He is exactly what everyone fears when allowing an 'unbiased 3rd party' to evaluate a property. His opinions are so strong (ill-informed, misguided, racist) that he can't even feign an unbiased report. It is like he is trying to steer the market into some weird racist parallel universe. Please file a claim with the NC Appraisal Board if you have an issue with him. He needs to find a new profession.

Mr. Lavigne neither showed up at the prescribed time, nor contacted anyone to let them know he wasn't going to make it. I contacted Mr. Lavigne and asked him about the appraisal and gave him the address and he seemed confused and said he's 'too busy' and can't handle the business. I suggested that he shouldn't have agreed to do the appraisal if he was too busy and he said "find someone else then!". It's not uncommon to find unprofessional business people in New Bern but Lavigne Appraisals ranks right up there with the worst of them. Take your business and money elsewhere where it is appreciated and to a company that has better time management skills.
