NOT reputable for mail order! Do not know how to pack and plants arrived decapitated. Was told It was fine when it left their facility blaming on carrier (box was fine). Did offer me a small discount to re-order plant. Who does that? ASK CHAT GPT "IS THE LITTLE RED NURSERY A REPUTABLE COMPANY FOR MAIL ORDER?" AND THEY WILL TELL YOU NO AND WHY. Once it is mailed they claim to be no longer responsible-reputable companies do not act that way. And I have ordered many plants online with companies ALWAYS checking to see how it arrived (I have actually never had any problems before with well packed plants). read more

Little Red Nursery - My referred to response from AI information - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

The plants were poorly packed for shipping, arrived battered and most of them died. Wrote to nursery several times before finally getting a response which was to contact the shipper. I will not be ordering anything further from this nursery. i ordered plants from a different source and they arrived today properly packaged for shipping and very healthy. it is disappointing when a business fails to meet expectations and then blames the problem on someone else. LittleRed did not offer to replace or refund my order. Shop elsewhere! read more

Love walking through this nursery. You can often find unusual plants such as a topiary Smoke Tree, it was stunning! They also have a nice selection of house plants inside. read more

They price gouge even at the pumpkin patch. We ended up going to three different pumpkin patches and this was by far the most expensive and least to attend again. Avoid and just go to a local one or the farmers market read more

I bought two live lavender plants from Little Red Nursery. Upon arrival, on Aug 14th, one plant had one stem barely alive while the rest of the plant was obviously dead. The other plant looked okay. I wrote the company the same day. Anna assured me that it was a resilient plant and just give it time. The next day, the mostly dead plant was now completely dead...not a green spot on the entire plant. The second plant was already showing signs of distress, but I kept it in direct sun and watched the dampness of the soil. Today, five days later, this plant was also dead. So, I paid just shy of $55 for two plants that didn't survive 5 days. Customer service at Little Red is a joke. Don't expect them to resolve any issues with their products. As far as value is concerned, I cannot recommend any nursery that cost me $11 per day for plants that died so quickly, with no offer of resolution. This place is a scam. read more

Great staff, great plants at great prices. Lots of rare plants to choose from. I'm from put of town and will definitely go back next time I'm in the area. Bought 4 plants today. Love this plant store. read more

Everything at this nursery is up charged. Go down the street to any other local nursery and the prices are SIGNIFICANTLY lower. The employees are rude & have 0 knowledge of any of the products. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Zero customer service. They sent me the wrong species of rose bushes! When they arrived, nearly a month later, after paying for three-day express shipping, they had been packed upside down in their box (labeled this side up), and all of the planting material had come out of their containers. I immediately noticed the plants were not similar to my existing roses. I contacted them and was told this is because they had been in a greenhouse, as for the color, but they could not explain the texture or leaf shape difference. We went back and forth sharing photos, etc. They then told me they had been shipped directly from another nursery, and they had been acting as a wholesaler in the transaction. I asked to return the plants and a refund under their guarantee. I have heard nothing back and have reached out to them repeatedly. It's so disappointing that a company that works so hard to have a glossy online presence can't follow through with a simple refund request. read more

Service was great when we bought our Christmas tree. They're always helpful and knowledgeable

LRRH is a magical place and definitely one of Lubbock's treasures. From their selection outdoors, to their selection indoors, you'll be sure to find exactly what you are looking for, if not better. The quality of the plants and merchandise is unmatched by big box stores. The ambiance alone is worth shopping there. SUPPORT! LOCAL! BUSINESSES! read more

Little Red Nursery - Terrarium I made with supplies bought from LRRH - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

They have a great selection of houseplants and accessories all year round. To my surprise, they opened up some other sections and had a huge selection of annuals and perennials once spring came around. They also have a friendly cat and dog on the property, and the staff are laid back. It was a nice surprise finding this place. read more

Bought two flowering plants that I was told would be good in full sun. Within 4.5 hours the flowers had fallen over despite me planting them as instructed on the tag. Unfortunately they don't give a guarantee on their plants and I couldn't get my money back. They normally don't allow replacements but we're at least willing to do that. I won't purchase anywhere without a guarantee especially after only a few hours of buying them read more

Little Red Nursery - How the plants looked a few hours after planting them. Flowers were dropped over. - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

Just a really adorable little nursery with really awesome selection. Pretty sure every time I go in, I ask questions and they've always been helpful. read more

Wonderful selection, adorable place, and such helpful, kind people working there :) Definitely recommend!

Horrible customer service. And extremely high prices. The employee had no knowledge of plants and tried using her phone to identify a plant that was priced $140. How can you charge that much for a plant and have no clue what it is? read more

I don't even know how this place could ever get bad reviews. I love their succulents and the employees can be quiet at times but honestly that's better to me. They've always been helpful if I've asked for help and most of the time they ask me if I need help finding a plant. If you're looking for a cool houseplant or even a succulent, I would definitely recommend here read more

I drove to this place today hoping to find some advice on repotting my little plants. I immediately fell in love with this place. This place is filled with all kinds of plants growing indoor, the sound of water fountain, a white dove, cool terrariums, antique stuff... I was immediately greeted by a staff and people were so down to earth. They exactly knew what kind of soils I needed for different kinds of plants and pointed out what I really needed to get from them (as opposed to the general items that I can probably find cheaper at larger stores). Still, the different soils and plant food were making it a bit expensive for me. And honestly, I was not sure what I should do with the rest of the soils and plant food. Then, they suggested that they can repot the plants only for $6! They offered to include all the soil and plant food for the different plants. And... they did such a beautiful job repotting them. But the story does not end here - they even put some nice moss and river stones on the soils for the presentation and better water retention. This is a place with great therapeutic atmosphere with knowledgable and down to earth people. I will definitely come back here to support the local stores! And... with regards to a one star review. (No, I did not send him a message.) I think people can have any opinion about the store but it is not a fair judgement to rate the store one star just because they don't want to deal with any politics inside the store. This is a fairly conservative part of the U.S. but we never know what customer's political ideology is. Thus, if one runs a business, it is better that they keep it neutral. The review should be based on the service and the product one receives from the business and not on the match (or mismatch) of political ideas. read more

I went there twice, one time to look for a plant, one time to ask them to support our troops. The first time they would get a 4 for the plants they have and a 2 for the people that work there. When I asked them to support our troops, they told me they don't do such things. This gives them a negative 10 read more

I have been scammed. I bought at the nursery a gift certificate for my wife, an avid gardner. Today She went to redeem the gift certificate and the owner told her we no longer do that. As Seniors on very tight budget I'm out my money and my wife is upset. I will never go there again and I suggest you learn from my experience. Worst experience of poor service ever. read more

I don't know why people are saying that the service here sucks. I went here today and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Ya it's kinda more expensive but you're shopping at a Mom and pop shop and keeping it local. So I think it's definitely worth it. read more

The customer service here is beyond terrible. 1. Nobody even acknowledges you when you walk in. 2. The cashier in the front is extremely rude and short with customers. 3. I personally witnessed one of the managers (I'm assuming) yell at an employee in front of customers. 4. Prices are extremely high for a business that has no return policy. 5. I also saw the same lady that yelled at the other employee pick tomatoes off the plants and eat them! Extremely unprofessional. I honestly don't understand how they have any business or employees with the way they treat people there. read more

Came here with a friend and we loved it! The owner was very helpful and sweet and she answered any questions we had about our purchases. Great prices and a large selection of both indoor and outdoor plants, plus plenty of garden tools and seeds. I highly recommend this nursery! read more

I went there 7/10/17 and only saw one person working and she never asked if my husband and I needed help. Finally crossed paths with her on our way out and I said hi. She didn't acknowledge that I even spoke. It really was kind of scary that we could wander all thru the store and no one was there to help. Won't be going back only to be ignored! read more

Went here today for the first time. They have a great selection of plants...herbs, vegetables, vines, perennials and the like. There were plenty of varieties of both standard plantings and new and interesting options. The store has a good layout and a decent selection garden decor, seating, and pottery. Prices were a bit high from what I am used to, but they were comparable to the only other nursery I have been to in the area. Also, I would like to have more options for things like compost and mulch, but I definitely see my self returning. read more

Bought a pinion pine tree from them, a few days later, I noticed the tree was dying. I got a closer look at it and noticed some insect had attacked it. I attempted to treat the tree, but it was too late. They claim they have a 24-hour return policy and refuse to do anything about it. I wasted 120 US Dollars. I do not recommend them, especially if you are buying an expensive item. read more

Large variety of plants, calming environment, and very helpful staff--they will recommend against a purchase if it doesn't fit your needs. Yes, it's a little bit more pricey than Walmart, but, contrary to Walmart, they know what they are selling and they also support causes in the community. read more

One of my favorite places in Lubbock. Great selection of plants and a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Always courteous and willing to go the extra step to help; especially Alex -- she's the best!! read more

I will never ever go to this place again. First lets preface this with some good... they have excellent choice of flowers and other plants... This however is not about them. My family consists of me and my wife, our 9yo daughter and the hero of the tale my 4yo son. As I came out of the restroom my wife and kids were there. My son had knocked over a pot and it broke. Of course he didnt knock over a small one, he got one that he could have fit in. My wife then apparently got lectured on how she was a bad mom because she wasnt watching her kids and then the owner told us that we would have to pay for it. Anyone have little kids? Yall remember how quck they disappear. Especailly when you are trying to show the 9yo something. Accident. He wanted to see what was in the pot. Yes he did it.. Yes that was a lapse in my wife's concentration, but he was not being a terror. Now I acted a fool here. I was mad so I yelled at her and then took my crew to the car just going to leave. She (the owner) followed us out the door telling us that we owed her and that she was calling the cops. I decided to just capitulate and let her win. There was so much I should have done... but I didnt. I went back in and set up a payment plan for the pot. Now I am out 500 for a stupid pot. If we are responsble for breakage make sure to tell your customers that. I would not have taken my 4yo in there for this exact reason. 900 stars for the selection, -899 for the way I was treated as a customer. Dont and I mean DONT take your small kids to this shop. read more

I would not recommend their landscape consultation. It is not delivered as advertised and the customer service is poor.

Went by today and got a Christmas cactus with the wife. Very knowledgeable staff and she even pulled out a book that showed how to care for the plant all year and let me take a picture with my phone to have. Good variety too! Thank you! read more
