Just like Scott said, we looked at a bunch of other daycares in the area, including another…read moreKindercare location, before we decided on this one. We are a bit on the over protective side, and we have a hard time trusting strangers with our kid, but the people at this location do not feel like strangers at all. The director at this location really has her act together. All the teachers are really nice and knowledgeable. They are always learning about something new in fun, age appropriate ways. There is always something fun going on. Our daughter LOVES going to "school" as she calls it. She has made tons of friends there. We have since added on Phonics to the cost of her tuition and she loves that, too. They made popsicles one day. They had a cute little Halloween party (no costumes though). They are going to have pajama day, crazy hair day, and a bunch of other fun things like that. They studied the science of dirt. One of the classrooms was growing some kind of plants. Every week has a new theme for what they study. Themes include things like dinosaurs, occupations, etc. They did a cute little recital in the winter and sang a snowflake song. We had a parent teacher conference where her teacher showed us all the things she has learned so far, what she is proficient with, what she is a little behind in, etc. Any time we have any concerns we can just pop in and talk to her teacher about it so we're all on the same page. It's been really great. We are glad we found this daycare. Our daughter loves it so much, that when she is too sick to go she stays home and plays "school." I feel good knowing that she is having a great time AND learning so much. I really feel like this is helping prepare her for real school. I feel like she is in a safe place, being cared for by very capable people who genuinely care. My only complaint so far is that the only actual credit cards they take are Discover, which is just weird. So I have to pay with my debit card. But at least they send me a handy email reminder every week saying my payment is due, with the link to go online and pay it. It's very convenient to pay online.

Probably one of the best, if not the best childcare centers in the area. We were very lucky with…read moreenrollment. The curriculum is fantastic and all of the staff have to have degrees or attending school to be a lead teachers. My kid has learned so much and is challenged but still able to engage in structured pretend play. We switched from another center and my kid has thrived here. The amount of creativity we've seen increased is exciting, as well as his literacy skills.

My 2 1/2 yo daughter has been going here for several months. She previously had attended one of the…read moremore popular daycare companies in Omaha, but did not seem very happy there. Since switching to Primrose she has had a total change in her attitude- she is much happier during the week, often talks about her activities at daycare, and no longer gets upset when it's time to go to daycare. The teachers all seem kind and well trained, and consistently use age appropriate language and positive reinforcement (that was a major issue at her previous daycare- I often heard raised voices and negative tones when I was coming in for pick up). There's a mixture of guided activities and self directed play, and all the kids seem engaged. They have an on-site kitchen and my daughter, who is normally a picky eater, enjoys all of the food. The hours are great and the prices are very reasonable for the area. We feel good about the care and education our daughter gets here which is such a relief as a parent. Overall I would definitely recommend this daycare!

We attended with two children over 2 years before relocating across the country and feel immensely grateful for the time we had at MAOWO. Our children are more than ready for the next year of school thanks to the institution provided. The teachers make a special effort to live out the care, social and emotional needs of children as well. We will have memories to last years from our experience and recommend this school to anyone in the west Omaha area looking for the right school.

I have sent my 4 kids to 3 different Montessori schools over the last 11 years. Our first…read moreexperience (with a different Montessori school) was incredible but that school was bought out and the family first community and vibe quickly dissipated. After that, we were lucky enough to come across Montessori Academy of West Omaha. First and foremost, I have always felt as though each individual family is treated not only as family (as cliche as that sounds,) but the school understands each family's unique wants and needs. I am a teacher and wanted my kids home with me over the summer months, this is one of the only Montessori schools in Omaha that not only allows that, but encourages it because "what's best for your family is best for us!" even though that translates to a loss in tuition for the school. I have never once thought of Montessori Academy of West Omaha as a school that only sees my kids as a tuition bill, which I cannot say the same for the other school we attended. This school truly embodies the Montessori philosophy of "follow the child." Our daughter looks forward to school, her friends, and being challenged where she is at individually. The small class sizes at Montessori Academy of West Omaha allow for my daughter to receive direct, specialized instruction. We all know kids are not the same, not all kids are interested in the same things, this school has proven they can nurture each child in growing academically, socially, and emotionally. With my experience in Montessori for the past 10 years, trust me when I say, you will NOT be disappointed in sending your child(ren) to this one-of-a-kind preschool.
