I had seen an ad for the upcoming movie and really wanted to read the book. Richmond Public Library didn't seem to offer it, but Henrico Public Library had three copies. I feel like Henrico always has more book options which is nice. Instead of placing it on hold and waiting for it to come to a closer library, I decided to go check out a new to me library. I loved how modern this library was. There was a HUGE amount of parking available. They had women and men restrooms near the front. I liked that at the front they had a new release shelf. They had some other shelves upstairs, but it seems like a majority of the books can be found downstairs. There is a lot of seating as well as a computer lab downstairs. They even had private rooms for rent. It took me a bit to find the graphic novel section. A sweet librarian asked me if they could help and thankfully they pointed me to the correct section to find my book. I loved that at the graphic novel section they had a free bookmark with notable adult graphic novel artists names. The checkout system is DIY. You scan your card and leave the book on this scale that automatically knows what book it is. Another librarian explained this process to me. I had a great time at this library and would recommend it for a new working space (they had good wifi) or finding great books.

The library has nice big tables with lamps and outlets for grad students or students looking for a quiet place to study for free. The library features 17 computers for use, plus a 15 minutes use only computer, and two computers with games and interactive software for kids in the children's section. This branch also has an excellent DVD collection. This branch was renovated and reopened on June of 2016, so it is spacious and clean with a new feeling. The front entrance has bike racks and plentiful parking in the back. The staff here are friendly and super helpful. This library is one of my favorite Richmond libraries so far.
