Love their preschool at Viewridge Elementary. My son sees his speech therapist one-on-one in class…read morethere while being welcomed just like any other kid. He's learning so much, it's like night and day compared to the preschool he went to at the beginning of the year. The teachers are upbeat, but real, no phony pleasantries. They have fun with each other and the kids but also know how to lead and discipline. I hate to move away from this when we go out of state, but I'm glad my son experienced it. He went from being a black sheep in his first school experience (Montessori of all things) for his speech delay, to being an accepted and cared for student with this preschool. Rayna (hope I spelled that right), Stacy, Wumi, and any other teachers I may not have seen yet have welcomed my son warmly and given him plenty of daily challenges to recognize his abilities. He comes home charged and chatty with the days activities. I also enjoy his projects he brings home. He's coloring more precisely, writing letters and his name, singing songs, listening better, making construction projects that are really creative, learning more about days of the week, etc. Stuff you need to know for kindergarten. They definitely have a good student to teacher ratio so the kids get the attention they need. It's really just adorable to hear about the goings on in there and I can occasionally peak at the tail end of class when I come to pick him up which is always entertaining. We literally went from dreading his future based on his first teacher's opinion of him and his multitude of disabilities (according to her), to feeling filled with hope and gladness that there are people who see his abilities and the good in his personality and that he is a kid first and foremost.

I worked here so my review is more based on the employment side. Not the childcare aspect of it…read more I absolutely adored this job. I worked at previous day cares in my hometown and this one has been my favorite so far. The director (Ms Anna) and program manager (Ms Cassy) are some really amazing, kind hearted people. They always have the best interest of the kids in mind, you can tell they are really in it for the best reasons! There were tons of areas for me to grow and learn as a worker there. I was able to work with almost every age group (which was THE BEST part). The community of workers here was also my favorite part. Everyone who worked here while I did was exactly what I would want in a childcare for my child. Loving, caring people with the ability to teach and adapt to different children's learning styles. Easily one of the best jobs I have ever had!!

The center is in the basement of a church so as you can imagine it's a bit drab, but it is always clean and they are really trying to keep the area nice and friendly. The teachers are wonderful and my son just adores Miss Crystal, so I say if my 3 year-old likes it then that's good enough for me! One thing that does bother me is that they don't have much of a web presence, so if you are looking for more information about them, here is what they have on their very hard to find website (http://chicocma.com/final1_013.htm) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chico Christian Childcare has been administering the Lord Jesus to children since 1974. I faced a lot of discrimination, snarky commentary as a parent when I picked my kid up. Even my daughter got mistreated a few times. Steer away from this location they don't treat the kids well. Also food, they give the kids many sugary items at the end of the day before they send them home. Every day is a meltdown day.

***Edited*** I was so excited to start our daughter here,…read morefor the bilingual and Montessori experience. Everyone seemed very nice and although everyone was masked and provided appropriate safety measures on the tour, my child's teacher and at least two other individuals that work here do not believe in wearing a mask to protect the vulnerable children during this deadly pandemic. We had to un-enroll her after just two days here. To me, this demonstrated a poor lack of judgment among other things. Why wouldn't you want to protect the children you're teaching? I spoke with the director and she apologized and refunded all of our money. The issue with the staff not masking is complicated as they claimed a religious exemption to masking (which isn't a real thing)! We're two years into his pandemic. Wearing a mask isn't hard. I'm a nurse and wear one all day while caring for patients. It's not hard to protect yourself and others. It amazes me that I even have to write this right now but I want others to be aware before enrolling here in case keeping their children safe at preschool is a concern for them.

Kindercare in Bremerton has been the best daycare for my daughter. They have a secure facility…read more(requiring a code to enter the building and a different code to enter each of the classrooms). Because of COVID-19, all children are checked in while still outside. Masks required for the parents and teachers working there. A temperature check station is also located outside, to make sure you're child doesn't have an elevated temperature before they enter the building. My daughter attended this location for about a year and a half. I only moved Daycare's because my work situation changed. The director and all teachers are supportive, loving and they genuinely care for each child that goes there. One of my favorite parts of my daughter attending there was the app. l received updates based on her day, what she was doing and what she may need (like diapers, wipes). From the app you can also email the director and teacher's directly as well. Other updates include their bathroom habits, what they are eating for meals and snacks, AND they even upload pictures and videos! It's the coolest thing and it's something I really looked forward to daily! There's a monthly calendar outlining what your child will be learning. I could leave my daughter with the gals there with no worries. She adored the teachers there, she learned daily, and have always had great outdoor play. I can not recommend Bremerton Kindercare enough!!!!!!

This facility has some good qualities and then some really bad…read more Good: Mrs Kim is amazing and listens when there is a concern. Mrs. Crystal was a great teacher in the discovery preschool class room and had a very focused classroom. They did a lot of art and I felt like he was getting the attention he needed which was lacking in the teacher before her. Mrs. Rochelle was also great. She has a fun personality and really cared about the kids. Bad: The directors change all the time. Also the teachers rarely last more than 4 months. In the 1 year I was there they had 3 different directors. Also, the directors were never around. The door didn't lock unless you pushed the door in itself and made sure it clicked. With parents in a hurry and nobody in the front office I would often come to the center with it not locked. The keypad sucked and took multiple times to get the code to work. Even teachers complained about it. I ended up leaving because my child got sick, which isn't the daycares fault but everytime I tried to call and give an update I was cut off. By update I mean "hey he's going to be out this week again" just something short so they knew. I was told that I would get a call back and never did. This happened two of the three weeks he was out. It was after the second time that I realized they didn't care and took him out.
