The restaurant is tucked in on a corner of an industrial area, but don't be mislead. The moment we entered the restaurant, the interior decoration and ambience immediately sets a different tone of a high end, intimate French restaurant. The menu is very creative, and all the food and drink that we ordered exceeded our expectations: French Martini, raw oyster, umami oyster bomb, lobster bisque, lamb duo, and homemade pasta. Classic example of don't judge a book by its cover. The walk up is less than appealing but once you enter the second floor dinning room you know your meal is going to be good. I went to this restaurant with high hopes, and was not disappointed...Little Louis' is possibly the best restaurant in Moncton. The amuse-bouche was a nifty little squash soup with apple chuncks that was delicious. I followed it up with the Tuna Tataki and the Lobster Ravioli. The Tataki was great and the Ravioli perfectly cooked, but the highlight of the appetizers was the Lobster Bisque served under the Ravioli. It was a dream come true! For mains we had the Lobster on hand-made pasta which was a little lack-luster, but the salmon dish More than made up for that. This Asian fusion inspired dish had a great mix of Bock-Choi, and Crab dumplings that paired perfectly with the glazed salmon (perfectly cooked). A truly great dish! read more

While on vacation to Moncton, we discovered this gem through Yelp. They had amazing reviews and all the pictures looked beautiful. Most reviews stated that this was a high priced fine dining restaurant, but that it was well worth the price. Since we have 2 young children -a 7 and 4 year old, we were worried that they might frown upon us bringing them to a place classified as 'fine dining.' However, we don't have a babysitter here, and our kids are relatively well behaved, especially if we bring their iPads. So we decided to try it out. Upon arrival, we we noticed that it had a conservative traditional feel. The waiter was very friendly and welcomed us and our kids. The service throughout was impeccable and our waiter was very attentive, checking up on us and asking us how we found everything regularly. He was also very funny and made us feel right at home. The food exceeded our expectations and blew us away. This was hands down our best meal In Moncton, and we had a lot of wonderful meals. Everything was cooked to perfection and we couldn't have asked for more. The Beef Tartare was fresh and had a delightful mixture of spices to enhance the flavour of the beef. And the fried zucchini ribbons were beautiful and very tasty. The complimentary lobster Bisque was less creamy then most places make it, it had a nice sharp lobster taste, and didn't fill us up. The Foie Gras was my favourite dish of the evening, but that's because it is my favourite food. It was melt in your mouth tender and was a generous portion. We ordered 2 dishes of butter Poached Lobster with homemade Pappardelle. Hubby is an amazing chef and always makes fresh pasta for us so I am quite spoiled and we have high expectations for pasta. But this dish met our expectations and more. We had Lobster once or twice each day while we were in Moncton, at various establishments, but none were cooked as well as here. The flavours of this dish were divine. We ordered the Pan Fried local raised chicken dish for the kids to share. The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Underneath the breast, they pulled apart the dark meat and it had a tender flavourful stewed taste. Melted in your mouth. Since we were all stuffed, we only had 1 dessert -I almost always have room for dessert, unlike hubby. I ordered the Green Tea Panna Cotta. It had a nice bitter green tea taste, but was light and refreshing at the same time. Presentation was beautiful. Overall, our experience exceeded our expectations. The bill came to $217 plus tips, including 2 glasses of wine. This was very reasonable for the service and type of food. Back home on Toronto, the same meal would have costed substantially more. Next time we are back we will definitely return, and will likely try the tasting menu. read more

I was in Moncton for work and one of my co-workers suggested we go to Little Louis'. When I hear the name Little Louis', I think of a sports bar and wasn't initially that interested. Coupled by the fact that the restaurant is on the second floor of some random little strip mall a cab ride away from downtown. I came with low expectations. What a surprise then, to walk in the door and see a very tastefully decorated, subdued room. Our server was one of the nicest waitresses I've ever encountered and the food was fantastic! To start, we were given an amuse bouche of carrot soup - delicious! I had beets as a starter (I think there were 3 different kinds) with goat cheese - excellent! For my main, I had the lobster pasta - think, juicy pieces of lobster with a delicious sauce. Couldn't have asked for a better meal. This restaurant really is a hidden gem. Worth seeking out, and if I'm ever in Moncton again, I'll definitely return! read more

We were visiting Moncton to attend a wedding and wanted to eat out at a nice place. My friend suggested this restaurant, which she tried for free in the past because of pharmaceutical companies subventions. From outside it looks very ordinary. We went in and I was immediately charmed by the piano sound... I love piano bars, and how romantic to have a pianist play by you for dinner. Our waiter was very nice. He suggested a few items on the menu and they all turned out to be good. The oysters were amazing : it was melting in your mouth ... and wow ! The prosciutto was very tender... :) Lobster pasta : not too heavy, way way better than in Miami ! Veal : better than in montreal (I am quoting here ) It's a must !! A little expensive. It cost us 160$ plus tip plus taxes for 2 .. but really worth it :) read more

One word, everything there is delicious, even the simplest of dishes. Service is amazing, the waiters are super friendly, and a variety of wine. I think Little Louis is definitely the best restaurant in moncton. It is also a Michelin restaurant in Moncton. We should be proud to have a Michelin restaurant in Moncton. I've been there four times and never once disappointed. Last time I had salmon sous vide on top of a braised oxtail canneloni, with a range of amazing sauces - a raisiny balsamic, a squash and parsnip puree. For dessert a citrus creme brulee. Oh and the appetizer - lobster caesar salad with prosciutto and granna padano cheese. I always have seafood because the chef cooks it so well; the sous vide was perfect.
