They show an older movie one Sunday a month and tickets are purely by donation so it's great to support local ! They also have popcorn, sodas and wine also by donation. So pay what you like. But obviously be generous ! We saw an oldie but goodie which I hadn't seen in years , Out of Africa. Great movie and they had a nice turn out of locals. I loved I was the youngest person there lol. I was happy to make my friend happy by attending somewhere she'd been meaning to try out. The staff are also so nice . Would definetly do this again!

The cemetery was added to the the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. I was here to visit the final resting place of Pepsi inventor Caleb Bradham but there are others interred here including William Joseph Williams who painted the "Masonic Portrait" of George Washington. Bradham's stone is quite far back and unremarkable. There were a couple of Pepsi bottles on it that make it easier to find. The center fountain is impressive. That's reason enough to visit, but take time to review the map and accompanying chart at the entrance on the Weeping Arch side of the cemetery and get an idea of who else is buried here. Some of the locations were hard to find because the portable maps were all out, but if you reference an app on your phone (Find-A-Grave) you can get pretty good coordinates for any of the locations that you're looking for. Overall, a worthwhile trip to pay respects to various people who have made their impact in the New Bern area.

I have an old friend, a 90's era, Guild F4CE acoustic/electric six string, that I am quite fond of. We've gone through a lot of string changes over these many years and I am very careful when it comes to who fiddles with my guitar. Like all things man made, stuff wears out. This was the case for the Fishman Transducer. The original had failed years ago but I was lucky to find a new/old stock exact replacement. Not so this time. At Fishman suggestion, I located a new pickup but, being 71 years old, I didn't feel as comfortable doing the swap so I decided to ask Pete at Guitar's Etc. The first thing I noticed was theor business hours, Monday through Saturday, 10-6 (except Saturday, then it's 10-4). I found that very reassuring. On Monday morning, I showed Pete the problem and he simply replied, "no problem. Ready Wednesday or Thursday." Finally, the last question, "How much". I watched him doa bit of mental calculations and he replied, "$50 bucks." I'm sure I looked stunned for a minute, then calmly replied, "What year is it!" To my thinking, that was a bargain. Of course I needed new strings which they also had so, I gave him the go-ahead and left the guitar in his capable hands. That evening, around 6:00, I received a text telling me the job was finished and to come pick up my guitar. it's now Tuesday evening and I've just finished checking out Pete's work - perfect!! Nice tight fit with the action being exactly as it was. Nice job Pete, thanks. While I was there I checked the prices for new stuff and it's comparable to the big stores. There's a very good reason they've been around all these years. Dependable, steadfast, solid service. Do yourself a favor and drop by. Tell them JC sent you.

To make matters worse, they charged her $20 Logitech wireless keyboard and then didn't put it in the package with the new computer. They also included some random computer plug that belonged to a Dell computer, not her HP. How do you mess so many things up? Staples exists solely because they sell overpriced garbage and prey on elderly people and people who don't know better about technology. Save your time and money and talk to your grandkids instead of a so-called "professional" at Staples.
