The ribeye really impressed me. We came around 8pm on a Saturday and they were sold out of a few things including rice pilaf so they substituted that with fries instead. Very cute spot in Chester with some indoor and outdoor seating. Felt family owned and they were very nice!

In my opinion, this restaurant is hyped up but it's very average, not that special…read more I ordered two salads here and added chicken. Both salads were about $30. each. That's a lot of money for just lettuce, tomato, cucumber, chicken, and some dressing. One was to go and one was sit down. What really offended me as well was I am a tourist and was dealing with hardship at a hotel. I was staying at this can happen to anyone. I was under a lot of stress and the first night the owner was so sweet, kind and compassionate really a breath of fresh air. Maybe she was just trying to impress the customers that were inside with how wonderful she was. When it came in the second night, she acted as if she didn't even know who I was adding more rudeness and stress to my already stressed out trip. Anyone can get stuck staying at a ratty motel and not knowing. This can happen to anyone. If you have a bipolar personality where you are super nice one day and cold and distant the next day customers do not like that and they feel it too. When I left to go use the restroom after I had paid my bill and hadn't even finished tipping, I saw her gossiping to the man folding napkins. I knew they were talking about me. You would think she would have some compassion and being a repeat customer twice on my trip. I then said, have a good night and put some money on the table less than I normally would because being treated disrespectfully for no reason is just not cool. Either just don't talk to people or be genuinely friendly. It's easy. Aside from that it's a cute restaurant, but the food is nothing special and if you like paying $30 for a salad, then you do you. I think their only claim to fame is that they have Turkish tea, which is a little exotic to Americans, but isn't a big deal if you were abroad in Europe.

My sister lives in Millville and this was the first time we went into this very cute coffee shop!…read moreWe decided to have a slow morning and enjoy some coffee and breakfast with my sister & niece. We were the only ones inside as they open at 8:00am and we arrived at 8:30am. The women were very sweet in taking our order and preparing our coffee and breakfast items. The caramelized onion and thyme danish could have had more onion flavor in my opinion; it was very mild tasting but overall very yummy! The Lassen Breakfast Sandwich was TO DIE FOR. The croissant dough was EXTREMELY flakey (dare I say almost TOO flakey). Just prepare for a flakey mess! But the flavors of the fresh spinach, yummy egg, aioli and ripe tomato made the PERFECT bite! The banana bread latte with oat milk was the perfect balance of coffee, oat milk, sweetness. I was debating on adding some extra banana bread syrup but I will try that next time. They did forget to bring us a chocolate croissant that my niece ordered; but she was apologetic and brought it over and we paid for it afterwards. Forgot to take a photo but the croissant was more fluffy and not as flakey as the sandwich; there was a good amount of chocolate inside and my niece ate the entire thing! The interior is very cozy and feels like home and welcoming. The prices are a little steep, but for what you are getting (freshly made daily pastries, syrups, coffee), I would gladly support again!

We met the owner who baked everything by hand in the back of the shop. We could see her prepping more pastries. She was so sweet, just a lovely person. You can't help but want to support her business. And then the pastries themselves were just so good, I would gain so much weight if I lived up there year around because I would eat there everyday! My dad and I shared the Ham and smoked Gouda calzone and oh my goodness was it good! Flakey crust, perfect fillings. It was delectable. I had the chocolate and banana turnover and absolutely loved it. Again, great pastry crust? And the proportions of banana to chocolate were perfect! I also loved my apricot and cheese danish. The flavors really complemented each other, and again - perfect crust! My dad tried the berry and cheese danish and the chocolate croissant and he loved them both! I don't think you could go wrong with any of the pastries here. We took our order to go and ate them the next morning and they were still delicious. It's an inviting shop, with limited seating inside along with plenty of seating outside, so it would be a great place to have a bite to eat as well!

I did notice the cute interior Dutch decorations and realized the coffee shop name is in Dutch! This is such a cute find in a small town. They have microwaves for you to warm up your pastries yourself if preferred. The lady is friendly and will give you recommendations if you are having trouble deciding what to get. I was a little disappointed as there was barely any chicken in the chicken pesto calzone. However I recommend all the cake and sweets there.
