IF '0' was the lowest number that is what this rates...I had my two sons in this day care for after school care for less than month. Their dad would have to pick them up from school cause they didn't travel to their elementary. This was not my first time having my kids there for after school care but this time there was a new director and staff. SO my sons knew some of the kids already there. My kids had a cell phone on them just in case cause I wanted them to be able to make sure if they needed something they could call me right away. Something about the staff didn't set right with me; just one of those vibes you get. After the third day there I get a text from my sons saying they are being picked on and bullied by the other kids. Their dad went to talk to the director and inquire more information to even giving them a solution about how maybe the staff could handle the situation. However, the director, Mrs. Puente, cause I have no problem naming her, didn't care to hear or consider their father's solution. She continued to claim that they fixed the situation by placing my elementary kids with the toddlers. REALLY, with the toddlers?? Now, why do that if you can simply just make sure that the staff are actually doing their job and watching the children they care for? I got tired of my boys texting me and telling me that they were still getting bullied and at one point one kid actually struck my son. Yet the director nor the staff show any record of it or even notifying me about this particular incident. Their only solution again is to have my sons with the toddlers as if they are the problem. When I questioned the staff why are my kids being singled out; they said because they wanted to make sure that the other kids are not picking on them. This shows that obviously they are not giving their full attention to the children under their care. They are looking for a quick way out of really giving the children full attention. This past Monday, after dropping my kids off I get a call from the director who seems to feel that my kids are the problem and would try to talk over me without getting a full understanding of where I my concerns were about my children. She simply said if you would like why don't you just come pick up your kids right now. She was very rude, aggressive and completely unprofessional. She plainly told me she was withdrawing them from their center. When I got there she basically said that my boys were the ones causing problems. And that the center didn't have the manpower to have my boys there and just wanted to argue with me in front of my kids. This place has no skill sets in watching over children or even dealing with adults in a professional manner. She had the nerve to tell me that my sons should have never been placed at that center, but she had no problem accepting the applications and payment. I let her know that the problem with the center starts at the top and that she needs to learn better management skills as a director and some. Once I left and got back to work with my boys, I get a text message from the director telling me she apologizes for her aggressive attitude and should have handled herself in a professional manner. In addition in her text she tells me that she will be working diligently to find a more experienced director. What is scary is she is a director at another day care center. I would not have any of my children or recommend this center even to my worst enemy for their children's care; this place just needs to be shut down. read more
