I contacted Little Pigs with a request that was a little out of the ordinary. They were super busy at the time because it was coming up on 4th of July. They politely asked me to get back in touch after the holiday which was completely understandable. Once we got back in touch, they went above and beyond what I expected and made things very easy for me. I have never eaten here but my friend raves about it, and the way they handled my request gives me great confidence that their food is excellent and their service is exemplary. First time Friday lunch 3/20/26. My youngest son suggested lunch here. Arrived around 11:30am and glad we did. When we left the line to pay was out the door. Paid right away, I think it's around $15 which includes all you can eat, dessert and drink. Cashier automatically gave me a senior discount. Excellent pulled pork BBQ, in 3 or 4 different styles/ flavors. My favorite was the smoked whole hog where you pull off what you want. Everything was fresh and delicious. Top of the line all you can eat BBQ for South Carolina and I can't think of any BBQ that beats the price. Plenty of seating and it was not too loud. We were able to carry on great conversation. Saw Mikey Chen visit this spot and he gave a great review. So i was driving through Columbia so i had to try. The buffet was pretty cheap 16 bucks for lunch including drinks and taxes. They had a lot of meats from a couple different kind of pulled pork, to fried chicken, fried cat fish, ribs and brisket. The bbq didn't really blow me away. The sides i love their potato salad was wonderful and probably the best thing is they're hush puppies. Crispy and kind of sweet. If you like hush puppies you'll love it. Overall not a bad spot. I would eat here once a month or more if i live close. The food is not gonna blow you away but non the less it's a great deal for what you get. If you live in Columbia and haven't been to Little Pigs BBQ, you're truly missing out. This unassuming spot is always packed--and for good reason. Once you go, you get it. It's not fancy, and that's part of the charm. The BBQ is incredible, the fried chicken is perfection, the ribs don't miss, and the buffet is stacked with comfort-food goodness. I'm not usually a buffet girl, but this is the exception every single time. I usually end up with a whole plate just for sides because how do you choose between sweet candied yams, fried okra, collard greens, and mac & cheese? (Spoiler: you don't. You get them all.) And whatever you do, save room for the chocolate peanut butter delight. I don't know what magic they put in that dessert, but it's the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. I thought this place was a bbq joint but it's a southern buffet. Very old skool. Was kinda weird they made you put the glove on to serve yourself. Food quality was ok, little rough around the edges. Was definitely a popular spot as we were coming in the State Troopers where all leaving and as we were leaving the church crowd had arrived. Restroom was tiny, stall was a like a church pew. Was passing through town and popped into Little Pigs not realizing it was a buffet. First time at a bbq buffet, and it was good. Would have come in hungrier if I'd known. They keep it clean and safe by requiring patrons wear disposable gloves and use a fresh plate every pass. Food is good and the place gives off an authentic southern vibe. We came here on a Sunday for the last part of their lunch buffet. I was happy that they were still putting fresh food out even though there was just an hour left in their lunch service. The buffet is very clean and I appreciate that they have everyone wearing a glove to serve themselves. Don't come here if you're a vegetarian, but if you are an omnivore like me, then you're in business! Various barbecue pork was good: mustard style was my favorite. I also liked the fried things--chicken livers and gizzards were delicious and the hush puppies were a good balance of crispy exterior and fluffy interior. They have a buffet and they keep it going, but the pulled pork was below average. Too much sauce, yet dry (I don't know how that happens really). The ribs were just not good - fatty with gristle, and tough. The roasted pork, was legit 5 stars though. The potato salad and collards were strong. Fried okra and hush puppies were meh. I give this place credit with the prices and the variety. I'd love to support them, but the pulled pork, which should be a shining star in South Carolina, is not up to par. I will venture in for the variety, but will avoid the things that are no goes. I guess that's a buffet. read more

You can improve the quality of the food! How this place has four stars is a mystery. This is a very poor southern BBQ buffet. The quality of the food is terrible. The BBQ is dry so they just put on more sauce. The chicken is nothing to write home about; liver and gizzards are overcooked. The macaroni and cheese was very dry and frankly I have had better boxed Mac and Cheese. Very poor for a place that has been around as long as they have. No pride in the quality of their food. It's gone downhill in recent years. We haven't been in almost a year because I've previous issues with orders, but I decided to give it another try. Two of our plates were either missing a side item or had gravy applied when we did not ask for it. The portion sizes are even smaller than they were a year ago and the hush puppies are not as good. The ultimate BBQ Buffet. This place has a pretty massive spread of southern BBQ classics. The food itself is solid and the spread just makes it all that much better. They have 3 different kinds of pulI pork. Mustard base, BBQ style, and vinegar base. All 3 I loved but the mustard based is my favorite. I used to really like this place. They are still making you use gloves which is ok with me. They are the only restaurant that won't let you get your own drinks. Instead this older lady is standing in front of the drink machine (when she's not cleaning tables) and get your drinks. I put my place on the table then went to get a fork. The same drink lady was spraying cleaner on the table around my plate. I said "What the hell?" She said "I didn't spray your plate of food". I highly disagree. You can see the mist from the cleaner all around the plate and on top. No, she didn't spray the plate directly. When you get your drink initially or get a refill on drinks you have to wait on her to finish wiping down the table. My grandson (16) went and got his drink refilled and she poured it all over is hands. The food was good i give them that. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of care that went into keeping the buffet and the drink area sanitary. You must put on gloves before handling the utensils to place food on your plate and the drinks are provided by an employee. The food was plentiful and had a nice selection of items that were flavorful and delicious. The Ice tea was amazing also! You can also takeout as well as eat in at one of the many tables and kick back enjoy your food while listening to the amazing guitarist play and sing a variety of songs. First time eating here and definitely a new customer. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious so many choices. If you can't find something on this buffet you like then there's something wrong with you. The fried pork chop was delicious and probably one of my favorites, I know it's a barbecue place, but I love fried pork chops, the green beans were some of the best I've ever had. The lemon pudding is really good. We came for lunch and the entire time we were there there was a line out the door. If I had one thing to complain about, was they offer a police discount but not a firefighter or military discount which is a little confusing since a lot of their decor is military themed. Little Pigs was an unexpected surprise. My expectations weren't high pulling in as I looked at the neglected and weathered signage. My first surprise was the price. Very affordable. Next was the selection. I've never seen so many meats on a buffet. Lots of good country cooked choices and the flavor didn't disappoint. The BBQ was some if not the best I've had and the chicken livers were a 10!! Truly the best I've ever had in my life and I know chicken livers. My only complaints were the only choices for dessert were chocolate pudding and banana pudding and I'm not a fan of either. Took me a long time to give a review because I really didn't want to do it. Went to Little Pigs on the 4th of July. Web page said they were open til 8. Got there at 5:45 and the door was locked. Went in the pick-up door and asked the cashier if we could pay and eat. She refused us saying that they had run out of Collard Greens. I don't think that was a good reason to close down. I don't even eat collard greens. Well, since we have gone there at least 2 times a month and on every holiday except Thanksgiving and Christmas for over 20 years except when they were closed because of the fire, and even though Covid, we might not be going back. I hate to do that to Champ and Chris because of Collard Greens, but it is what it is. I give the one star because of this incident, not because of the food. The food is excellent. read more
