How unique is this LFL!! So clever and colorful with paintings of Dr. Seuss characters and quotes…read moreon every inch of this cute, blue community book box! Oh, the places you'll go indeed, when you expand your mind and open the spine of a book! I was a former English teacher and advocated reading all sorts of literature to my students. Fancy a love story, an adventure, a historical drama, an autobiography, a sci-fi tale, a poetic piece, a best seller, a Shakespearean tragedy (I chose a copy of MacBeth to take home!) a comical farce, a political view?? This library has it all! Well, almost! If your interests lean toward theology, you are out of luck! I love the imaginative and mostly welcoming spirit of this Little Free Library. The steward of this neighborhood library lets their personal views hinder some types of books they allow included though, which of course is their prerogative. I'm thankful actual libraries welcome a variety of books, opinions and points of view despite political, social, or religious affiliation. Of course, no one wants these LFLs to be inundated with just one genre of book, but to ban certain books is questionable to say the least. I think anyone's voice should be heard, "no matter how small", and I think Horton would agree. Come sit on the hand painted bench, it's a little nook! You may take a load off to read a good book! Feel free to take a book home or maybe leave one! Either way, you are bound to have lots of fun! (But don't leave religious books, they frown on that! Which is rather prejudice, says this cat in the hat!) To "throw" books away is sad and quite rude, Freedom of speech is my foremost attitude. The sign says "be kind" and on that we agree But the box & your minds should be open and free! To be inclusive, welcome all sorts books People vary in tastes, personalities and looks! Yet you are the steward, to boycott is your choice But I'd rather see everyone's books and hear their voice! Science, history, poetry, theology or romance I think all titles should be given a chance! The creativity on this library has earned them 5 stars, But don't discriminate on topic, or put freedom in jars Dr. Seuss was a genius, and came to other's defense I wonder how he'd feel? But that's just my two cents!

Five stars for this amazing Little Free Library that has been made from a former phone booth that…read morehas been painted to look like a rocket ship. It is the largest library I've ever seen with several shelves of books, all stacked high. Paperbacks, hardcovers, fiction, reference, biography and more. There's something here for everyone. It might not be the tidiest display but it is clean and dry inside. I would be surprised if you didn't find a book here to take. Definitely very cool. This is charter number 30071 and the steward is Cheryl. The online caption reads, "Good Life Corporation - A small company supporting people with intellectual disability to live, work and play in the community. Our mission is to provide FUN, secure, person centered services for adults with disabilities. We love to do Random Acts of Kindness for members of our community. We wanted some new, different ideas to spread happiness and good will. So, we searched the internet for ideas and we came across the Little Free Library. Built by our own Good Works crew." Awesome! What a creative way to display books to keep the reading community inspired and well read! There's such a nice variety in here too! Several shelves filled to the brim for any voracious reader! Classics, reference, best sellers, self help, travel and even some thought provoking spiritual gems!! The steward of this "ship" could come down the to earth once in awhile to organize it a bit. Or anyone who stops by could also be sure to leave it tidy, but nevertheless, it's out of this world! If you see this cool LFL don't blast off by, land here and check it out!

This is one of my favorite places in the area. Whenever my partner and I go book shopping, we come…read morehere first (and we also sell them all the books we read for store credit). The staff is so friendly, and the selection of books is LARGE. There is something for everyone here, whether you're looking for a classic, a mystery, manga, a cookbook, or even a puzzle. They also do little events throughout the year, and put a lot of love and thought into them. If you follow their social media you can see when the events are and I encourage you to attend! They always have a fun game or free gift or little treats. It is such a homey feel, and is so great if you like the classic bookstore feel. The pricing structure is also simple and straightforward; you pay half the cover price for any book you get (which means many of the older books/airport readers are a super great deal). Couldn't recommend more!

Books are 50% off the cover price, in the back there are 1$, 2$, & 3$ books marked with…read morecorresponding stars *. I picked up a couple of books from those shelves. There's a section for vintage and classic books and an adorable couch to sit on if you want to get cozy and read a bit. The window displays are always cute, there's a "beach" read theme for the summer! Inside there's a mystery display. Current popular authors are found as well as some obscure ones. Very small poetry section, which is sad as I'm a fan and writer of poetry! Nice and helpful staff!
