world where burgers are usually bland and tasteless, this one was so far beyond my expectations that I'm seriously thinking of moving, just so it's easier to eat here.
