Miss this place - it was THE classic Hallmark store, with ALL the fun stuff! Great deals, too!

National Mustard Museum - Lots of Mustard!

National Mustard Museum

One of the most unexpectedly fun stops I made while in Middleton, Wisconsin? The National Mustard…read moreMuseum. And yes... it's exactly what it sounds like. Inside you'll find thousands of mustards from every U.S. state and countries all over the world, all displayed in this massive wall of jars. There's also a mustard tasting bar where you can sample tons of different flavors -- from classic yellow to sweet, spicy, and some seriously unique combinations. Beyond the tastings, there's a whole museum section dedicated to the history of mustard, plus plenty of quirky displays and memorabilia that make it a surprisingly entertaining stop. Whether you're a mustard lover or just looking for something different to check out while in the Madison area, it's definitely worth popping in.

As someone who puts mustard on everything (and I really mean everything because I even have dessert…read moremustards) I could not believe my luck to happen upon the National Mustard Museum during my brief trip to WI! A true gem, this museum is born out of adoration for this most perfect condiment. The exhibits are all playful as well as informative and one will learn all about mustard from it's noble seed to final liquid elixir. There are literally thousands of jars on display, and over a hundred for tasting up in the gift shop area! Do yourself a favor and make sure you travel with checked luggage so you can take home a treasure trove; they do ship though if you're traveling light! Prices are super reasonable. The staff were warm and welcoming and ready to assist without being overbearing at all. If you're in town, you have to check this museum out!

Paper Source consistently delivers very creative and fun cards for any special occasion. The card…read moreselection is very good with cards ranging from celebrating birthdays to lifetime milestones. I do enjoy the attention to detail that is shown with each card. The paper source store on hilldale is very clean and well-organized. The price is a bit on the higher side ($6-$10), but the uniqueness and attention to detail make it worth in my opinion. Overall, would recommend for anyone who is looking to get a card for a special person.

You feel me? Yeah. Retail crack. Are you super into bullet journaling? THIS IS THE SPOT!! They have washi tape, washi stickers, hand-printed mulberry sheets, journals, planners, rubber stamps, clear stamps, greeting cards, party supplies, stationary areas sorted by theme, perfect gifts for paper and sticker misers of ALL ages, and a clearance section that's somehow just as pretty as the rest of the store. I think I was running a fever by the time we left--everything was just so darn CUTE! They even have a counter-height table for teaching new skills--and if I'm not mistaken, you can have PARTIES in there! Just imagine... a card-making party, where you invite ALL of the friends you'd send cards to! I love, love, LOVE this store. My boyfriend? Not so much. Leave the non-crafty people at home. But definitely check it out for yourself!

My first visit to Bergamot yesterday was AMAZING! I loved…read morethe interior of the space. Nothing over the top, just a warm and inviting atmosphere. I thought it was a little strange having to take off my shoes upon entry (spa sandals were provided). Had I had nicer shoes on, I wouldn't have wanted to just leave them by the front door for anyone to take if they felt so inclined. I learned later (after my massage) that there are lockers in the bathroom. I assume I could have locked my shoes up if I had wanted, but that wasn't offered to me. I was promptly greeted by my massage therapist (Ty) after I filled out some new client paperwork. She showed me to the treatment room, and it was truly the nicest one I had ever been in. I LOVED the up lighting in the room. It added a calming glow to an otherwise dark room. Not only did my therapist read my chart, but she sat down and discussed my wants/needs for my 75 minute session. You don't get that kind of personal interaction at larger day spas. Some of those spas are more like a "one size fits all" quantity over quality places. That is not the case here. My massage was WONDERFUL. It was the right amount of therapeutic and relaxing, and the use of warm towels was the cherry on top. Ty addressed my areas of concern and took the time after my massage to tell me her findings. I have definitely found my new place to go to for massage. I see no reason to go anywhere else now unless I'm out of town. I wish I would have stopped in sooner! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The massage therapist was kind and welcoming but I noticed that she had on an earbuds-type headset that she wore around the back of her neck. OK, maybe she listens to something that gets her into her groove but several times during the massage she seemed to drift her focus away from me: only one hand on my body that seemed to just stop in mid stroke or repeated massaging the same area over and over and over again, each time getting deeper than the medium touch we had discussed. I even could hear another sound in the room other than the soothing music that was playing. Was that coming from her earpieces? She also spent so much time on my back side that by the time she asked me to flip over the massage was almost done. She just seemed distracted. I will go back but to my usual therapist who has always kept me 100% the focus of her attention.
