Welcome to a locally owned and black business! For who uniquely owns it, seriously check out their website. Perhaps you've heard of this local celebrity! https://prairiepagesbooks.com/who-we-are
Anyways, Prairie Pages caught my eye, rather the wife's eye as she screamed "OOH!" And I had to pull over since why not give me heart attack. She looked up the information checked out books from their website (seriously a wide selection to see if you are able to find or order what you need!) And instantly pleaded with me like a kitten to get in there!
So we went! A how colorful and ambient this place has been. Smelled fresh and some spots like the days when you were a kid and biked yourself to the local library during the summer and spent your afternoons there because the library was your one true friend!
She spent $150 I believe on her murder mystery novels because what uniquely interesting and spirited person isnt going to buy murder mysteries!?!?
And one of my favorites, mystery wrapped books with accompanied tea to relax, sink, and feel the mood with every breezing sip.
We found historically black/black authors, asian/hispanic/native and many more to connect with specific voices and different world views. Kids sections are ironed out well with amazing ethnic reads. And lounging to bring you to a comfortable "shoot! Shoot! Im late because i got so swooped in a book!' While you're at it!
Its next to several businesses that are local so dont forget to stop in and find your next buzz.
