If you live in Columbia and haven't been to Little Pigs BBQ, you're truly missing out. This unassuming spot is always packed--and for good reason. Once you go, you get it. It's not fancy, and that's part of the charm. The BBQ is incredible, the fried chicken is perfection, the ribs don't miss, and the buffet is stacked with comfort-food goodness. I'm not usually a buffet girl, but this is the exception every single time. I usually end up with a whole plate just for sides because how do you choose between sweet candied yams, fried okra, collard greens, and mac & cheese? (Spoiler: you don't. You get them all.) And whatever you do, save room for the chocolate peanut butter delight. I don't know what magic they put in that dessert, but it's the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. If you're in the Columbia area, do yourself a favor and add Little Pigs BBQ to your must-try list.

I thought this place was a bbq joint but it's a southern buffet. Very old skool. Was kinda weird they made you put the glove on to serve yourself. Food quality was ok, little rough around the edges. Was definitely a popular spot as we were coming in the State Troopers where all leaving and as we were leaving the church crowd had arrived. Restroom was tiny, stall was a like a church pew. Wasn't really fussed about this place. Very difficult eating your food with plastic plates and cutlery. There was a chicken in the parking lot too!

Mostly sides on the first buffet pass.

Was passing through town and popped into Little Pigs not realizing it was a buffet. First time at a bbq buffet, and it was good. Would have come in hungrier if I'd known. They keep it clean and safe by requiring patrons wear disposable gloves and use a fresh plate every pass. Food is good and the place gives off an authentic southern vibe. Go hungry, lots of selections, liked everything I tried, especially the greens!

We came here on a Sunday for the last part of their lunch buffet. I was happy that they were still putting fresh food out even though there was just an hour left in their lunch service. The buffet is very clean and I appreciate that they have everyone wearing a glove to serve themselves. Don't come here if you're a vegetarian, but if you are an omnivore like me, then you're in business! Various barbecue pork was good: mustard style was my favorite. I also liked the fried things--chicken livers and gizzards were delicious and the hush puppies were a good balance of crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Decor is pretty spare, but for prices this low, you're not there for the atmosphere. Friendly staff too.

Never disappoints. The best BBQ around. Don't sleep on the fried chicken either. Come hungry and leave satisfied.

This was my first time eating from here, and I promise you it will not be my last! The food we…read moreordered was delicious. I ordered the Barbecue Salmon with Stemmed Broccoli and Hush puppies. This was so good and juicy. It had just the right amount of sauce, not too heavy or too light. It was perfect:) The broccoli was nice and fresh. Omg, the hush puppies were amazing! My husband ordered the Chili the Kid Tacos. The meat he chose was chicken. He stated it had a little spice with a sweet aftertaste. This he loved! The chicken was tender and full of guacamole, pickled onions and salsa. He also ordered Spanish rice and beans to make his meal complete. Everything was prepared well. Customer service was great. The ambiance was well lit, and the restaurant was clean. We enjoyed everything to the last drop!

Medwood popped up on my Yelp feed as a solid option, so we decided to check it out. The Western-themed decor features plenty of dark wood and dim lighting, which created a great vibe. As for the food, the barbecue was good--tender and not too dry or tough. I went with the half rack of ribs while my wife got the pulled chicken plate. Service was attentive, and our dishes came out quickly. While the meal overall was enjoyable rather than particularly memorable, their signature BBQ sauces were fantastic and definitely worth buying a bottle or two to take home.

BBQ Buffet!? Doc's…read moreBBQ is a must stop for anyone that's into BBQ with a big appetite. The setup here is buffet style all you can eat BBQ and side. YES! All you can eat. What an amazing concept. I can say that the food quality is pretty awesome especially considering the buffet style restaurant. I've been twice now and both times the food was awesome and they don't pull back on anything here. The only issue is they do have some weird hours but for what you get and how they do things it's totally worth a trip during lunch. I highly recommend hitting this spot if you're a fan of BBQ and have ever felt like you didn't here get enough of your favorite BBQ dishes.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 6…read moreDecor: 6 Value: 9 Overall: 7 I first came to Doc's back in summer of 2023 because I wanted to pig out on southern comfort food. Well, at $14.50 back then for the buffet, I thought I was in heaven. A huge array of choices that will induce the heart attack I was looking for. Price has obviously gone up a tick, but it's still a great deal imho. Since the restaurant was super busy, everything felt extremely fresh. As for mains, I guess I enjoyed the fried chicken a lot since I keep refilling ny plate with it. I also tried a little bit of everything else, including the bbq pulled pork, fried catfish nuggets, and meatloaf (Tuesday special). They were all good. As for sides, there were plenty to choose from. All the southern staples are here, like mac & cheese, collard greens, coleslaw, potato salad, hush puppies, etc. Don't forget to get some desserts too. I like their peach cobbler. A place like this can only survive in the south. I wish we had something remotely resembling Doc's back in NYC, but it'll never work. I'll just have to visit the south more often for gems like these.
