The Cradle Company - New space in Pasadena!

The Cradle Company

(42 reviews)

The Cradle Company saved my sanity. Seriously. Last year, I gave birth to my treasured little…read morebaby, who was quite frustrated with breastfeeding. Hannah and the breastfeeding support group provided me with an environment that helped me to persist through that tough transition period... my frustrated baby eventually became a champion at the breast (so much so that she weaned herself off of the bottle)! If you are looking for or even considering lactation support, this is the place to be. In addition to breastfeeding support, I've also been through the childbirth education class. It was well done and not prescriptive... it was truly informative, the way I would expect a childbirth education class to be, and supportive of the diverse birth plans people may have.

Would I recommend Brandi Jordan as a sleep consultant? Not unless you're a celebrity or have…read morethousands of dollars to waste. For the average parent, you'll likely spend thousands of dollars only to end up back where you started--with vague, generic advice you could easily find online and some added reassurance. Brandi's approach offers little to no long-term guidance. She works on a day-by-day basis without providing written materials or a structured plan to follow, which makes it nearly impossible to build consistency once the sessions end. It feels like being handed a toolkit for a toy bike when you're trying to fix a kitchen sink, completely mismatched and ultimately unhelpful. Throughout our experience, she asked for detailed information about our child's sleep schedule, feeding patterns, and behaviors, which was time-consuming to document. Yet, those details seemed disregarded, as the feedback almost always boiled down to a generic "you'll have to let the baby cry," delivered in a reassuring but repetitive way. Months later, we're still struggling to get our child to sleep independently. We received no follow-up documents, no lasting framework, and no practical tools to help us move forward. After spending over $1,000, we were left feeling misled, frustrated, and uncertain about what to do next. If you're considering hiring Brandi, I urge you to think carefully. Save your time, energy, and resources. Look for a consultant who offers structured support, written guidance, and consistent follow-through; not someone whose attention is divided elsewhere. Parents deserve more than being treated like another number in the queue. Updated response to Brandi... I actually worked with you in April 2025, and communication stopped soon after the contract period ended. We followed your instructions exactly as outlined. Not every child responds the same way, and sometimes a more individualized approach is necessary, but it became clear you didn't have the time or availability to provide that level of support.

When I was pregnant I took for granted that I would just intuitively know how to care for a baby,…read moredespite having never spent much time around them before, let alone had one of my own. Then I actually had my baby, and I was shocked by how challenging some of the "basic responsibilities" were! Some end up much more complicated than you thought they would be. (Breastfeeding and naps.) Others you don't even think about because they seem so simple, and when the time comes they're confusing and terrifying! (Giving your newborn a bath, safe sleeping.) Thank goodness for Kathleen!! She had all the answers, and then some. She showed me how to breastfeed the right way (believe me, I would've never thought there was a "wrong" way to do it, but hers really was the easiest and most effective), how to swaddle, how to soothe, helped get my baby on a nap schedule, and even showed us how to do her signature "newborn spa bath." (Which my baby was obsessed with.) She helped guide me through the endless abyss of baby products and showed me what I needed, what I didn't, and what was a nice thing to have if I could afford it. I never realized that not only did a service like this exist, but that it was actually very reasonable for the one on one attention you're getting. You don't have to hire her as a full time night nurse to reap the benefits of her decades of knowledge. Even just a few sessions with her taught me SO much, and she was always available via phone if I had a question. I seriously can't tell you how many times in those early days I called her in a panic after going down a Google spiral, and she was able to immediately put my mind at ease. Kathleen is a baby genius and a friend for life, and I can't recommend her enough!

PLEASE AVOID KATHLEEN. READ THE OTHER RECENT NEGATIVE REVIEWS. She somehow got our last review…read moreremoved. I assume she has been doing this with a lot of reviewers. Long story, short: Kathleen should not be taking care of babies at night. I'm rewriting this review because she is putting babies in danger and this could cause harm to baby. She showed up to our house after eye surgery and could barely see and walk around our house at night time. I have camera proof that she fell asleep with our baby in her arms as well. After that, she refused to give back our deposit and took all our money. She claimed it didn't apply because the deposit was applied to the substitute. What a scam of a lady. Putting babies in danger and taking new parents money. Please do not use Kathleen for night nanny/doula services.

Rosemary is an absolute gem. I reached out to her late in the evening, desperately needing help…read morewith early mastitis and severe engorgement just four days after giving birth. To my amazement, she came out to my home at 10 PM and stayed for nearly four hours -- patiently working with me until I was comfortable, confident, and set up for success. She is incredibly knowledgeable, but also so down-to-earth and personable, which made an overwhelming and stressful situation feel much more manageable. Even after the visit, Rosemary continues to check in and offers support via text whenever I have additional questions -- whether it's about my own recovery or ensuring that my son is feeding properly. I truly don't know what I would have done without her help during such a critical time. If you're in need of lactation support, I cannot recommend Rosemary highly enough!

Thankfully, my sister recommended Rosemary to us and she saved us from resorting to using formula, which I was very against. She not only came to the comfort of our home and helped us with the process, but she was very patient and highly informative with knowledge regarding our baby's development and a proper approach in how to get our baby to latch onto his mom's breast. I highly recommend contacting Rosemary if you are in the same position my wire and I were. You will definitely not regret it!

Breast feeding was something I really wanted to do so my husband and I decided to make the investment and have someone come help. I saw the amazing reviews for Mahmee so I gave them a call, they were booked but they gave me the number to Linda Hannah. She was an absolute lifesaver, angel, miracle! She managers to squeeze me in 2 days later and came to the house. Within 5 minutes baby was latching! She gave us a lot of good info and even told us she was available by phone call/FaceTime if any difficulties came up and would even come back without additional cost if needed. Baby has been latching and doing amazing ever since. If breast feeding is important to you then I highly recommend investing in having Linda come work with you. My husband and I were so happy with her and I highly recommend her to everyone.

One appointment at Mahmee fixed everything. We saw Jennifer, who is very focused on the success of both baby AND mom. I was told "we don't breastfeed at any cost" and didn't feel shame about any decisions we made which was a huge help. I also love being able to use the app to ask follow up questions. We went in person to their offices but I believe they also do house visits which would be very convenient if you don't live close.

My husband and I took several classes at Village Birth leading up the birth of our baby, and I found my amazing lactation consultant, Hideko, after taking a very informative breastfeeding class with Yvonne. Hideko was an invaluable resource to me after the baby was born and continued to be for many months afterward. There was no way I would be able to breastfeed as long as I have if it weren't for her. Separately, I worked with prenatal chiropractor Dr. Jenny Stofer as well, who is also part of the Village Birth group now. I had experienced quite a bit of discomfort in my back during my pregnancy and she always made me feel at ease, listened to my concerns, and took care of any issues I had quickly and gently. I always left my sessions with her feeling energized, supported and like my baby had more room in there! It was incredible. Village Birth is made up of such a thoughtful, supportive and kind group of individuals who are talented and passionate about their work. If you're nearby and having a baby, it is the best place for top notch care and information!
